David, now he's let Cash back in on the case, has got a point, they do have to do things the right way as anything a bit off piste could be inadmissible in court. What is the equivalent of our CPS in Aus?  They may also say they can't accept the police's work on the case. Tane was supposed it be looking after Archie that night so that is why he was so stressed and in his eyes David has got it in for him so that is why I think he was making such  a big deal about his tag, whereas David would have done the same with anyone.

Yep Jo, Mac and Harper have made up and Harper will be getting a free drink at Salt.  Also, now, Tane has three ladies on his side.  Mac was enjoying herself bouncing Archie on her knee and managed to keep quiet about her being pregnant.

John is known for, putting it kindly, being careful with his money, but being more blunt known as a tightwad.  It turned out Leah found out from another source but she made Justin pay, but in  a good way.   Did prove she does have a sense of humour. 🤣 When Maz found out she did ask John why hadn't he learnt his lessons from before.

Cripes was it really six months since Remi lost his licence?  Eden was so right he can't drive it seeing as he's had those seizures, wouldn't his doctor have asked him if he drove, be it a  car or bike?   What is the equivalent of our DVLI in Aus, if he had an accident or caused one, he'd have his licence  taken off him again until his doctor gave him the OK.  Not only that there would be an insurance problem.  Would Eden tell Cash.

Yes, the idea of Remi riding his bike again is slightly worrying, even if he's having a good day. Eden and Cash's suggestions that he ask a doctor if he's well enough to drive fell on deaf ears. Cash said he couldn't extend Remi's suspension unless he committed an offence, although it's not clear whether riding the bike without declaring his seizures would be enough.

David did get his head down and do a decent job of investigating Cash's leads, although he got unnecessarily ratty when Cash asked a simple question about the checks he'd done on Kerrie. In a sense, they've both got blinkers on, but of course we know Cash is right.

Some humour with John as a house guest of Leah and Justin. Leah didn't mind at first but her assumption that it would only be for one night was quickly disproved. I wonder if part of John dragging his feet is that he is actually enjoying having other people around, so hopefully he doesn't wear out his welcome too much.

They always refer to the DPP, although our DPP runs the CPS so it's not quite a direct equivalent.

Thankfully Remi came to his senses himself because  as soon as he revved  his bike up, realised he was scared to drive it.  It was mentioned about him having an accident  not just injuring himself but someone else, his insurance would be invalid wouldn't it?

It would hardly have been an overnight stay anyway, John not having   a bathroom would have prevented him going home.   Could be right there Red, John being John would like having people around him, it must be lonely living on his own and he  is a people person.  He, apparently, is appreciating Justin and Leah letting him stay there as he was buying food and would be cooking them dinner.  They were taking advantage of his absence and using it to have some alone time. 😉😉

Nowt to do with owt but is that a 👻cul-de-sac as we never ever see anyone  else apart from John, Eden and Cash.

Cash and David can work together well when they have to, just have to agree they both have different views otherwise they'd be doing Tane no favours.

There were some developments in the Lacey/Holden and Remi/Sonny  SL's.   Won't say anything more in case they haven't been watched yet, but one was quite shocking and the other a pleasant surprise.

Mali's in full on "Nothing can possibly go wrong" mode again, repeatedly insisting that once the AVO's through it will all be over, as if Holden hasn't ignored every single warning he's been given so far. He probably has a point about Abby riling Holden up with inflammatory texts, since it's not like it does any good, but does he have to be so smug about it? Lacey blocking Holden's number is something that probably should have happened a long time ago. But yeah, two pieces of evidence that Holden really hasn't got the message, with the phone call and the break-in.

I'm not sure what the point was of Eden leaving Justin to keep an eye on Remi and Sonny without telling him why he's keeping an eye on them. As it turns out, something happens after he's gone, and he might have stayed if he'd known (except he's run out of episodes, so...). That's a really weird choice of cliffhanger: They've got Remi collapsing and Holden breaking into the beach house and they go with Sonny moving his leg? (Holden isn't credited for his one scene near the end, so I'm guessing this is another case of a cliffhanger being moved.)

Well, fair play to John for trying to be a good house guest. Given they had no idea of knowing when he'd left the note, I'm surprised Leah and Justin risked taking advantage of having the house to themselves. I was half-expecting him to suddenly walk back in.

Yes, it's a cul-de-sac, we've seen cars turn round at the end multiple times over the years. Tane lives across the road.

