James Martin Posted July 1 Report Posted July 1 Virgin users, it's now up - but incorrectly labeled as S39 E107. You're looking for the synopsis of "Richie gets it wrong. Cash struggles with Eden's decision. Crime escalates in Summer Bay." Quickly checked and the scene with Lacey and Justin's van from last night's promo is in it. Quote
c120701 Posted July 1 Report Posted July 1 Cash telling Ritchie that he needs to earn his place, which is why we have this sudden string of Police stories. Quote
H&Alover Posted July 2 Report Posted July 2 Not wanting to gloat but I'm not having any problem recording it at 6.30pm. As we saw in the 'new' episode Eden didn't suggest/tell Cash he should have the snip. it is still pretty raw for Mac and some women would say what she did as would some men for that matter. Tad awks for Abby and Eden when they showed up, nothing said by Mac or Levi but they got the vibes something was going on. They have also isolated themselves while they work it out. Did like John's suggestion Alf join the Neighbouhood Watch Scheme which he scoffed at. Would Alf not having any close neighbours preclude him? it was that stumble Sonny had when he stood up at that pier where he was with Dana that made him to make that very unwise decision. My be misjudging him but I think he's tried weed or some kind of dope in his wild past but no way was he an addict, just recreational. It certainly moved up a notch or two in the 'new' episode cop wise. David was a tad harsh with Richie, it was his - Richie's - oppo who told him to go. There really aren't that many cops about at Yabbie Creek. Would that van really be left so close location wise? I get cops do re-interview victims of crime but Richie went OTT. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted July 2 Report Posted July 2 It worked fine for me watching live at 6pm too. Yes, fair play to Eden, she did decide it should be her having the necessary body alterations, not Cash. He tried to be supportive but he's clearly disappointed. I should probably watch again to catch the garbled explanation for how Remi and Eden's song went from being posted on social media to being played on the radio. Alf giving Justin a glare for criticising David was a bit hypocritical given that he was throwing a lot more of a strop for a lot less reason not so long ago. At least Justin's actually the victim of a crime, while Alf just acted as though he was. Richie jumps to the wrong conclusion again but at least Abigail was appreciative: Guess that's the end of the "We haven't slept together" thing then! Richie shows good instincts in spotting the van, shame it didn't lead to much. I'll wait until we see David's response in context in the next episode rather than snippets in a promo before passing judgement but it was actually Lacey who told him to go after the thief. Would it have been okay if he'd caught him? Quote
H&Alover Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 (edited) It must disappoint all those who HAVE to watch it early to get ahead of the rest of us. It was a bombshell for Eden just to drop that on Cash, hope they will have a more in depth talk about it. I think someone else picked up Remi and Eden's song and put it on the radio, people did seem to like it. That is the Alf we all know and sometimes love, one rule for him and another for others. There was more to come in the new episode but I'm saying nuffin. I did get that wrong, it was as you said Red it was Lacey urging Richie to go catch them cop daughter's instinct If Richie had waited for his oppo to go with him he definitely would have lost him. Lacey was very handy later on too. I think David sees something of his younger self in Richie going by the little anecdote he told him about in the 'new' episode. It seemed Cash was off duty when the troops gathered and went looking the van and later. Not wanting to be picky but neither Richie or his oppo thought to check it was Justin's van by checking the reg no./number plate. A lot people on H&A's fb page banging on about Richie being allowed a gun because he's only a rookie but in Aus it is part of a cops standard equipment along with a taser and expandable batons. Some funny and cringy scenes with Jo and Tane. I said Harper should have warned her about that drunken message she thought she sent to Tane. Some nice scenes between Harper and Tane too. pembie Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 Sonny for someone who was paralysed and wheelchair bound and now can walk about with crutches I think he’s doing well enough so him working out at gym and over doing it story is very stupid I think for me being disabled that’s never going to happen So I don’t know why Sonny is so concerned about his process Quote

Medea Fleecestealer Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 Harper: Why don't you take Archie to meet your family Tane? Tane: That's a good idea. I'll book flights and leave tomorrow. Seems both of them (and the writers ) have forgotten that Archie doesn't have a passport so isn't going to be able to leave the country. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 Alf's episode count this week:Five! Only Justin, Tane, Eden and David managed three, with Marilyn only in one. Having seen it in context, I agree David was harsh on Richie, although he may be wishing he was a bit harsher round about now. The only thing I'd say Richie did wrong was not call for assistance. Otherwise, he had an opportunity to catch the suspect and tried to take it, and the other officer was there to look after Lacey and "secure the crime scene" (not that he seemed to, given he was back at the station a few minutes later). But yeah, what the heck was Richie playing at there? Spoilers claimed David stepped in front of him as he fired but he had plenty of time to see he didn't have a clear line of sight yet fired anyway. I can't say I'm that bothered about David though, I'm more concerned that they don't let that bloke (named Dale in the credits) escape with or without Justin's van in the meantime. So, yes, despite everyone acting as though she was wonderful, Harper tricking Jo didn't really do her any good. Part of me thinks she should get over Tane, part of me thinks that lets him off the hook when he'd rather behave like a selfish manchild and pretend she doesn't exist now she's inconvenient: His blanking her at the start was particularly jerkass behaviour. Oh well, I guess he's out of town for now which would make ignoring what he's done easier. (As with his self-serving half-truths about Felicity, he's obviously not willing to admit that he only stayed friends with Harper when they broke up because there was something in it for him.) At least Lacey gave him some much-deserved attitude. The show continues to tease me by mentioning Nikau without mentioning Bella. I'm fully expecting Tane to suddenly mention her when he gets back, but for now I can dream that she's out of there. Quote

It's not a case of wanting to get ahead. Whilst you obviously find the picture quality on 5 Star tolerable, for me I prefer to watch the show in HD, and the only way to do that is via streaming. Don't blame me, blame Ben Frow and the ridiculous decision to take the show off for a phone-in slopfest that's already been axed. The show is available to watch from 6am. Between 1989 and 2000 and again from 2008 to 2025 the show premièred at lunchtime. In Ireland it still does. Now I happen to often be busy around 6am so I will tend to watch it in the afternoon when I've a spare half hour. It's not about getting ahead, it's about wanting to watch the show in HD, which is how Seven Productions shoot it in the first place and watching at a convenient time. Since the broadcast pattern changed as far as I'm aware we are allowed to discuss an episode from 6am, not after the linear 5 Star airing concludes at 7pm. If I've got that wrong I apologise. For now I'm going to bed because, to coin a phrase, I've had a gutful. Quote
