If I remember correctly Brax didn't spend much time with Casey when he was a baby  so I guess what Tane said about Archie  did  hit a nerve.  

At least we were back in the  bay last night, Dana  came back and she and Harper had another row but made up again before Harper made that daft idea to leave town which I commented on.  Of course it looks suspicious her and Tane leaving at the same time.  Mac gave Cash a hard time for no reason, he's trying to find him before it's found out by David he hasn't checked in and left his monitor behind and his phone was  smashed up.  Btw how did he manage to ring him if said phone is dead?  

John's scheming worked, eventually, getting Sonny and Dana back together and she is now in on Remi's secret.  Hope we see more of Remi's op if that doesn't sound too bizarre as so much been made of it. It could be good for people who may be having to go through it. 

Not only no mention of where Roo is or when she's coming back but no update on Irene and how she's coping with her trip.

Mackenzie was unnecessarily unpleasant again. She thinks she's being a good friend to Tane but she's just made things worse for him. Cash is the one trying to keep him out of trouble, and bending the rules to do it. (I'm not sure how he thinks he can cover up the missing ankle monitor though!)

Well, Sonny and Dana talked: To be honest, it never felt like their break-up counted. I'm not really convinced that Sonny needed to tell Dana about Remi's tumour, she's a bit removed from it, but okay, that's done.

Given how much fuss was made about stopping from Remi riding a while back, it seemed to happen here with little more than a few cross words. Shame Remi didn't manage to tell his parents. Eden goes "I need to be in tomorrow's episode so I'm going to the hospital anyway." Anyway, few tense moments for Remi as he's woken up mid-surgery, he seemed grateful to have Levi there.

Don't ask me to explain the technical stuff, but I'm guessing that's one of many reasons why Tane didn't answer and Cash was put through to his voicemail.

Whilst it’s understandable that David was angry with Cash for covering up Tane’s abscondment, why did David choose to give him even more of a head start by waiting until the next day to have Cash issue an arrest warrant?

The monitor isn't missing, it's plugged in at Tane's place being charged up so it looked like he was there, not that I'm much of a techy either.  I'm guessing Jo has a key to Tane's seeing how she just seemed to walk in.  She didn't know he'd gone only when Cash told her but obviously he  didn't so she  would be totally innocent of knowing anything beforehand seeing  as who her dad is.  Another thing seeing as he went off so suddenly what's happening at the gym?  I'm supposing he wasn't daft enough to leave instructions as to who is meant to do what in his absence. 

Wouldn't  David have to get a judge or someone like that to issue a countrywide arrest warrant?  A local one may not be such a problem, but a countrywide one covers a lot of states.  

Understandably Remi had a bit of  a panic while being operated on while awake, anyone would,  but Dr. Swan soon brought him down back to earth, she certainly doesn't take any prisoners.   We didn't see if he was able to move any other parts of his body as in legs, feet but seeing as he was back in the ward all went OK.   Going off on a tandem here but I've seen this op before -  in re-runs of Star Trek.  McCoy operated on Spock, he had to put Spock's brain back in his head  while he was awake and doing the same functions and this was back in the 60's so pretty futuristic then.  That drilling into someone's head used to be called trepanning back in the olden days unless it's  still called that. 

I think Sonny felt he should explain to Dana why had to dash off to see Remi before he went to hospital. 

Bit of a thaw between Brax and Tane, bonding about their  boys plus  a few stern words from Ricky.  I wasn't misremembering about  Brax not having much to do with Casey when he  was Archie's age.  It does look a lovely place where they're filming.

Alf's episode count:Suspended. I guess they needed the money, since Tane, Cash and special guests Brax, Ricky and Casey all appeared in four episodes, although Leah, Marilyn, Justin and Abigail all only managed a solitary appearance on Wednesday (8678). (Abigail was credited for no appearance on 8679 and the others were on 8677 and 8680.)

It finally seems to be sinking in to people that Tane spending the rest of his life sitting on a front porch throwing rocks is the worst plan ever: How long's your sentence, Tane? I'm not sure that taking him on a boat trip is any sort of solution but at least it gets him out of the house. Nice callback to Ricky's past as a photographer (and they managed to squeeze in an Obligatory Bikini Scene for her). I feel like I should probably check dates to see if it was really ten months after Casey was born that Brax did his "I'm a free man" schtick. Then again, it doesn't feel that long since Archie was born either...

