I'm watching Pride and Prejudice at the moment. The kiera knightley one. i prefer to BBc drama version and may watch it after this one

So do I, but my mum thinks it simplified a lot of the dialogue for American audiences. But she's a much bigger Austen fan.

After rediscovering the classic Wile E. Coyote shorts last week I checked out a DVD of the Best of Bugs Bunny. I think I'd only seen two of them before, including my all time favourite High Diving Hare ("I know this defies the law of gravity, but you see, I never studied Law!"). I also loved Rabbit Seasoning and the pronoun trouble:

Bugs: (to Elmer) Would you like to shoot me now or wait 'til you get home?

Daffy: Shoot him now! Shoot him now!

Bugs: You keep outta this! He doesn't have to shoot you now!

Daffy: He does so have to shoot me now! [to Elmer] I demand that you shoot me now!

and later:

Bugs: Would you like to shoot me now or wait till you get home?

Daffy: Shoot him now; shoot him now!

Bugs: You keep outta this, he doesn't have to shoot you now.

Daffy: Hah! That’s it! Hold it right there! [to audience] Pronoun trouble. [to Bugs] It's not "he doesn't have to shoot you now", it's "he doesn't have to shoot me now." Well, I say he does have to shoot me now!! (to Elmer) So shoot me now!

I am apparently watching "Carmen: A Hip Hopera." I'm not paying attention to it, but I'm letting it run in the background on account of that delightful Beyonce Knowles is involved. It looks alright, if you like that sort of thing, but I mostly wanted to post about the term "Hip Hopera," which is new to me.
