I've just done today's "official/new/6:30pm" and whilst Tane wanted to go full caveman, at the Cop Shop, in the interview room, in front of David; Cash reminded him that was a bad idea and he pulled back when he was reminded of the cost to himself. Nobody could blame Tane but as I think most people agree it would make a mockery of the storyline for real life victims of DV.

Not for the first time Virgin made me put my PIN in to watch that; there are maybe some advantages to streaming only because ITV would have cut an episode full of references to drugs, references to hitting women and a guy threatening to kill said woman and her son to absolute ribbons mid-afternoon on the last day of the summer holidays.

As much as I love dark H&A, we need light & shade and from what I've read/heard from Australians who saw it two weeks ago, tomorrow's sausage sizzle at the Beach House (featured in the promo) is classically "light" H&A. David's going to make a play for Amelia right in front of the girls.

What can possibly go wrong?

Finally, we get a sense of geography of the region for the first time in a while when Harper switched off her tracking app.  We know the Cop Shop is in Yabbie Creek, whereas Summer Bay itself is right on the tip of a peninsula.

@Dan Fwas Harper actually where her phone said she was, if we assume the map was actually a real map?  Having just checked Palm Beach on Google Maps it looks fairly similar!  It looked like either Warriewood or Bilgola Plateau was standing in for Yabbie Creek.

Edit... Just gone back and photographed my TV (the links should open the pics)

Screenshot from Harper's phone

Screenshot of Palm Beach etc on Google Maps

So to answer my own question, Warriewood effectively is Yabbie Creek.

Pretty much on the edge of Warriewood and Mona Vale (and slap bang on an Airbnb I stayed in oddly enough). There are places in Mona Vale that have previously stood in for Yabbie Creek (shops, the big hospital they used in the aerials around 2010 etc.).

In terms of 'real-life' location for Harper, they keep placing her at the Bayside Diner Beach House rather than the pier apartment.

Though the app claimed that Beau and Harper were only 3km away from each other whilst she was in Summer Bay and he was in Yabbie Creek. Might as well just call it Summer Creek at this rate.

With Beaus outburst at the police station I really can’t see how he can deny anything really as I say he really isn’t the brightest

Im disappointed in Dana forgiving Sonny I thought they were pretty much done

Strange ending it feels like that should have been in next episode with David grinning like a Cheshire Cat at the mention of Amelia’s name

I'm sticking to what I know re episodes.

Beau really didn't do himself any favours by threatening Harper right in front of Cash and David and I guess the other hidden cops. Just bloody bad timing the lady cop taking Beau to the loo or maybe not.   Plus they have the photographs of Harper's face.   His 'buddie's' quickly turned on him and also owned up to other incidents he'd been involved with.  Did he go with his mates or stay in the bay?  It's going to take a while for her to get through this.

Much we'd have liked to see Beau to get his kicking, Cash was absolutely right to stop Tane, especially in the cop shop. Dane would have liked to take lumps out of herself, not just because of what he got Sonny into but hurting Harper, physically and mentally, which she has only just found out about.  Archie was never in danger as Beau didn't want to be anywhere  near him.

There did appear to be a jump with Sonny and Dana, one moment they were sitting in the Surf Club, the next time we saw them they were sitting outside by the boards.  There was also a scene with her and Remi where she was telling him about her parents and that she  had is a recovering addict herself.  Talking of which Sonny is going to need help weaning himself off the steroids.   Remi will be there for him, as will Eden, Cash is in a strange position because being a cop even if he is a friend he may have to stand back . I guess we'll find out what charges Sonny will face, can he be done for using drugs if they were for personal use?  He's going to cough for supplying but the fact he's given the cop Beau's name  as the supplier may go in his favour.  Dana loves Sonny enough to forgive him, but he is NEVER,NEVER to  lie her again.

Alfred lying to the cops, well David, when asked where Zane was.   What would Morag have said!

