Even then, I don't think sending Lacey to pick up something work-related is unreasonable.

Absolutely, but why didn’t she just pick it up and go? There was no reason to get involved with Abigail at all.

I guess I can understand that. Yeah, she could have sneaked round to the shed and got it, but it's still someone's home so I can understand why she felt the need to tell the occupants she was there.

Maybe Leah didn't want to go into it too deeply and at the time Lacey wasn't Theo's girlfriend, she was still Gage's 'woman/girl'.

I think/hope Brax meant what he said o Case, he's got a completely different life style in WA.  Casey has had a happy family life unlike Brax's.  I missed Brax calling John Palmer and when did he get so pally with Alf?

I don't blame Remi being so upset/annoyed seeing Eden read his private journal, how would she have reacted?  If it helps him get all his frustrations out it's a good thing in a way.

But on the plus side she did get Dana to see she was being overcrowding Sonny too much.   There were quite a  few scenes  of two people gong off to talk about something.

Mali did tell Lacey he saw Mac's place as home and I could see why he wanted to give Abby 'space' which is why he asked Lacey to go and pick up the board, thinking perhaps Abby would think he's making an excuse to be there, but then of course she had to have that  conversation with her, putting her in an awkward position.  He shouldn't have snapped at Lacey but he did apologise.

Things certainly moved on  apace with Cash, Tane, David and Jo.

Yes, exactly. Leah left out the fact that Theo was "getting close" to someone else's girlfriend.

Anyway, today. Alf's back and almost-but-not-quite apologised to John. I suspect he still remembers Brax donating money to help young Pippa which would probably explain why he's so friendly towards him. John is no doubt well-intentioned in wanting to help Justin but in the circumstances it might be an idea for him to take a step back.

Eden sort of extends an olive branch to Remi, hopefully he'll take her writing a song about him well! Mali had a bit more luck clearing the air with Lacey, even if he doesn't seem keen on having a family dinner with David!

Talking of which, David seems to be eating a small portion of humble pie or possibly just pretending he was on Tane's side all along with regards trying to get him out of jail, but the wheels of justice continue to turn slowly. Jo might be building up her falling out with Tane into more than it was but hopefully it'll teach her to not be so fickle.

I suppose I should give Brax points for being at least partly honest with Casey, but we've seen him make promises to change time and time again and they never stick. I think all Ricky and Casey's arrival did was stop Brax doing even more damage to Sterlo, since he had him on the ground and was repeatedly punching him. Has Brax always called John "Palmer" or is that something he's picked up from Alf by long distance osmosis?

I think he was still in the wider “Palmer” phase when Brax arrived, wasn’t he?

I can’t remember if I posted this or not, but I liked Roo basically highlighting the divide in the Bay during the Braxton era the other day when she mentioned that she didn’t remember Brax & Ricky stepping foot in the Diner all that much when they lived there.

I presume Brax & Ricky will owe a huge amount of back taxes or something from the period they were living in plain sight off the grid with their own names.

Oops misunderstood about who's girlfriend Lacey was.

That would certainly explain Alf's friendly attitude towards Brax.  I guess John was trying to make up to Justin  for it being down to him the garage had to close.

Bit of  a quick exit for Brax, Ricky and Casey, he took Alf's advice about it's not always where you think of as home it's where you feel your and your family will feel safe which I don't think Brax or more likely Ricky will if they stay in the bay with Mangrove River being so close.  WA is Casey's home.

It's not been said but wouldn't the Braxton's been living under another name in WA?  Another thing that's been brushed under the carpet is  them just taking Casey out of school to travel across the other side of the country, did they give the school any explanation for it?

Not the best time for Lace asking Mali to come for dinner seeing how stressed Jo is, he is with friends with Tane after all.  But saying that has he visited him?

The legal wheels can grind very slowly as we, David, Cash and Jo found out.  All those saying on other sites that it was down to David dragging his heels were wrong. That would have taught Cash not to make rash promises.

Alf's episode count this week:Two. Ricky and Casey were in four again and Brax was in all five.

It's hard to shake the feeling that Brax's return has just been a slow motion version of his last return. He turns up, he gets let off the hook for his crimes as usual, he gets an undeserved sunset exit with Ricky and Casey despite plenty of evidence that he'll never change. I'm not sure that "It'll stop Casey asking awkward questions" was the best reason for going, but Ricky had a bit of a point buried in there: Brax thought he could be a part of that world while simultaneously keeping his brother away from it, and it ended about as well as you'd expect. Will he be able to keep his son from the same fate? I'm not sure that being as far away from people as possible is the best solution, but perhaps if Ricky's determined to have Brax in their lives, it's the only one.

Meanwhile, Tane inevitably gets into trouble in prison with that guy that's been given everyone evils since, um, four episodes previous. It's easy sitting here to say how he could have handled it better, he probably thought direct confrontation would work. If Knox doesn't want to be stuck in prison for good, he's going the wrong way about it.

It's a shame that episode counts mean we don't get a conversation between Harper and Dana, since it feels like Dana owes an apology after the last time we saw them together. Archie seems to be interacting more now! Did Justin ever get his website up? Nice that he gave John the credit anyway.

I don't think it had quite sunk in that Alf's eighty now: Makes him more of a great-grandfather figure to Archie!

Maybe the fact he does live the other side of the country has changed him, he did get dragged back into it when Dean rang him asking him to help  another innocent person which he could relate to.  WA is as far as you could get from Mangrove River where the  RB's rule.  I've said before Casey has had a very different childhood from Brax, Heath and Casey, they never knew security whereas being in the RB's did. As you yourself said Red Alf must have forgive him for his past misdeeds as he donated money to Pippa's appeal so even he thought there was good in Brax.

Tane was being Tane pitching in to help Peterson, the punching he could take, he's a fit healthy guy after all but it's the rest that has done the damage.  Some people do make an impression right away and Knox was meant  to. Not giving too much away but Levi did the right thing by 'throwing' XX out.  Everything that happened Friday did turn  Archie's  celebrations on it's head. Dana was rather caught up in things. 😉  David got unnecessary flak from a certain person.

Alf doesn't look his age but then you can  get men and women half his age who look older.
