Still need signal towers and I seriously doubt there are any in the areas where the show's been filmed for this storyline.

There's literally a tower sited at the station where it was filmed (the one with the signal highlighted), and ones near other places they filmed.

Even if there wasn't, there's also satellite options for rural areas.

Yes, I was going to say I thought it was all covered by satellites now.

Well, things are chugging along and it feels no-one involved has any sort of a clear plan, to Tane suddenly realising that he's run off to the other end of the country and given up all his friends and family, to Cash and Jo deciding to fly to WA and hope for the best when they get there. Mackenzie continues to be more than a little objectionable although it is amusing seeing her face every time she realises that no-one's patting her on the back and telling her she did a good job, and instead they think this is the worst possible thing that could happen. Brax did claim that he and Ricky weren't going on the run when he came back for her, but then this is Brax we're talking about and he did gloss over all the crimes he actually did commit, so we'll see how it turns out.

I did like John being supportive of Sonny and Dana's reconciliation in his own John way. It felt like Dr Swan had a rather cavalier attitude towards Remi: Okay, she's done her bit, but if she's not going to stick around and see if his aphasia clears up, maybe she shouldn't shoo out the staff who are? At least Sonny laughing about it was probably a good tonic.

Starlink exists, and yes you can install it domestically.

Levi & Abby drifting further to the rocks.

Finally, some respite from the WA stunt today thank goodness before everyone uses their episodes up.  But it's something everyone involved seemed to enjoy, Madison posted a lovely BTS video of her time there when this aired in Oz five weeks or so ago. I'm assuming the WA tourist board have chipped in hence they're on the credits (although weren't tonight, obviously) - the British equivalent didn't get a credit when they filmed in London in 2014. I assume crew at 7 Perth would be involved in technically covering the shoot rather than flying crew and kit across from 7 Sydney?  I know on the London shoot they hired Tiger Aspect (more famous for making Mr. Bean!) to handle that side of things as Channel 5 don't make their own shows.

Roo is written back in when Ray's on a break. Riiiight.

Great they're making a bit more use of Dr. Swan. Such a shame I've been told she's only a guestie because she is by far and away the best character they've introduced for a long, long time.

And can we please just let Mac go full term now? I struggle with the character but Emily plays her well.

Not sure "Body count grows" is a great headline, sounds more something you'd get from Bonnie Blue 😂

Finally, I appreciate the way they've gone down the "fighting for us" route with Dana rather than her just being The Dutiful Girlfriend.

And since I haven't posted as I've fallen behind, the operation was anxiety inducing asf 🫪

The Young Doctors would probably be a lot more grittier if it was rebooted today!

I feel like they’ve definitely stepped into the Australian tourist board promotion that Neighbours had been leaning into, probably more so now Home and Away is the last one standing as Australia’s biggest export, or at least since Neighbours left Channel 5.

I’m not sure about them shoehorning returns into each of them, particularly Alf as going fishing with Fisher is unlikely to happen (despite likely being more entertaining than Brax), but it’s always going to be the younger cast over the oldies who actually have a connection with them. Dean & Ziggy at least made sense.

It did seem there were a couple of  "I don't know what I'm really doing"  episodes.  Cash suddenly deciding to go off and bring back Tane so he doesn't miss his court appearance.  Then Jo deciding to join Tane hiding out at Brax's, if she can find him, even if it means her leaving everyone and everything behind.

This isn't the first time Tane has had dealings with the RB's btw.  Back in 2021  Heath was called in by Dean when Ari, his former cellmate  and Tane were being threatened by  a rival gang.  I think it was do with the drugs stashed in the van Tane bought.  Anyways Tane met Heath after and thanked him but I'm now wondering does he know Brax is his brother?  Brax only said he has two brothers but no names were mentioned.

Nowt to do with owt  but It sounded odd to my ears when Mac, Jo and Cash all called the place they were going to as Ex-mouth, whereas us Brits call it Ex-muth.

I suppose Dr. Swan has done her bit, the surgery,  so that is why she's leaving, the therapy part of it would be down to those who know that side of it.  She is a neuro surgeon don't you know not a therapist.  But not before Dana  managed to persuade her to to visit Sonny at home  and she gave him more or less the same quote she gave Remi.  If he does go to the therapy in the city they may be able to  help but if he doesn't they can't. Who knew Dana could be that persuasive especially on someone as high up as Dr. Swan.  Dana's never been a 'dutiful' girlfriend, she's been batting for Sonny ever since his accident.  Once again he was doubting whether he had moved his foot but we know he did.

A bit of mormality last night, even if was after more drama between Levi and Mac, seeing the 12 week baby scan.  Their excitement at now being able to tell people fell rather flat as Mali and Abigail had their own drama going on.  Leah, for once, gave good advice to Abby and told her to speak to Lacey first before going to the papers which she ignored. now it's backfired really badly.

Do we know where Roo has been?  I know she said she called in on Cohen and his dad  and that he's doing very well.

Mali did eventually have a point: Abigail shouldn't have gone to a journalist without getting more consent from Lacey than vague nods. That said, Mali was pecking at her all episode without any cause, having apparently appointed himself Lacey's personal rottweiler. While I think Abigail is doing it to help Lacey (and if Mali thinks otherwise, he really doesn't know her at all), I also feel like there was a certain kneejerk element to her going to a journalist, that she was doing it at least partly to make a point to Mali. And the result is a typical backfire as soap journalists never print what you want them to: Lacey was hailed as a hero when she was ashamed of what she'd done, now she gets branded a crazed killer when she was the victim.

Given it sees extremely unlikely that Mackenzie will face any legal punishment for her role in Tane turning fugitive, Levi being annoyed with her was about the only consequence she was going to get, and while I didn't particularly want him to miss the scan, I do think things went on too long.

I found Dana a bit pushy but perhaps she needed to be: Sonny quitting rehab was a ridiculous decision but hey, now he gets to trade up for a top neurosurgeon! I did love John simultaneously fawning over her and being a bit terrified. I must admit I'd forgotten about Swan referring Remi to a therapist, which is fair enough I guess.

It does feel a bit odd for Roo to make her first appearance of the year when they clearly don't have anything for her to do, so she's just hanging around the Diner and Salt. Cohen's going to school? Well that's more than he seemed to do when he was here!

Mali and Abby can both as stubborn as each other, she's probably snapping at him because she knows he was right.  Costal News  do have a rep for printing sensationalist  headlines just to sell the paper but Leah did say they had printed Abby's concerns about how the police/authorities treated women who made complaints like Lacey's and how the accused like Holden were allowed out on bail. It also has the knock on effect that the DPP could change their mind about Lacey not going on trial. It did imply that Lacey was a double killer. Give Abby  her due, she did confess to Lacey and David.

Nowt to do with owt, but Abby's hair is getting darker.

It wasn't that long ago was it that Leah took them to task and went storming into their offices and had to be escorted out?

To be fair, Dr. Swan is pretty scary. 😁

More bonding between Tane and Brax.

Cohen was due to go to school, even got a uniform but things got in the way, dad turning up and who would get custody.

David now has other problems on his mind.
