H&Alover Posted August 24 Report Posted August 24 (edited) To quote the late Jimmy Cricket "and there's more". Mali knows Alf runs the Caravan Park as he has stayed there and any of us oldies knows it's his, I'm guessing any visitors to the bay would ask if there is anywhere they can stay and anyone could point them to the Caravan Park. It has been a while since we've seen the Big House. David was back to the David we first met, very terse with everyone, especially Cash. But is he using that tough front to mask how he is really feeling? Tad remiss of Cash not removing Richie's file from the pile David was going through. it was unfair of Lacey asking Cash to keep an eye on David, she has met David hasn't she? Then causally dropping by. Jo did try and deter her by saying he and their mum would have been going through the same thing when they went out clubbing. There was a replay of Jo saying about how their mum used to worry if he came home late after his shift. David did seem more with it when they went on the raid at the gym. It was sad for Amelia David telling he was still in love with his wife, but I liked he was honest with her. I do hope I'm wrong about the fact Zane was so open about earning Alf's respect and trust, hope the reason he left his mums wasn't too dramatic. A 10 year sentence was a long one for a nearly 18 year old. The fact Maz had been writing to him for a while may seem out of the blue but we don't have to know everything about a local. I suppose Alf could put him to work at the Caravan Park/bait shop. Going back to Beau and his treatment of Harper, anyone else thinking he's done this before? Types like him do zone in on what they regard as being more vulnerable. Ok I will believe you writers Do you look your age pembi? Edited August 24 by H&Alover Quote
Medea Fleecestealer Posted August 24 Report Posted August 24 I'm sorta surprised Alf isn't more tolerant of Zane given all the fostering that's happened in the series over the years. Okay Zane is older than the kids that were fostered, but surely Alf would believe that most people need to be given a 2nd chance. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted August 24 Report Posted August 24 Well, the drugs raid was a bust. I did appreciate David and Tane being professional with each other after lots of theorising about how David would handle it, given he was back to warning Tane off Jo not too long ago. Cash does his best interrogating Beau and pokes holes in his story but, as he notes to David, him being a liar doesn't prove he's a drug dealer. It's easy in retrospect but Remi shot himself in the foot a bit by tipping Sonny off about the police and giving him time to remove the steroids. Of course, if David had found them in Sonny's locker, there'd be no chance of keeping him out of it. I kind of echoed Sonny's comment about hearing it before when Remi said they were through but we'll see how it goes. I think we need to remember that at the end of 8766, it's still only a matter of hours since Beau hit Harper. In an ideal world, she'd just give him her marching orders but, rightly or wrongly, she's worried about his reaction and him taking it out on her and Archie. Plus she's kind of been bombarded with other stuff, with first Cash turning up to take Beau in for questioning and then Tane turning up and accusing him of being a drug dealer. So I can understand her needing a bit more time than this to extricate herself from the situation. Quote
pembie Posted August 24 Report Posted August 24 At this rate Tane l would say half of that gym are probably doing deals with Sonny and Beau At this stage I would say it would take a hell of redemption to fix Sonny Quote
H&Alover Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 As you said Medea, the kids that were fostered at the Caravan Park were a lot younger though some weren't always perfect, but no-one is and Alf wasn't as amiable as he is now. Plus Zane isn't being fostered Maz is just paying for a van to for him to stay stay in. he did make some connections with Leah, Justin, Mali and Lacey. He was totally honest with Alf and Maz as to why he was in that long, could have been longer seeing as he is on parole. David was wearing his cops hat speaking to Tane and didn't hold any personal resentment, justified or otherwise, against him. David is being very professional when asked by, Leah of course, why he was inside as was Cash. They, well David at least, would know as he had his paperwork. We do tend to forget that although we are watching any episode the next day in Summer Bay land it could be the same day. Beau, for me, was too glib with his answers, knowing just what to say or not to say. As David said there is no proof at the moment of any dug dealing at the gym. Harper is keeping Archie well out of Beau's way, though Tane has to be wondering why she is letting him stay with him more. Tane is now aware of Beau and what he may be doing there. If you think about it he doesn't seem to be using the gym that much as a regular would. Wouldn't any members have to sign in? That's despite Sonny calling him a gym buddy. Quote

However, Spoiler Sonny isn't so my question is how does Sonny come back from both Spoiler A broken off engagement and the shame of being a user & dealer? Does the Aussie system do deals/plea bargaining? So if he pleads guilty to possession with intent to supply, the judge will take into account the crash, his difficulty recovering and Beau's press ganging of him into supply? Quote

All answers I don’t know James we will find out together haha the really silly thing for me was he was up and walking before getting involved with Beau Quote
