pembie Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 I’m quite enjoying Tanes story but it does seem like it’s going to last until Christmas maybe come on abit quicker Mac annoys me how involved she gets herself though or is it because I find Mac annoying? John flooding his house was funny but quite pointless at the same time I skip Remi parts but it’s silly his riding his bike my friend who had epilepsy couldn’t drive for 2 years and they had to be two years without any fits Quote
Medea Fleecestealer Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 House gets broken into and yet David does nothing about getting better locks, an alarm system .... Some police officer he is. Quote
H&Alover Posted April 12 Report Posted April 12 (edited) That was a tad confusing as where Holden was hiding himself and did Lacy really take her phone into the bathroom? Before anyone thinks of saying it as to why didn't she lock the door to the bathroom, well she thought she was alone. Remi, quite naturally, is scared of what that op may do to him and he won't be him anymore. So glad Eden persuaded him to go back and talk to Dr. Swan and that she would go with him. You would need someone who isn't medical to ask questions you may not think of asking. Levi certainly does know people in high places. Dr. Swan certainly tells it as it is, doesn't pull her punches does she? An awake op is rare but in cases like Remi's it can and does work. Finding out he is sacred of not being able to play his guitar and I guess any other things we take for granted, like co-ordination prompted Dr. Swan to say to bring it along. Hope it doesn't sound morbid but it'd be fascinating to see it. That must have been quite spooky for you James hearing those very words. John, although he is an annoyance for Justin and Leah even if he did cook them that amazing lamb dish, was wonderful with Sonny, trying to get him to see the positive side and that things haven't finished for him. Sonny may have lost that feeling in his leg for the present but who's to say it won't come back again. Did like John's comment to Sonny about him not having come down in the last shower. We're still yet for the cops to investigate. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted April 13 Report Posted April 13 Dr. Swan is one of those eccentric professionals the show throws up every now and then, who probably work best as occasional but temporary characters. I did love the way that Remi and Eden didn't really know what to make of her, while Levi was trying really hard to be diplomatic and keep everyone happy.Levi got some bluntness of his own in at the end there, making it clear just how little time Remi's got if he chooses to ignore this. For all Sonny's bluster, John probably handled things as well as he could with them.John acknowledged that Sonny shouldn't give up hope while there's still a chance, but Sonny seems to be resigned to this being his life by the end. John deciding to do the job himself, again, and an even more complicated one this time, feels like a disaster waiting to happen. Justin might be stuck with him as a house guest for a bit longer... H&Alover Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 (edited) Dr. Swan even though obviously brilliant at her job would NOT fit in at ND's. She is a real high flyer. Levi did well to keep coaxing her to hang about a bit longer while Remi was still having doubts. I think that last dizzy spell he had outside Salt decided him. He took the words right out of my mouth when he told Sonny during their heart-to-heart he was worried about him not being him anymore. Plus, of course, it's not just bodily functions he may lose but mental ones, would he still have the same memories he has now or will some be lost. Not the big ones, but the small silly ones which are important to him. Like the times he was growing up with Sonny and Eden and the times they had, then when he was with Bree. Talking of whom I know what she would say, she'd encourage him to have the op. Wow that is going to be one long op, eight hours and he can't move even with the cage on his head to keep him still. What if he sneezes or coughs which you can't always control. John when he's not being daft about insisting he can handle the DIY job himself, which as we heard/saw didn't work out as he hoped, can be a real good guy like he is being with Sonny. Trying to get him to see there is a life to be had being in a wheelchair. Sonny for his part is putting his rehab on hold to be there for Remi. Edited April 15 by H&Alover Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 I think it was when he couldn't play the guitar that things really hit home for Remi.If he can't even do the things he enjoys doing for the little time he has left, then he's got nothing to lose.Sonny applied a bit of subtle pressure as well.I guess the frame will do all the hard work when it comes to sitting still, it's just the mental pressure and physical discomfort that are the issue.Telling his parents in person is probably smart. I'm not sure that Sonny pulling out of rehab is the best thing at all.He said that if there was something to do to make things better for him, then he'd do it.Well...this is it. It might take longer than eight hours but if he just gives up, then he's not getting any better, or even learning how to handle where he is now. It took one more disaster for John to get the hint but he got there in the end, with a bit of a shove from Justin given that no-one else was willing to do it. I'm kind of pleased that, even though he's got on people's nerves a bit, everyone's priority has been about helping him. (Well, maybe not Alf and Marilyn, whose priority seems to be standing on the sidelines sniggering.) Quote
c120701 Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 Sonny continues to be a real joy. He’s at his best when he’s supporting people (just not himself). He really should think about becoming a carer. When did Leah & Justin buy their house? Quote
H&Alover Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 Dr. Swan as we heard said to bring it along while he's having the op. I hope Sonny does go back to rehab once Remi has had his op and is, hopefully, doing well. I'm sure Remi would nag him to go back. One more person has found out about Remi's condition although accidentally. Rather poignant Sonny reading Remi's Will and want he wants done. I'm guessing he would have done this off screen sometime and very recently. He's been pretty practical. Marilyn has been there and done that with John and his DIY'ing so understandably not that confident about if he really has learnt his lesson. Alf was just being Alf with his digs at John. Anyways John has got a tradi in. I do feel he is really appreciative of Jason and Leah taking him in though. Bit of a backlash for Jason as Leah wants a new walk-in wardrobe, but as he said to her and Maz it won't end there, she'd be wanting the bedroom redecorated, then that would make the rest of the place look shabby so the whole place would have to be done. Then there would be new furniture and fittings. Things have moved on in tracing 'Uncle' Fred. Good lateral thinking there Cash with a nudge from Eden. Holden was also mentioned. Quote
