Red Ranger 1 Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 I'm not sure what exactly Mackenzie thought she was achieving by going to such extreme lengths for the sake of a five minute chat with Tane. It's not like either of them had anything vital to say to the other (Tane didn't even tell her about Kerrie, which was probably sensible), so it mostly felt like her feeling left out and wanting to be at the centre of things. Lacey isn't really close to Tane, she just kind of knows him vaguely through Jo. It was slightly amusing that John's main concern was that he'd missed the drugs raid. I think that's the same solicitor that represented Perri. I'm not sure that telling Tane to say nothing was the best tactic, given how easy it was for David to provoke him. To be fair to him, David does seem to be keeping an open mind. I think Sonny has now officially overtaken Louis in the annoying stakes. That might be hard on him, none of us knows how we'd react in this situation, but he just seems to be in a permanent sulk. If, as he said, he broke up with Dana to focus on his recovery, it doesn't seem to be working. Dana visiting didn't really make anything better but it's nice that she's got John to bounce off. Quote
c120701 Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Marilyn giving up the promotion was bizarre. The first bit of character development in years and it lasted all of five minutes. Quote
H&Alover Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 Mac does like to be in charge and she and Tane did have a kind of connection one time and they are friends. Jo is Lacey's sister and she was urging her to get back with Tane after Eddie left. Though of course she has other things on her mind, namely Holden. No-one was about when the cops swooped in, they can't all be at work. Solicitors tend to tell their clients to answer 'No comment'. I'm guessing he'll fill her in who he thinks is behind his drug bust, then there will be a second interview. and her asking David if they have followed up on Tane's suggestion/claim. Alf reappeared, but does he know about Tane but good to know he has Mali's back after his set to with Holden. Mali did shoot him down when Holden claimed it was discrimination Mali refusing to teach him. Mali, of course, can't stop Holden turning up at the Surf Club as it is a public place. Mali tried, without success, to warn Lacey about Holden. That was a lovely suggestion by John that Dana should talk to Lindsey, Jett's wife as she'd been there which she did and has got some good ideas. Sonny as we heard hasn't told his parents about his accident and his condition. It seems Remi is his second emergency contact if anything should happen seeing as Dana isn't to be contacted. Warren was right to get him to the hospital after his fall because he wouldn't know if he had any internal damage to his legs as he can't feel them. Remi has ducked out of his appointment to be there for Sonny who still isn't aware of his, Remi's, condition. I reckon once he does, he'll urge him to go. I guess for someone like Sonny who has been so independent and gadded about all over the world being in a wheelchair would hit you hard. It was a wonder Maz didn't pour a jug of cold water over Justin and Leah's heads, it was getting pretty steamy. Instead she just asked them to take it somewhere quiet, they were acting like a couple of teenagers apologies to any teenagers out there. We needed some light relief. Where do these counsellors get these odd expressions from - 'shared living space' for heavens sake. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 Well, Sonny might still be keeping Dana at arms length but at least he's not cut off human contact completely. Remi puts his own issues aside to go and support him and even manages to build a few bridges with Louis. And yes, John manages to give Dana some good advice that hopefully puts her on the right track. Mali really should have told Lacey he'd cancelled Holden's lessons and he's lucky she didn't kick up more of a fuss.I wondered why Holden was photographing that lesson list given he must know the times from when he was signed up until that last scene of Mali left with no students explained it. It was wondering what he'd done and if he'd maybe rung them up all up and badmouthed Mali...but then the promo tells us! If Leah and Justin were after some privacy, maybe the Diner and Salt weren't the best idea, although most people wouldn't anticipate John inviting himself to their romantic meal. Anyway, it seems to have inspired Justin to be romantic. Marilyn's qualifications for manager seemed to be "You're the only other main cast member that works here" and Leah sticking around made it somewhat redundant anyway, I'm sure she's happier leaving the organising to someone else. CaptainHulk Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 Richie, sorry, Holden stop acting the prick and get back to Erinsborough! I just hope this doesn't end up with Lacey nailed to a cross in a wedding dress... I put nothing past soaps anymore Leah and Justin... It's gonna worse before better, isn't it? 20 hours ago, H&Alover said: It was a wonder Maz didn't pour a jug of cold water over Justin and Leah's heads, it was getting pretty steamy. That'd be more of a 1989 Celia or 2002 Colleen thing Quote
H&Alover Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 Holden having been Richie in another life wouldn't mean a lot to those of us who didn't watch Neighbours. Guess the actor who plays him is good at being a bad guy, hope he doesn't get too typecast. Talking of whom not knocking anyone but did Mali's students - all of them - just merrily accept a text from an unknown number and take it as the truth? Surely one of them would have contacted Mali and ask him the reason why or had Holden given them a reason? But as some of us have seen he's dropped himself in it, which could be a bad move on Lacey's part, hope she apologies to Mali she may need him in her corner. We should know John by now, if he's not being a great shoulder to cry on, he can be where you don't want him such as such interrupting your romantic meal. Well Justin and Leah did find somewhere a lot more private, but that seems to have come to a standstill because of expense it appears. I did applaud Justin blowing out the candle when they left - not just it would be wasting the candle but the safety issue. Remi got Sonny open up to him but he should take his own advice and tell more people about his condition. He was lucky he was able to fob off Mali and Abi when he collapsed o the beach. Quote

Red Ranger 1 Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 I wasn't sure about Lacey here. It felt like she was clocking there was something dodgy about Holden, so I'm not sure how sincere she was about defending him to Mali. But he soon gave himself away and she sent him packing. It's a shame it put a crimp on Mali's day with Abby, since she seemed excited about finally having the use of both arms. Remi made it to his first session then. Eden meant well, and it was good that he had someone with her, but she probably should have learned not to push him on moving in. Levi sending her away seemed a bit extreme, but I guess she needs to be somewhere else next episode! Leah and Justin's day didn't go as badly as I thought when I read the spoilers. Leah could have phrased things a bit better but Justin seemed more disappointed than annoyed that she filed his romantic afternoon under "fun but not really needed". Quote
James Martin Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 I'm a few days behind - currently on Wednesday's episode. That Motel is doing a brisk old trade. Also, Justin and Leah's sex games are so cringe. Quote
