I'm beginning to wish Leah had gone to Cyprus and taken Justin with her, they are a cringe worthy couple with their on-off relationship, groan. And does Justin actually still work at the garage it's never mentioned ? Another irritation is Abbi, she is a pain with Eden and clearly the centre of her own princess universe. However, looking forward to Harpers mother getting her comeuppance!

I think Lacey had some doubts about Holden but didn't want to admit it, but it all got clarified when he dropped himself in it.  I hope she apologises to Mali.  Though now she's told him to do one I can't see it going well.  In his defence Holden  was right Salt is a public place so Mali couldn't order him out.

Eden's done well by keeping Remi's condition a secret, guess it's only a select few who know, but Abi knows something isn't right.

Eden was going in heavy with her fussing over Remi after he had his first session, that did look pretty scary having that mask on your face, I'm reckoning TPTB took advice from the right people on how it was dealt with.  Levi was in doctor mode there, advising Eden not to push Remi.  I know she's worried and they have been friends for such a long time, but he'll turn to her when he feels he needs her help.

Oh Levi said that dreaded word that it was quiet in ED.

Cash is a cop and working on Tane's case so there would be a conflict of interest, plus David now knows about what else Cash has done🤐🤫🙊, which he would of course, Eden doesn't know either.

Eden and Abi who has now got the use of both arms, did a good job at Tane's.  Loved his comment when he walked in. 😁 He got  a lovely surprise too.

I may be swimming against the tide,  but I'm finding Leah and Justin's  frolicking funny which after all the drama has lightened things up.   Maz and Leah ganging up and coercing Alf into delivering that message to Justin was a neat move.  I hope he closed that door behind him. 😉

Why are L & J cringe, does that mean married couples can't have any fun? They'll calm down.

Holden is a rubbish stalker.  "Show me your phone" - he can't.  He's not even been smart and used a burner phone, let alone deleted the sent messages and the picture from his camera roll!

In any case, wouldn't they have all got the text from the same number?  All they then have to do is ask one of the students for it, dial it and find Holden on the other end.

Alf's episode count this week:Three.

It is hard to have any sympathy with David's self-righteous attitude: He's happy to investigate cases where he has a clear conflict of interests, including as the senior officer, but throws a strop if Cash does it, especially if he disagrees with him. The only thing Cash did wrong was letting Mackenzie think she's more important than she is and pointlessly breaking the rules and his orders to let her talk to Tane about nothing in particular. Otherwise, he's managing to do his job while supporting Tane in his own time.

Even though they can be a bit repetitive at times, I am relieved that Leah and Justin's misunderstanding didn't last long and they're soon back on the same page. A bit disappointing that Leah's surprise for Justin basically consisted of repeating his surprise to her with a few tweaks, but I guess they wanted to make use of the motel set. Alf being a grumpy old man raised a bit of a smile.

I actually rather liked Abby here too. She was a bit of a dog with a bone at times but I think most people would be. She eventually worked out enough and then decided to back off and just support Eden. I rolled my eyes a bit at her bringing up the compatibility test again (no-one cares!) but at least it was done at least partly as a distraction.

I was wondering about Mali's class and if any of them thought to ask another member to ask if they got an odd message?  But maybe they don't know each other that well.🤔

I know David is being very pedantic but any Sarge  would do what he has, one of his investigating officers  is a friend/brother-in-law with the main suspect and has now posted his bail so it is a conflict of interest.   Cash - would look at the case not as dispassionately as David and other officers would.  He can do what he likes in his own time which he has done before, let's not forget, tracking down Kerrie and before that  checking up on Tim, Eden's new boyfriend and look how that ended up. He has now asked Harper if she can remember anyone from back when she was living with Kerrie and Warwick.  It was that other cop that dobbed  Cash into David that Cash had  sneaked in Mac and Harper to see Tane on the QT.

We did find out who's side Jo is on. Yes, she's an adult but David is still a dad and she's his child, always will be.  Justin opened up to David about how he reacted when he thought Ava was in danger and attacked the guy he  thought had kidnapped her.

Don't think Holden would be that clever enough to have a burner phone which is why he wouldn't show Lacey his phone.  She thought the RB's  were tough guys so can handle herself with Holden but he's a  lot more dangerous, at least they were in the open about what they did.

Thing is, what Ava did was basically Crying Wolf

True, but Justin didn't know that so did what any parent would.

I think what little sympathy I had for Tane evaporated here. It's bad enough that he swear blinds that he's never had anything to do with drugs when we know for a fact he has (possibly without knowing, but he was still happy enough to move in those circles), but his acting like a sulky manchild with Harper really was the last straw. Sure, this wouldn't have happened if Harper hadn't brought Kerrie there, but maybe it wouldn't have happened if Tane hadn't been so unremittingly hostile towards Kerrie and made it abundantly clear that he was her enemy? Things would probably still have gone south but she might not have fixated on him as the reason. But that would mean Tane being more self-reflective than he's capable of.

And in the other corner we have David acting like a little Napoleon and throwing around his dubious power to punish anyone he sees as having slighted him, real or imagined. His claims that he's conducting a thorough investigation and not targeting Tane were proved to be lies and delusional the moment he shut down any lead Cash is pursuing and focused solely on gathering evidence against Tane. And I could have done without Justin enabling him and the idea that neanderthal fathers should be allowed to overreact to anything involving their daughters. Has David ever considered that maybe he's just a rubbish father and rubbish cop? Because his track record at both is spotty at best.

The only ones to emerge with any integrity were Cash, Harper and Jo, and I cheered every time one of them stood up to David and his power trips.

Has any Summer Bay cop actually been anything other than inept?  Peter Baker was a low point 20-22 years ago. Yes, let's hide everyone out at Leah's rather than take them out of Summer Bay what can possibly go wrong?  Hayley didn't even go full Leah/Lacey and blame Scott, instead she shagged him and (eventually) had his kid after the most overdrawn and tedious storyline in soap history until, well, now.

Spoiler

Yes, the drugs allegations are still unresolved in Australia.  We have a LONG way to go.

Anyway props to Harper for calling David out on his conflict of interest BS.   But to go round to Tane's and order her home like she was a teenager was just weird.

Elsewhere, Eden has finally told Sonny about Remi.  I don't think she had a choice.

Jo digging her heels in at the cop shop was delightful.
