Alf's episode count this week: One! Well, that's unusual.

I'm not quite sure how reasonable Sonny was being. It was possibly a bit much for Dylan to expect Sonny to hide him without explanation, but it does sound like Dylan's done plenty of similar favours for Sonny in the past. And as Remi points out, Sonny is hiding a lot from Dylan, although I accept his point that he doesn't want to upset him. Still, at the very least he's going to query just how long Dana's "away" for, especially if he's intending to spend the whole of his gap year in Summer Bay!

Jo fills Lacey in on Amelia over and surprisingly she seems to take it in her stride. It is curious how Amelia seemed to slip into the role of a mother figure at the end when Lacey was being a bit panicky. I did feel a bit sorry for Amelia with the reception she got from Levi, although he did seem to understand her position and realise he was being unfair, he just didn't have the headspace to deal with it.

I’m loving Amelia’s growing relationship with Lacey, I really want Levi to suggest a way for them both to stay at the hospital.

I have to say, I’m amazed at how easily I’ve accepted the Langhams in the Beach House without thinking of Irene whenever it’s onscreen. Maybe it’s just having it onscreen, plus the exterior scenes now, it’s great to have it more central again.

I’m loving Amelia and Lacey too. Especially since Lacey had told David she couldn’t see her and Amelia being besties so seeing them get close is lovely.

It is good seeing Jo and  Lacey accepting Amelia though Amelia blotted her  copybook somewhat  by her advising Lacey to go for it with Dylan after Jo had filled her in why she had been so jumpy with him earlier.  It was only advice, Lacey didn't have to take it.  Now of course Dylan has had his orders from Sonny to stay away from Lacey.   I did have a thought that  somewhere in Lacey's mind she was thinking Dylan   could be  another Holden, he seemed to be a good guy at first until Lacey told him she wanted to be friends which he couldn't get his head around.  Anyways they have set up a date so lets see how it goes, wonder if he will tell her Sonny filled him in about Theo?

It said a lot that Lacey didn't flip out when Dylan called Amelia her step mum.

It's a big ask that Sonny has put on  Remi.  Someone  will let slip Sonny and Dana have split, that's without his other secrets.

Quick aside Remi teasing Sonny that  the six weeks he's been  working  at Salt  is the longest he's had a job.😁  Seemingly the bay is the longest place he's stayed in,  he pitched   up back in February last year.

Levi did apologise to Amelia which she  accepted, I guess she can see it from his point of view and he has got some feeling back in his fingers.  Mac said exactly what I've been saying about doctors being the worst patients. 😁

It has been nice seeing the outside of the Beach House, we never saw it when Irene was living there.

I have to admit Amelia and Lacey bonding finally broke me!  Lovely scene.  However, now Jo's the enemy! 😂

I've done Thursday/Friday in one sitting and it was nice to have 40 odd minutes of pure character driven telly, as well as a diversion from the darker stuff with the Fowlers.

Laura V has clearly had some fun if the promo is anything to go by 😂 but even though it's obvious David moving on with Amelia (and in particular Lacey's hostility) was ultimately setting us up for this, I like the way it's being done.

It is interesting the way Lacey has kind of accepted Amelia without really thinking about it, while Jo seems to be struggling with the reality of having another woman in their lives somewhat. Still, while she didn't flip out, Lacey was pretty firm about Amelia not being her stepmum. This is why overusing the term "partner" causes confusion: I get that people might not be comfortable referring to an older woman as a "girlfriend", but it made it sound like she's David's wife in all but name, not someone he's only been dating a matter of weeks. Sonny's word to Dylan was well-meant but just confused the issue. Anyway, Lacey's decided to take the bull by the horns, however awkward it might be.

I'm glad Levi apologised to Amelia and gave her a straight answer, even if it wasn't the one she wanted to hear, although he showed an understandable lack of interest in Mackenzie obsessing about Amelia and David's relationship.

Dylan’s reaction to Lacey’s flirting made me wonder if he’s a virgin or at least inexperienced, he really didn’t know how to handle the situation.

It was interesting that Lacey seemed like  she was acting out of character, but she seemed like she was acting how she was when she first met Theo, it never crossed my mind that she was drunk until it was suggested.

The term girlfriend for me sounds exicting and exotic partner sounds very business like too me

It did make me laugh how fast Lacey showed interest it was like she had been bitten by a love parasite or something

Not the first time Lacey has gotten drunk to manage a situation.  If she was trying to convince him to take her to bed with him, is that what she's really after?

I'm not sure why Jo is holding Amelia culpable in all of this.  She's not pushed back until now.

Never thought of it before but she was right Lacey and Theo never 'dated' in the usual sense of the word and like most RB's Gage wouldn't be into dating, they just say to the girl/woman they fancy at the time "You're mine".

She did look stunning and it may have been a little old fashioned but I did give a sigh when Dylan pulled Lacey's chair out for her.  I'm putting her drinking more than she should have down to nerves, Dylan did try sneakily to get her to have  a drink of water in between  the glasses of wine.  Dylan got rumbled about his secret date. Sonny and Jo timed that interruption very well, good collaboration there guys.  It didn't appear to put Dylan off wanting to see Lacey again.  It's down to her now and whether she can get over her embarrassment.  David did  his raised eyebrow look when  Jo and Sonny brought Lacey home when Dylan's name was mentioned and another one who commented he didn't  know Sonny had  a brother.

May just me but could we see Sonny and Jo as a couple?

I think in Lacey's and possibly in Jo's eyes David  have been together long enough for her to be anywhere near being called a step mum.  I think we are all guilty of thinking someone being called girlfriend/boyfriend only applies to the younger set, whoever they are. Partner does sound like a couple who have been together a while, Amelia's suggestion 'lover' was cheeky. The term companion to me sounds like someone who tends an elderly, infirm person.

Just as David is coming round the the fact Amelia could be in his life term term she had to drop the news she may not be around long term due to will happen when Levi is OK'd to go back t work. He won't be allowed to work on his own the moment he steps through the doors of A&E but the time will come he can take back his position as head/lone  doc. She did right to tell him though.

Amelia blotted her copybook again, this time with David.  Leah, unwittingly, dropping her in it.
