Sunny Girl Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Going off topic again, my parents were eighteen when they got married, and they've being together for forty years now . . . So it does happen . . .
claire_louise Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 I never said that it didn't happen, I just said that I was getting a bit fed up of so many young couples getting married on the show. It's all very well in theory, but it ends up limiting the younger characters who should have so much potential. After they're married, they can't do as much with them in terms of storylines. It's either pregnancy, divorce or death (or a combination of the three). But it's just my personal opinion anyway.
Ashirr-Leigh Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 See, I think (or hope) it will be a bit different for Robbie and Tasha. Sure, they're 'married', in their eyes at least, but I don't think that's going to limit their storylines. Most of the young couples who get married immediately become more adult about everything and I think that's what makes it hard to keep the chemistry and liveliness of them. Robbie and Tasha though, I doubt they're going to become very adult. Not that they're immature.. they just don't act like adults and that's a good thing.
Sunny Girl Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Sorry Claire_Louise, I can see what you're saying now, when you put it like that . . . : P
iloverobbie Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I really thought it was sweet, but its funny cause Beth laughs at them.
emzyflower Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I laughed as well, though now Im worried. I got married when I was seven?!! Do i have to get a divorce before i marry for real? omg!!!! Lol!!!! Its so stupid, how could they expect to get taken seriously!?!
Pierced Musie Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I cackled and I'm pretty sure I said 'But you aren't actually married you idiots' a couple of times... before hoping a shark would show up and eat them.
The Cure Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 So does anyone still think Robbie and Tasha are "mature"?? The whole storyline is just a stupid joke. They are like a pair of 8 year olds. I have always foud them cringe-worthy, now they are just pitiful. Loved it when the lightbulb finally went off in Robbie's head and he says to Tasha, "You know, I don't think mum's taking us seriously". No kidding mate. Why do they think they are married?? Are they seriously supposed to 17 and 18 respectively??What are they on??
Liz Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 At least there's continuity with the characters. They've always had strange perceptions of situations; why should this be any different?
cool-chick Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 i guess it was kinda silly but it was sweet and to them it was pretty special so as long as they are happy then good for them.
