David and Amelia talked  it through and she did apologise for speaking in his behalf and they have come to a pact.  Leah nudged Justin into going round to David's with the  obligatory cans of beer, didn't  see a 🏳️ though. Anyways they made their peace and got down to what was really important watching old footy games.  Going by what we saw/heard they support different teams. 😃  David's long term plans for  him and Amelia may not come to anything when Levi returns to his job.

David had been trying to get in touch with Justin but he was abiding by Amelia's wishes/demand  he and Leah  leave David alone.  Now they can all meet  up again but obs not at Justin and Leah's.

Gong onto Richie he can't afford to stay at the Caravan Park as he hasn't  got any money.

John was being John just suddenly throwing a "What if " at Richie.  He, Richie, was very eager to please at the Bronze Medallion meeting  but as John warned those who are too keen can become a  cropper.  In his favour Richie would know about doing CPR, he would have learnt that in his training as a cop. Plus he'd be pretty fit   which will needed.

Glad Alf owned up  to his faux pas when he was talking to Tane before.  It was a rousing speech Alf gave about how the community looks after those who need it.

Yes, it was nice to see David and Justin's bromance back on. Perhaps even more important than the footie was David asking about Richie, even if he's glad he's not the one trying to steer him round the right path anymore. Actually, despite a couple of awkward moments with David and Cash, Richie does seem to be gaining acceptance: Remi and Eden, who've made their thoughts known about Abigail getting back with him, seemed fine with him here. John's comment about thinking you know everything cut deeper than he probably intended though.

I don't think Mali said anything that Alf hadn't/wouldn't have said but I guess Tane was in a better mood to hear it. It was good of him to go round and check on Cash after hearing Remi and Abby talking. Of course, now Eden's taken yet another turn for the worse...

Yesterdays 'new' episode covered two SL's one quite fun, John using his 📣 as only John can.  The way he used it to tell people to pick up their rubbish.😄 He certainly put the volunteers  through their paces and he was impressed by what Richie did. Watching it I did think it must be hard to run in sand and the actors/actresses did well 'acting' like they were genuine potential volunteer Life Guards.  Totally off subject, kind of, Richie does have  a good bod on him.  Touching he wanted to be there for Abby when Mac told him Abby was at the hospital to be with Eden.

The other SL was the complete opposite with Eden's collapse and even she acknowledged she needed to go to hospital.  Not good news for her and Cash  did the usual thing of shouting at the doctor/specialist when he wasn't able to give him the news he wanted, that Eden would be OK. She had been fine with the blood transfusions but now it's affecting her body in the way it shouldn't,  it's built up too much  iron in her body.  He did say it's very rare this happens but of course everyone is different. Then Cash  got more bad news about Melanie.

Alf's episode count this week:Three. David was in four but he wasn't credited on 8816 and only appeared in one scene near the end, so I'm guessing that got moved from the following episode.

Well, Melanie really didn't go the way I was expecting, I thought it'd turn out she wasn't what she said she was, but it seems it's more a case of her not being what Cash thought she was/wanted her to be. He pinned all his hope on her as evidence that Eden could live for years with this, refusing to accept that Eden was deteriorating faster, and now he's been given stark evidence that Melanie couldn't survive indefinitely either. I'm trying to be sympathetic towards him, because this is obviously hard on him too, but this was a bad time for him to run away and write himself off. Hopefully the fact he put down the glass and picked up the phone to Gary is a good sign. Eden seems to have backed down from not making a decision without Cash there as well.

Well, after Richie's confidence got punctured by John at the end of last episode, he seemed to get it back here a bit, even if he couldn't enjoy the moment because of worrying about Eden and her family. He definitely seems to have learnt how to get on John's good side!

Great to see Peter Phelps return as Gary (was he ill in real life? I thought I read that, but can’t see anything trustworthy).

I really love what the show has done with recurring guests like him and the Fowlers’ parents, I hope it continues.

I didn’t agree with his behaviour towards Remi though, Gary should know more than anyone that family comes in all shapes and sizes.

I'm wondering if Eden's storyline will be resolved one way or the other before the UK winter break happens.  Will be annoying having to wait until the New Year to find out whether she makes it or not.  I'm betting a last minute doner is found.  Still I wonder if she would be too ill to undergo any treatment needed before the transplant could be done.
