No, can’t be John. Although they were taking blood from everyone it was only people under 35 who were able to be added to the stem cell register. Obviously family (eg Jimmy and Deb) fall outside this restriction, although in Eden’s case that doesn’t help as they aren’t a match.

It would be unrealistic for a match to happen with someone in Summer Bay, far more likely that the register will actually find someone.

I'm playing catch up here so may miss some of the SL's.

Levi and Mac do live at the Farmhouse which is pretty big but unless you boot  Alf and Maz out they can't live at the Caravan Park house and it is Alf's home.

The fourth person maybe had been Cash's foster mum?🤔

Maz did misinterpret   John saying we should help people when she  contacted Austin,  Heidi's brother, Zane had accepted their reaction to his letter. It made it a lot worse.  How did he find her btw, she only left a voice mail? Zane was the bigger man by refusing to press charges against Austin.  I certainly didn't know any ex cons couldn't donate blood until they had been out for a year. Mali wasn't gossiping abut Zane he was just explaining to Remi  why he couldn't giver blood.

Eden was so moved to see how many people were there, not just hoping to help her but others with other conditions.

John and Alf are both too old to be on the register for bone cell donations.  JP being the age  he is would be reluctant to admit he has a phobia of needles, it's nothing to be ashamed of.  Mali was great with him, getting him talking and we all know how much John loves talking so the  nurse could take his blood.  Btw that was  a lot of 'nearly an armfuls' taken from all those people. 🤣 I'll guess we'll see if Remi and Sonny are out of the running due to their recent drug use, though theirs weren't introvnenous.

We know Amelia wouldn't  expect  to be a mum to Lacey or Jo, anyways they are both too old to think of her as that.  She should have got the hint second time around.  There does seem to be an uneasy truce between them.

Mali was a touch pushy getting Mac to tell Levi the bad news about their embryos.  He nearly told him but got Mac's signal that she  hadn't told him.   That is the problem sometimes when you decide not to tell someone bad news right now as they have other things on their mind, but then you put it off and put it off and too much time has gone by.

Justin and Leah, who both would have been willing donors,  it seems are spending  more time with Martha, no news when Roo  is coming back.

It was mentioned a while back that Marilyn was sociopathic.  I probably wouldn't go that far, but I do believe in certain situations she clearly lacks empathy.  Leah advised that Heidi's family should not be contacted and despite this going ahead and them saying they would never forgive Zane and David advising Marilyn to leave it shortly afterwards, she went ahead and contacted them directly.  She didn't care how this would affect Heidi or her family, all she cared about was making Zane feel better about herself.  I was almost cheering when Heidi's brother told Marilyn it wasn't his job to make Zane feel better and that she was deluded.

I don't agree with him following Marilyn back to her house, coming in uninvited, refusing to leave and waiting for Zane but TBH I don't blame him.  I'm glad there were no serious injuries, but it was a little bit irritating when Alf said throw the book at him (Despite the fact Alf himself was let off with a slap on the wrist quite recently), although admittedly he didn't have the full story and his opinion changed slightly when he realised Marilyn was the one who reached out to him.  Even Zane wasn't happy about Marilyn going behind his back.  I'm glad David seemed to be quite objective and understanding the position Heidi's brother was in and steered Zane towards not pressing chargets.  You would think this would be a wake-up call for Marilyn, but I don't think it will make too much difference.  I do actually struggle to understand her.  She was practically in tears worrying for Zane getting hurt.  They've been pen-pals for a year and he's stayed with her for a little while.  Almost trying to compensate where she failed previously.

More heartache for Mackenzie.  It seems as though she's destined not to be a mother, although at least she didn't deliberate for too long and told Levi about the embryos being destroyed quite quickly.

I don't think anything underlines how small the cast is and how much smaller it is with so many away at the moment as watching nearly a whole week in less than 24 hours and seeing cast lists in single digits and the same characters turning up because there's no-one else: Jo suddenly being on a course joins Alf, Leah, Justin and Tane all being away at the moment, along with long-term absentee Roo plus Harper and Dana having just left and not been replaced.

Eden's illness continues to be hard for everyone but I'm finding it compelling, if not exactly happy, viewing. There's still room for some lightness in there though: It's a shame John gets treated as a bit of a joke again but at least there was an attempt to give him a bit of dignity with Mali supporting him donating. Remi casts a bit of a forlorn figure on the outside after being the person closest to Eden for so long, although at least it sounds like he can visit her now (when she's next in an episode!) with the immunosuppression having ended.

I can understand Levi putting off his operation while there was a chance he could help Eden, but he should have rearranged it as soon as possible, especially given how reluctant Eden was for him to sacrifice his career for her.Instead, he's ended up with the worst of both worlds, not helping Eden and not regaining full use of his hand. To be honest, the embryos being lost feels like yesterday's news, we've moved on from Mackenzie and Levi trying for a baby and so have they.

Lacey did cross the line when she spoke to Amelia like that, although she managed to dial back from it a bit by having an honest talk with David and by the end of the week she's decided to stay out of it...again. Sonny gave Amelia some good advice about giving Lacey space so it's a shame that she ignored it and decided to have a go at Lacey back, especially when Lacey actually seemed to be trying to be polite to her.

I feel like we're seeing both the best and worst of Marilyn here.Wanting to help Zane when he's got no-one else is a good thing, but her inability to act like an adult and complete tunnel vision when it comes to anyone's viewpoint but her own is, ironically, sabotaging him. We saw hints of it with her attitude towards Leah, and now she's decided that harassing Zane's victim and her family because they're not reacting the way she wants them to is somehow analogous to Mali asking people to donate blood. She's just causing more pain for everyone involved because she's looking for an easy answer.

Yes I agree.  Jo has been written out because of Madison's wedding.  Ryan recently got married in England and Sophea flew over for it, so we're likely to see write outs for Sonny and Lacey at some point.

It also means the focus has almost been entirely on the Fowler siblings and their partners

Spoiler

and that's not about to change.

However, I'm finding it all just too depressing.  The Zane storyline isn't hitting the beats for me either.  It's the first time in a long time I've lost interest in what's going on.

I always have to remind myself that Jo and Lacey have the same mother and father, there is zero family resemblance - hey, maybe they don't! 🤔

I'm also waiting for Zane to turn into a Norman Bates character or some of X Files type event happening at the house, he seems to good to be true, at least Alf is being cautious.

Not all family members have to look alike, you can resemble your grandparents, Lace, I think, looks like her mum.

Marilyn can still act ditzy but then she goes into tunnel vision mode doing what she thinks is best.  Wonder if she was channelling Roo, it would be the sort of thing she'd do if she was there. Zane was right to be upset/angry with her, he'd accepted Heidi's family declaration they wouldn't forgive him.  I think he had to at least try, otherwise it would be forever on his mind.

It may be currently a smaller cast to be concentrating on, but some people prefer that as they think too many SL's are going on and can't keep up.

I don't think Amelia is the type to step back from confrontations, so I  can't see it being that easy with Lacey, despite their 'truce'.

Double edged sword with Eden and her autoimmune treatment helping in one way but not others like it affecting her  liver and kidney functions.

Ryan married in January this year in Australia but having another celebration in England.

Did I miss anything on Friday or can I just pick up with Monday?

I find not much happens if you don’t watch it in blocks to be honest
