Well, things all got a bit tense there. Zane came out of it well, although I can well understand Austin not being willing to forgive him. Even though Alf gave Marilyn a bit of a telling off, I was left thinking she'd have probably been a lot harsher on anyone else who'd caused trouble for Zane, and indeed Alf. At least she got to hear a few home truths from Austin about how nothing she or Zane does is going to make things better for Heidi and her family. That said, Marilyn had a bit of a point if she could have articulated it better, as David did later: Austin turning up there looking to hurt Zane helped no-one, least of all Heidi, and he's lucky it didn't do more harm to his family than it did. (No word on their parents, with it sounding like Austin is now Heidi's primary carer.) I must admit I'm losing track of who knows what: It took some time for me to remember that Alf does know the whole story of why Zane was in jail, I guess he just didn't know Heidi's name. I'm not sure David really needed to cancel his date, given that everything seemed resolved within five minutes of him calling Amelia!

Mackenzie sure made heavy weather of telling Levi what had happened: Mali was right that he really did need to know as fast as possible, she couldn't sit on it for days. I accept her point that it was comforting to have the embryos there as an option even if they had no plans to use them. Levi put Amelia on the spot a bit (she might have preferred the tax returns) but at least he was calm and accepting that she was telling him all she knew.

Well, nice to know that even with a small cast on deck, some of them are getting short shrift: We haven't seen Abigail in nearly a week and suddenly we're told in a couple of confused throwaway lines that she's moved back in with Cash and Eden to help look after Eden!

I find not much happens if you don’t watch it in blocks to be honest

Tonight was a nothing burger of an episode.  A token scene from Maz & Alf after the fracas at the house, which wasn't even in the recap (that was given over to the Flower-Newman misery fest) and a weird cliffhanger before Amelia and Lacey have it out on the balcony at Salt.

Again the promo gave us nothing on that and instead it was all given over to the misery fest.

It is like wading through treacle at the moment!

Though Alf knew what Zane had done no-one knew Heidi's or her families name until Zane had wrote to them so would be  a shock to him having this angry stranger in  his house   wanting to pummel Zane to a pulp.  Someone must have been looking after Heidi while Austin was in the bay.  It has been  ten years  since it happened, Heidi was nine, Austin seems about the same age as Zane so maybe she was a late addition to the family?

Maybe David thought it would take longer than it did, Zane not wanting to press charges shortened the process somewhat.

I missed hearing Abby had moved back in with Eden and Cash.

Cash was doing what Cash usually does when things are going pear shaped for him  by going running.

Even if Levi and Mac didn't take  up the option of using their spare embryos right now, they were there, now that choice has been taken away from them. Mali was, as usual, his wise self, coaxing Mac to go back and talk to Levi  about his earlier outburst to  the person at  the  Centre about could they let it happen and what caused it. I had the same thought though as he did.   it wouldn't be just his and Mac's embryos, there would be other couples who would be affected. There may be a case to be brought for negligence but he's acting on a knee jerk reaction right now.  How would he contact other couples, not the sort of thing you could put up on social media.

It does seem Lacey has cottoned on how Amelia and David feel  awkward when they bump into her which is very likely in small place like e bay.

I'm liking David's lighter side, him and Amelia  having breakfast in bed and him teasing her about her dress and suggesting she wears it to Salt to have lunch.

I guess the main purpose of a recap isn't to show the whole of the previous episode for anyone who's skipped it but to tell the audience what they need to know to watch this episode.I suspect the "ruckus" will be saved for an episode where Zane actually appears, rather than just Alf and Marilyn making a token one scene appearance to fulfill their episode quota.I thought Austin could easily pass for early 20s and not much older than Heidi would be.

Anyway, today's episode. I kind of agree with Mackenzie but I had a hard time dealing with her zen approach to things when we've just had months of her being the first person to look for someone to blame and then shout in their face.So it just came across as hypocritical by both her and the show, which doesn't usually send out the message "Suing people is wrong." Levi needed to turn it down a bit but for the most part his reaction seemed pretty normal for this show. I guess I should give Mackenzie credit for keeping quiet instead of getting angry at him, and to Mali for intervening without upsetting someone.

Well, things were kind of beyond awkward between David, Amelia and Lacey. I am taking Lacey at face value until given evidence otherwise and believing that she is genuine about wanting to make this whole thing work but I guess we'll see how her "girls' time" with Amelia will turn out!

