Alf's still around, we saw him following his return from Reefton Lakes later in the same ep, and in the next ep. There's a run of four eps that he isn't in, but no mention of him going anywhere else.

I imagine Maz will have told him about Richie off-screen, she only found out herself in the ep that Alf last appeared in.

Justin is funny.  His dismay at Richie want to do voluntary work, despite Leah trying to keep things positive.  Also, the way he was trying to boost Richie when he thought Richie was applying for a paid job, "you're not going to need luck" because he wants him out the house ASAP.  I do like the friendship with David, Leah and Justin so I hope when David finds out, it won't be too problematic for them.

We've definitely seen Alf and Leah together since Richie moved in with her.

Yep, two scenes in the diner in the same ep Maz found out, but Richie wasn't mentioned (on-screen anyway).

Loved the Alf and John scene. I'm glad he's giving Richie a chance.

It sucks that Justin and Leah didn't tell David about Richie before he found out for himself. It was so sweet that Richie offered to leave and he reassured him it was okay though. Hope David can see where they're coming from.

Looking forward to seeing Sonny's brother show up.

I must have missed seeing Alf unless he was mentioned off screen and that call to John did make it seem he wasn't in the bay.  John telling Justin he was busy as there weren't enough volunteers to cover him.  As he said there was enough money in the funds to pay out for their kit and training them but it was getting volunteers which was the problem, you can't force people to volunteer though he did try and recruit Justin.😄  Anyways if it goes well with Richie's interview, he'll  have at least one.  Off piste a tad Richie did look very smart in his suit. He was very truthful in his interview, he did get John onside a bit though by buying him a  coffee and a muffin/cake but obviously couldn't afford to get one for himself, he would know some First Aid having been a cop and admitting  he had a lot of making up to do.  He's fit, health wise that is,  and keen.

At least Richie is trying to get  a paid job  but maybe volunteering will lead to just that. It wouldn't  be  Leah's wisest move to employ him at The Diner, she'd lose four customers at least - David, Jo, Lacey and Cash.  Justin is bottling it not telling David and dodging his calls, he's David's friend so, in my eyes, he should be the one to tell him.  Not as if David and Justin are close neighbours so Richie and David  won't be bumping into each other when they walk out out of their respective doors.

No-one sent Richie to see Cash, he chose to do it as Abby was faffing about doing it and decided to rip off the plaster and face the music.  Did cause quite   lot of mayhem with Eden accusing people of keeping things from her  because of her condition but as was said by her she isn't dead yet and doesn't want to be 'protected' so naturally ripped into those who had known.  We did see in last night's 'new' episode the rift between, Abby, Eden and Mac got resolved and they made up thanks to Melanie the woman Cash had been 'talking' to on the  website.  He asked her  to ring him and it appeared she was able to give him an unbiased perspective on how to solve the problem.  From what we saw a resolution was reached that whatever was going on/whatever their plans were Eden should be included giving her the choice to refuse or accept  or know about bad news.

🤞 for Levi's op and that it goes well.  He escaped the flak Eden took out on the others.

Going back a tad that was  a moving father/daughter talk between David and Lacey, her suggesting she could be ready to move on from Theo and her asking how he 'knew' Amelia was the 'one'.   I don't think you plan it as such, you just 'know'.  Just hope when she meets someone it won't be as disastrous  as it was with Hayden.

It wasn't a spoiler.  Please see:

The individual is fully aware that the episodes on My5 is the correct pace.  They just watch the episodes at their own pace and expect everyone else to post the most current episode after they've watched it.  I watch the episodes myself on My5 and have posted a handful of times not too long after the episode has been shown.  If it had been a spoiler, the admins would have tagged my posts appropriately.  You're good.

Not on screen, no, but they were left alone while Marilyn went to read Zane's letter so the opportunity is there for her to have told him off screen.

I think Leah's being a bit cowardly by putting all the emphasis on Justin to tell David. Maybe I've missed some nuance but it feels like they both made the decision to keep it secret and, as he said, she had the opportunity to tell David and chose to deflect. Not that his way of dealing with it is any better. He's in for a disappointment given Richie's "job interview" isn't for paid work at all. John's said there's one spot left on the course so in many ways Richie could be just what he needs, even without the coffee and pastry!

Given the way Eden blew up about Abigail confiding in Mackenzie instead of her, I wasn't sure how she'd react to Cash doing the same with Melanie but she took it in her stride. Which may have been the wrong way round: I'm a bit nervous about Cash giving out his number given people on the internet usually turn out to be evil (right, people on the internet?) but her advice worked out, so maybe this will be the exception.

So Alf is willing to give Richie a fair go straight off, but wasn’t with Zane?

I wish characters didn’t act differently based on the storyline. As much as I’d like to hope he’d learnt from Zane, it seems a bit too extreme a turnaround.
