Also, is it just me or is Dan's mother acted terribly?

She was also a relation of Shauna's in 2000; she came back and 'ruined' Ailsa's life for a few weeks, in stirring things up as regards to Shauna’s real mother...

Perhaps she was meant to be a very exaggerated character. In that case, the acting was spot on, but it was all very cringeworthy for me.

I don't remember her from 2000. What kind of character was she then?

The woman playing Dan's mother looked very familiar, but I didn't recognise the actress's name? Has she been in anything else (apart from her former role on H&A, which I didn't see)?

I think she was in Rob Brydons new comedy "Supernova" that was on BBC 2 recently I only watched the first episode though so I might be wrong

She was Shauna's adoptive aunt. She had been in prison with Ailsa and had wanted to adopt Shuan herself, but her sister did instead as she was not allowed to beacsue of her crim past, and she was jealous.

I thought Noelene and Helen were a super comedy act.