Cash basically spent the whole episode running to take his mind off things. I don't think David would have been his first choice for a buddy chat, and I don't think David did either given how much persuading he needed from Amelia. Still, I guess Tane's away at the moment...

No, I get that.  The recap always concentrates on storylines that will be moved forward in that episode, but I would have expected it to be there as you had that token expositional dialogue between Alf and Maz.

A very odd, almost low key cliffhanger too on Monday/Tuesday's episode;  if it had been part of a Thursday triple I could understand but it wasn't; it aired on Tuesday 22nd (my birthday!) - the gap is starting to increase now as 6pm viewers are now exactly a fortnight behind.  That's still pretty close bearing in mind our originally-intended season finale last year aired on October 1 in Australia.

Incidentally in this week's Aussie episodes - and I think this doesn't count as a spoiler - Cash & Eden's wedding anniversary is part of the ongoing storyline with Eden's health crisis; the wedding episodes part of the build up to the UK finale that wasn't.  Which suggests the Australian pace is a week behind from where TPTB expected it to be?

I mean, it's very unlikely they'd have had any idea which episodes would be part of a Thursday triple and which wouldn't when they made them. Mid-block cliffhangers are often low key.

I think the recap  is just to remind us of what had happened previously and not the episode before and now 'they' are bringing us up to date.
Has been an u-turn with Mac with her not going into shut down or having a go at everyone.  It was a knee jerk reaction by Levi when he's normally the calm one. Could he have been  seeing it from a professional  point of view? One  thought did occur  to me, he and Mac can afford to try again but  there may have been couples out there who had put their live savings into having their embryos  frozen and now they have lost them. Mali can get his message across without revealing what has been said to him by another party, he's very good like that.

The 'girls' talk between Amelia and Lacey did go well, did like Lacey telling David   effectively to do one so she and Amelia could talk, maybe David  shouldn't feel too relieved though as now he'll have three women that could gang up on him. Be afraid,  David, be very afraid.😁  Amelia was vey open with Lacey which I think put Lacey's mind at rest.

David has lost a wife, though that was unpredicted so could understand how Cash is feeling.  Cash and Eden married on 30th September 2025, where has that year gone?,   and we  were two months behind back then but now it's  two weeks.

Yeah I think David is looking out for Cash because he knows how it feels too lose someone and there’s a real possibility Eden could die she won’t but you know the show’s trying to make us believe that

I think I'm right in saying that the 6.30pm showing is currently eleven episodes behind Oz, which will go on increasing as they continue getting Thursday triples.

It feels like we keep getting that one-sided recap of Amelia telling Lacey to lose the attitude and yet at the moment most of the attitude seems to be coming from her.I must admit I've lost a bit of sympathy for her over the last week or so: Lacey's the one that's having to compromise while Amelia gets what she wants and she can't even be gracious about it. But okay, hopefully that's the air clear and Lacey's accepted them.

Abigail put it best when she said everyone's worrying about the wrong thing.I'm not sure Eden really needed Jimmy and Debra putting pressure on her to have a serious conversation with Cash. I was hoping when Debra insisted on helping Cash with the washing up that she'd talk to him herself but we didn't follow them inside and stayed with Eden and Jimmy instead.

Abigail definitely deserve to be the one in the firing line when Eden blew.I was thinking that Richie returning would be the cliffhanger but then it just carried on!

Seeing as Eden is no longer taking her auto-immune meds she is  fine for Deb, Jimmy, Abby to be hugging her and having visitors.  Cash is avoiding the 'talk', even dragged Remi in to dodge it again. I thinking that maybe he's never had to before, he was only young when his mum died, his dad killed himself and he didn't get to say a proper goodbye to Flick as she was in a coma.  Eden is being realistic  by wanting the talk. Touching that Deb referred to Eden as her little girl but I guess that is how any caring parent would, still calling their children no matter what their age as their little girl/boy.

Richie did spring out of nowhere but Abby was pleased to see him and he did make her laugh. One person, well maybe  two, won't be laughing though.

Sonny and Remi started off OK but by the end of the 'new' episode it had gone downhill. Tane got a right shock when he walked into Salt and saw who was behind  the bar. I think we thought at the time it would come back on Mac hiring him.
