Red Ranger 1 Posted August 13 Report Posted August 13 There were some amusing moments in there with the boys' rivalry. I loved the way Cash turned the music up only for Levi to calmly turn it back down again and Cash giving him that "Really?" look. Tane and Mali were happy to land them in it and just leave them to it. John talking as if it's The Hunger Games. Still, I'm not sure Levi taking one good shot is the decider everyone seemed to think it was, he could easily mess up the other two if, as he said, he's never done this before. Wow, wonders will never cease: After appearing to shift back into old habits last episode, Alf is actually supporting John's ideas and even buying him a thank you coffee. There is something quite endearing about the way John doesn't quite know how to react to this new mellow Alf, while Alf is having to spell out that he's on his side because he's really not used to it. I'm crossing my fingers that this is a new start for them and they won't lapse back into old habits. It was also quite nice that John was pleased for Dana thinking of taking the plunge with Sonny, even though there's a lot going on that neither of them knows about. It was interesting that Beau said Sonny hasn't made a sale (so how did things end with that woman he was sounding out?), and he manages to mess up acting as a courier here, so maybe he hasn't crossed a line legally? Okay, judging by comments upthread...have I missed something? Surely Beau knew that Harper wasn't at her home because that's where he was? He said she was halfway across town, so presumably she's taking Marilyn and Archie back to the caravan park like she said she was, rather than downstairs in the Diner. Beau really didn't seem to like Harper giving Archie attention instead of him... Quote

It showed him Harper wasn't where she said was going to be. Even which floor of a building they’re in?! I didn’t know that, how amazing (and creepy)! 3 hours ago, Red Ranger 1 said: Okay, judging by comments upthread...have I missed something? Early in Wednesday’s episode, Beau & Harper were Beau having seen on the app the night before that Harper was at the Diner and having surprised her by joining her. If it were me on Find My Friends I’d just have assumed she was at home. Quote

Is his doing a bit more than just checking the app? A good point - as I understand it the share house is above the Diner right? Quote

