Who in the Home And Away team has the power to kill off a main character instead of write them out so they have the option of returning them in the future? From what I read, Nicolle decided she wanted to move on and spend more time with her boys so I guess the storyliners decided to come up with a way to cement Bobby's legacy with a real heart punch. Maybe BTTB could put out feelers to the woman herself about her 1995 return. 3 Quote
cymbaline Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 As far as I know, Nicolle hadn't had her children when she left. She was expecting a baby when she returned for the fridge episodes. They didn't really bring main characters back in the era when Nicolle left, so perhaps the thinking was "When you're gone, you're gone". Hindsight, of course, suggests it wasn't the cleverest of moves. We saw afterwards how they successfully brought Steven and Marilyn back into the main cast, and gave returning characters like Haydn and Damien good guest stories. Nicolle might also have wanted to leave Bobby far behind, in the hope that she might become a working actor. Quote