Jo made an interesting point: Obviously, we know that Tane did a runner willingly, but Cash doesn't, so what if he'd been abducted and Cash's delaying tactics were stopping him getting help? Jo's the third person to have just wandered into Tane's house since he's been gone, so I guess this is another example of no-one bothering to lock a door.

Remi had a few tense moments in surgery but Levi did what he was there for and kept him cool. Whilst he hasn't come round at the end of the episode, it's looking good so far.

Brax did clock it with  a little help from Ricky that Tane was going to be frustrated just sitting outside his hut.  he and Brax are similar characters and not the lounging around types. They have more in common than just having sons, both have  lost brothers.   Brax got Tane working in the 'new' H&A episode so is helping work off his pent up  energy.  Ricky also has a connection the  bay of course  which Tane found out  when he  and Ricky started talking.   

Jo, I'm thinking, would have had a key to Tane's and wouldn't Cash still have his?  Cash does know Tane so may think he did go  willingly  Who would abduct  Tane anyway and why? 

Scary isn't it how quick that 10 months have gone by.  Reverse situation for Brax and Tane, Brax missed out on Casey's early days and  Tane, if he ends up in nick will miss out on Arche's middle years.

Jo certainly was giving Mac what for but at that time Mac didn't know where Tane  was, theory being the less she knew the less she could say and say in all honestly if/when she's asked by the cops she doesn't know.    I'm still waiting for Levi to find out, he has been pretty tied up at present with Remi but when he does, how will he feel about it. Mac is/was aiding  and abetting a fugitive. 

OK I was wrong the other cop didn't drop Cash in it with David, he found out  himself by looking In Cash's drawer.   

I hope I don't give anything away Red, but Jo will keeping a very big secret from her dad.

Hmm I’m so sure about Brax being back to be honest like he said why should he stick his head out for Tane when he’s got the life of riding court bikes herding bulls having guys working for him What is this a new version of Clarksons Farm? It all feels quite out of place and doesn’t really fit with the show these days I don’t know it might get better Brax in a cowboy hat feels abit like Barbie and Ken 

I don’t know why they just couldn’t send Holden to prison having Lacey go to the hotel just because after she was told to stay with Mali and Leah was silly even for this show so he didn’t have too die So that’s the second dead person Lacey was close too when they died Theo and now Holden she’s going to go crazy sometime 

Im still not blown away by Sonny’s story he makes out it’s all doom and gloom being in a wheelchair I think it’s not always bad 

Remi I can’t comment on I can’t watch cancer stories these days

I know absolutely nothing about these things, but isn't being able to use mobile phones and the internet in remote locations kind of the point these days? It's not 2006 where mobile phones don't work if you're in a field.

Anyway, Mackenzie's more receptive to a grilling from Jo than she was from Cash, while Jo is now blatantly hiding information from David. Is she really planning to go and join Tane in hiding? That's pretty much giving David even more incentive to track them down. I had to roll my eyes at Brax's self-centred claim that his brothers can look after themselves: Right, that's how one of them got himself sent to jail by being a dumbass while Brax was pretending to be dead. They do at least have some sort of plan for Tane now but that's a long term house guest they've signed up. 

Only other thing on offer is Remi coming round. Well, everything seems to be working except his speech, which isn't the worst outcome, but being like that for the rest of his life is a scary prospect so hopefully Levi's right about it just being swelling that will go down. In a way, Eden's probably lucky that he was in no fit state to tell her off for playing his guitar!

I was going to say that about them being able to use mobile phones and the internet in remote places now being entirely possible nowadays.  Though saying that sometimes you can't get  a signal in wooded areas in town so they  still aren't perfect.

I'm confused.com I thought Brax had been cleared of what he went to jail for?  Seemingly not from what he and Ricky were telling Tane.  It would explain why Brax and Ricky were wary of Tane's Wanted Poster being posted on line.  Do the people who work for him know of his past or are they the run?  Have they changed their names?   

Jo played on Mac's sympathy by asking what would she do if Levi  was in the same position.  Cash was people, do sometimes, was in the right place at the right time  catching Jo giving Mac a hug.  Jo is an adult so doesn't have to explain herself or her actions to her dad, though seeing as he is top honcho at Yabbie Creek cop shop she would keep quiet what she is planning. 

I can see why she keeping her mouth shut, not just her implicated.

It is good news for Remi, well it  will be.