H&Alover Posted August 14 Report Posted August 14 They were fun moments with the 'boys' acting like well boys. It was a bit of a cheek Levi turning down Cash's radio radio, bet that ride was fun. Did Levi really take an iron with him? We did see the result of the archery contest but won't say nuffin' in case people haven't seen it yet. I'm not totally sure the game they were playing was paintball. I'm guessing that woman/girl did turn down Sonny's 'kind' offer, he could hardly force her could he and it's not his style anyway, at least it was out of the gym so no repercussions for Tane. With Declan that wasn't his fault either, as he said to Beau he could hardly say "Excuse me Dana while I go and sell this guy drugs". Someone does find out who Sonny's dealer is. Harper did ask Maz to take Archie for the night once she had finished her shift but Maz needed to do some shopping so Harper took her in her car which was way she was all over the place before she went to the caravan park. Harper saw a very different side to him. Certainly NOT making excuses for Beau but he's obviously very insecure that he feels he's being upstaged by a baby. I'm not surprised John was so edgy when Alf was praising him, not something we're used to either. Like you Red, hope it stays that way. Not that they'll ever be BFF but that would be too much to ask for. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted August 14 Report Posted August 14 Alf's episode count this week:Two. Yep, at this point I think we can safely say that Harper can't hide behind any excuses about not having seen Beau's dark side.I'm not really sure I'd describe him as insecure, I think he just likes having things the way he wants them. Then again, he does seem to spiral quickly when things go wrong, so maybe there is an element of that.At least Harper sent his away, but from the way she was hiding the wound later on, I'm not even sure that she'll tell Dana when push comes to shove.Meanwhile, Remi has worked out that Beau is Sonny's dealer but the problem persists that Sonny doesn't actually want his help. With that in mind, I'm not sure that either warning Beau off or paying him off will be enough to keep Sonny away from him. Given how wide of the mark Cash's first two arrows were, if he was still in with a chance of beating Levi, I guess Levi's other two shots weren't that great either! I'm not sure the countdown really helped Levi, it might have been best to just let him do the best time he could. Anyway, the later exercise seemed to put them a bit more at ease with each other, especially Levi's exaggerated hand signals. I didn't see any paint and they didn't have the right protective gear for paintball, I think it was meant to be some sort of laser tag. I did think that the adventure camp wasn't really Remi's thing! Slade Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 I do often feel sorry for Harper. I remember her face when she was disappointed when Alf didn't want to go to Archie's birthday part initially (although I liked her delight when he did turn up). When she first got with Beau, my initial thoughts were it is going to end in tears. She looked so happy with him. In one of the pictures for an episode last week on Channel 5's App, she was looking at him with puppy dog eyes. I did feel sorry for her again when Beau forcefully hurt her arm. At that point she should have ended things, but I can't believe she's fallen for his sob story and given him another chance, despite the fact she acknowledged how often some of her clients heard the same thing. The initial red flag should have been his constant insisting that they both download the app onto their phones so they can keep track of each other's locations. Hate to say it but I can only assume she's desperate to be with someone. Even when she met Tane at the Surf Club, he gave Archie back to her, and questioned why she and Archie were staying over at Beau's, she got ever so slightly defensive. I'm not looking forward to how Tane is going to react when this all comes out. Have to say Sonny and Remi are both coming across pretty badly. At least with Sonny his excuse is his drug addiction, but Remi should be warning Harper about Beau, especially given he lives with Tane now and has spent time with Archie himself. I feel sorry for Levi. Seeing him failing to try to make friends but unfortunately you can't force something like that. In most cases it has to occur naturally and he has very little in common with most of the Summer Bay residents. If it wasn't for Mac he wouldn't have have lived in in a place like Summer Bay. I did also feel a bit bad when he overheard them saying Cash only invited him because Eden told him to. I can understand Levi being competitive as a reaction to that. I did quite like the amusement Tane/Mali had forcing Levi and Cash together. Glad Levi found a little bit of common ground with Cash and Mali, talking about his experiences with Doctors without borders. Unfortunate him falling off the cliff and having his arm trapped. I hope he's going to be OK. Alf seems to have had a mild personality transplant. He actually gave credit to John, seemed a lot more easy going during the charity auction event and even requested that Dana call him Alf instead of Mr Stewart. I did quite enjoy their scenes with Alf teaching her to fish and Dana liking the calmness and tranquillity around it. I'm really enjoying the Amelia/David stuff. It's funny, I think David has gotten quite a bit of flack off certain Summer Bay residents (Leah/Justin/Harper etc). I think he's handled himself very well in those situations and I appreciate most of the time he is just trying to do his job. In spite of that, I just find very little likeable about him which is why I'm struggling to understand how Amelia has developed feelings for David (and quite quickly too). How? Leah annoyed me when she interfered and warned Amelia off pursuing David, but I sill quite like her and Justin's involvement. I enjoyed Justin's one on one chats with David and the scenes where he's been discussing the whole thing with Leah and how best to approach it. I also liked their facial expressions shortly after Amelia told them David said absolutely nothing about a romantic relationship with her and she left Salt mortified. I liked the awkwardness with that scene when Jo went to pay for the coffee. Probably two weeks tops before David's tongue is down Amelia's throat anyway. Quote
Serenity6063 Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 I’ve really enjoyed the whole David/Amelia dynamic which is probably what’s kept me watching everyday, I find myself looking forward to their scenes together, the awkwardness, the little look and banter is such a refreshing change from the dramas of Summer Bay. I’m all for them and can’t wait to see what happens as time goes on, I do have a slight crush on Jeremy and Nicole is one of my favourite actresses so they are my couple on Home and Away. I’m struggling with the Harper storyline due to my own experience with DV, but I know it’s an important subject to address but it has been very hard to watch. Quote

Please be aware that Spoiler Beau hits Harper in next week's episodes. I know we're spoiler free but you probably deserve the heads up on that. 1 Quote