I thought the same on both counts.

Levi doing “Obs” on Sonny’s leg to test for movement was odd, Sonny didn’t tell him which leg he felt movement in and Levi only tested his right. What about his left?

Yet again, no-one clears The Beach House before leaving Lacey alone.

Sonny recognising The Beach House address as “The Langham’s Place” made me wonder when he’s had much to do with David or Jo, aside from the accident. Irene’s old place or Lacey’s place would’ve been less jarring.

Nothing to do with which characters you see, every time the road layout is shown it is clearly a cul de sac. How can you not have noticed (or pretended not to for some reason) this.

I know it's a cul-de-sac but as I said you never see any of the other neighbours apart from Cash and Eden.   The ghost part was meant to be  a joke.

Whenever you hear characters say things like that you know alarm 🔔 's will be ringing and  🚩 flags will be flying.  At least Cash was honest with Lacey even if he deflated her good mood somewhat.   It took Lacey long enough to block Holden but it still didn't stop him as he rang Salt and it just happened it was Abi who answered and used her name so he could have  a go at her, would he have just hung up if one of the other staff who just drift about in the background had answered?  Lacey did give Abi the OK to send that text to him.  I'm glad she and Mali made the right decision to tell Lacey and took her home, though of course we know Holden was hiding there.  Oh we actually saw her lock the back door. Not that helped any as he had broke into the front door.  Lacey did see that photo Holden moved and looked puzzled but just put it back on the shelf.

She was rightly spooked when he showed himself when she came out of the bathroom but the old Lacey came back and yelled at him to get out and hit him when he tried to take her phone off her and  called the cops.

We do see cars going round the   cul-de-sac but no people and doesn't Tane live round the back, same as Leah & Justin?  Just checked and Leah & Justin also live in Saxon Avenue same as John, Eden and Cash as does Tane so mea culpa.

I was thinking that that Leah and Justin should have shut  the door so they would have heard him coming back in.🤣

Didn't Sonny point to his right leg when he told Levi about moving it?  We know he didn't imagine it.  The damage to his spine was only bruised not broken so feeling could come back.  The paramedics couldn't force Remi to go with them as he was conscious and aware and signed their paperwork but Levi worked his magic and got him to go to the hospital and  get checked out.

Remi,  Sonny and Cash would know that  address as David's as  they had been at that BBQ and Sonny had  picked Irene from there when he took her to the airport.  The cops at the 000 call centre wouldn't know that.  Just  pure luck Cash was where he was and heard it on his radio.  Now Holden is in custody and hopefully will be banged up for breaching the AVO.   David will be very appreciative Cash acted so promptly.

Alf's episode count this week:Four.

Tane lives across the close but I don't think Leah and Justin live anywhere near there (last week it went to the other extreme with Justin claiming he needed a lift home from there). Leah did live in what's now Cash and Eden's place way way back before she married Vinnie.

Well, yeah, Cash's words of advice and Mali and Abigail rightly filling her in burst Lacey's bubble somewhat. At least Mali and Abby actually went in with Lacey this time rather than just leaving her at the door, they couldn't have anticipated Holden was under an invisibility cloak. (Seriously, where was he? Lacey goes into the bathroom, comes back out and he's standing in the living area that she just walked through. It's an odd direction to come from if he was in Jo's room and she's just been upstairs. Was he in one of the other upstairs rooms? Did he nip out the front and hide behind a bush?) Anyway, I'm glad that, unlike the last time Holden confronted her there, Lacey refused to be cowed and stood up to him, although having the phone in her hand to call the police may have helped. It led to Cash catching him so hopefully that's one thing done right.

Remi was definitely in a state of denial here, despite all Cash and Sonny's attempts to get him to see someone. In the end, a bit of persistence from them and Levi saw him convinced. Not good news unfortunately, which limits his options.Sonny tells Levi about feeling his leg but no progress there as yet.

Loving Dr. Swan already.  She could become an excellent permanent character with that "call it as I see it and I've no time for crap" attitude.

My grandmother, aged 89, was faced with the "have the op and you might die, don't have the op and you will definitely die" choice when she was still with us so this one hits different.  I saw a clip on Seven's socials when this went out on Oz (we saw a bit of it during Monday's promo) where she spells out his options in no uncertain terms and, yeah, that can be the reality with these things. 😢