Cash did a decent job talking both Tane and Harper back from the edge when they were going to make daft decisions. Beau was really struggling to keep the mask in place here: Trying to go back to insisting he's the innocent party after he's snarled that he's going to kill Harper and track her and Archie down in a room full of police officers takes a certain amount of chutzpah...or delusion. It feels like it's been a while since we've seen a character as contemptible as him, so utterly smug and entitled and convinced he's untouchable even though in the final reckoning he's pretty small fry, with only Sonny and a couple of randoms from Rent-a-Thug on his pay roll, all of whom have now turned on him.

I was surprised Sonny was so ready to answer a summons from Tane given what he could have walked into but I guess Tane's found a bigger fish. While Sonny questioned Harper's behaviour since Beau's been around last week, I don't think he realised Beau had been violent towards her until he and Dana saw the bruised face.

Alf covered for Zane with David, although I suspect it was mostly because Marilyn wouldn't forgive him otherwise.

I believe the 6.30pm showings are currently eight episodes behind Oz, although it fluctuates as always. I think we are at the point where UK listings magazines are being published with details of the following week's episodes and they either haven't been shown in Oz or have only just been shown. I'm reminded of the late 90s when Inside Soap would mention a storyline that had only just aired in Oz and ITV would show it two weeks later!

@Red Ranger 1 8 for now; we briefly went down to just 7 episodes at one point last week.  In theory, we'll drop back by a single episode each week now.

Obviously the big change now is that tapes don't need to be flown halfway across the world; Channel 5 & RTÉ will be simply downloading a file. I notice the Channel 5 URL on the end caption has disappeared recently; I wonder if this makes it easier to send the same file out to both broadcasters?

Obviously Channel 5 are now allowed to repackage Seven's social content, right down to the words and emojis used in the post - so I wonder if there's a deal there for Seven to manage the content, and re-edit any promos aired in Australia with the "Weekdays 6:30" end board from 5 Star?

What a load of Pavlova that was It’s funny because that was in truth that was a date there with Justin Lacey and Jo being the gooseberries very amusing how David kept saying silly things

But even l was unsure what Amelia was applying there at the end

Marilyn you don’t remember anything that you’re pen pal has said to you over a year well done worse pen pal ever I was surprised they weren’t emailing each other

"Do you like meat?"

Someone had a lot of fun writing that episode, but it was one of the most awkward but cute things I've seen on the show for ages!

The way everyone bailed! 😂

I don't think prisoners have any access to the Internet. In the UK you can email a prisoner but it's printed out and hand delivered to the cell.

That is one advantage of being a local cop, you know how to talk to said locals so be able to persuade them NOT to do the wrong thing.

Sonny, I think, knew Beau was controlling Harper but as said didn't  know about the physical abuse.

I think we must have all misheard what Maz said about her writing to Zane, as it appeared it had  only been a year, he'd been inside for 10.  Marilyn said they only talked about general things, she didn't delve into why he was in there and the prison authorities read what a  prisoner and their correspondent put in their letters, same as phone calls, they monitor them.  Anyways any info he may have given her about where he was living etc. would be 10 years out of date.  I think Alf felt  a bit guilty about how he treated Zane when Maz read out that letter Zane had sent her.

Oh poor Leah being rushed off her feet as Maz wasn't there - well tough 💩, now you know how it was for Marilyn when you weren't there and  covered for you.

After all that drama with Tane, Harper, Sonny and Beau it was good to see some humour, we certainly saw a very different side to David, he was behaving like a tongue tied teenager around Amelia but he has been out of the dating game for a while.   Good that Lacey and Jo were more than happy to see  them together. Jo, genuinely had to go to work, but then Jo reminded Lacey, she had to go and help Mali, nudge, nude😉😉 How many people was David expecting, he'd cooked enough to feed an army. His "Come in" to Amelia.   May just me thinking this but mayhap his recent brush with death brought up how short life can be.
