Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Battlefield Earth, which (and someone should lynch me for saying this) was not as bad as I expected. The only weak links in the acting or script that I found were John Travolta and the annoyingly frequent use of the words "man-animal" and "rat-brain." Barry Pepper was a bit hammy in the scene where he was rallying the humans, but he wasn't really that different to Mel Gibson in the Braveheart battle scenes. The plot resolution (involving fighter planes that should have stopped working centuries ago) was laughable, but the first 90 minutes mostly made sense. When I compare it to Plan 9 From Outer Space, Battlefield Earth wasn't totally bad.

Luc Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I had to endure The Lizzie McGuire Movie in Italian today - why we had to watch it I have no idea, it only contains the trevi Fountain, and that's not for long and the information is inaccurate, although I must admit Alex Borstein (known as Lois from Family Guy) was funny.
