That's what I originally thought, but all of the outer walls in the main living area and laundry room have that brown brick on them, whereas all interior walls are plastered, so if this works the same with the hallway, then the wall to the right as we see it is an outer wall, as it is brown brick, whereas every other wall is the wood panelling and the plaster, or wall paper or whatever, is there.
