Welcome to the Review Thread

This is the thread where you become the critic of H&A episodes, you give your opinions, favourite quotes, views and personal favourites.

To post in this thread, you should:

1)Give the episode a score of 1 - 5, 1=poor, 5=mind-blowingly brilliant

2)Remember that this is an episode review not a character review

3)Give reasons for your opinions

4)Obviously state what episode you are reviewing

5)Respect other people's opinions

I set up this thread because i have seen others like it and they have done really well. I don't know if there is another thread like this, but post your views.

 Good luck with that one, mate!

Good idea though. I will post next time I see an above average episode.

Lol thanks Ste.

I'm posting the first review to get this thread started, okay i'm reviewing the UK episode for the 12th Dec 05 - the one that's going on as i type.

I give this episode a 4 out of 5.

The episode as a whole was very good, it mainly focused on the relationship between Chloe and Troy. I thought it wasvery well thought out and very well acted by the actress who plays Chloe. She looked genuinly fearful when she thought Troy was outside.

This contrasted well with the cooking of Ric, which i thought was extremely funny. The way he dropped the chicken and slid it across the floor and the lemon rolled past was hilarious. When Cassie found the take away container at the end i thought that Ric was going to be in trouble!

The beast performances of the night were from Chloe and Jesse who acted very passionately and very realisticcally.

The end of the episode left on a cliffhanger, wondering Jesses fate - but i've read ahead, so i'm not worrying  .

The reason that i haven't given this a five out five is that although it was well done, it was very character focused. The only people in the episode fully were: Chloe, Ric, Sally, Cassie, Jesse, Troy, Flynn and Matilda. They could have branched out to show a few more main characters.

This is my review, i'm sure people can do better!

Happy Viewing!

I also thought this episode was very good. Think I'd give it a 5 out of 5. :)

It's the first episode of Home and Away that I've really enjoyed for a while. That doesn't mean that the others have been bad, just not as good. Do you ever get it when a good episode makes it seem longer? I'm not sure if that makes sense, but I felt like I was watching something much longer than half an hour tonight - in a good way!

Is it Kristy Wright who plays Chloe? Whatever her name is, she's fab. Her and Jesse gave strong performances tonight, as did Ric and Cassie. I think you're right, Guevara, Ric's cooking was like the comic relief because the rest of the episode was so serious.

I'm not sure I'm that good at reviewing episodes, lol.. but those were my thoughts!

Edit - forgot to say that I'm reviewing the same episode as Guevara! December 12th in the Uk!

Yes, that's her. She's also got a minor role on the newest Star Wars movie :)

She's beautiful isn't she? It's funny cos when she first came into it she was really geeky and they played down the way she looked, but nowadays she really shines. I actually thought she was quite wooden for the first couple of eps last week and I was a bit disappointed, but she did a good job today. A definite improvement. :)

Another episode 13th Dec - Uk ep

Chloe believes Troy is beind bars . . . but is he??

I give this episode a three out of five. Lots of characters were invloved and again i thought Chloe's acting was superb. That Troy guy really was quite freaky as well. Although i do like the paternity storyline and i was quite glad that Josie F-I-N-A-L-L-Y found the papers that have been in that box since like forever.

I have to say though, parts of te episode today was very yawn-worthy. The Hayley/Kim/Scott conversation especially - and that's usually the bit i like!

Also, i know that Barry not being warm to Olivia is part of his character or something, but i cringed. The suspense of the episode was good, i didn't think at the start that they'd caught Troy - after all the channel 5 overview guy always ruins the storyline  - but i didn't think of the outcome that they did. I thought that they would have just caught the wrong person, not that it was him all along - that was clever.

The action-packed wood run (lol) was good at the end, although i can't really see her being able to outrun him, but nevermind. Jesse saves the dy again, all hail King Jesse!!!

Feel free to post more reviews on ths or any other episode, this isn't called the review thread for nothing  .

Okay no one else is posting reviews so the idea is kind of going down the tube :( which is strange because it has worked so many times before.

You don't have to review the episode that has just been on that day, you can pick any episode that you have particular feelings about.

Your posts don't have to be long either - not like mine :P - i suppose it's just fun to join in and get your views across. Please try this thread because i really think it can work.

I didn't see tonight's episode so I can't review that! Lol! Last night though, yeah, I liked it. I can't remember it all because I have a really bad memory, lol.. but yeah, it was good.

I know what you mean about Chloe outrunning Troy - come on! She's tiny, lol. Anyway, yeah.. all hail King Jesse! :P Any excuse, eh?

I'm glad Josie finally found the results too! It's been frustrating me for soo long. Who has a box full of stuff sitting randomnly in their house and doesn't look in it??
