DarkMoon Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I was wondering if u guys were able to settle an ongoing debate I'm having on this other website lol... Can anyone confirm either way is Laurie the one in the Sheila's Wheels advert?? Some people on the site are pretty sure it is but I'm not so convinced.
ste Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I don't think it is but I'll have a closer look next time it's on.
gryphons_halo Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Ive certainly looked twice a couple of times now having seen that ad. Not 100 per cent certain, but it definately looks like her.
ste Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I just saw it and it's definately NOT her!
claire_louise Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I doubt it. I was just thinking the last time I saw it how cheap and crappy it is. Laurie is classier than that.
Guevara01 Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 It's probably not her, but i soooo agree that it looks like her!!! x lol

Haha thats what I thought lol!! I hope Ste is right in saying its NOT her... I think I trust him cuz he seems to know a lot of stuff, so thanks Ste for your confirmation
Ryan Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I bet I would be banned from setting up a car insurance company solely for men, with lower rates etc. Double standards.
DarkMoon Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Yeah I know what u mean, to a certain extent! Would u seriously want a car insurance solely for men? Lol it would probably work out more expensive when u consider that (apparently) it's more frequently men that make claims on their insurance. Car insurance for women I think can only be sexist if companys are simply banned from doing the same for men. The fact that they choose not to I wouldn't say is sexist, they probably don't because there's nothing to be gained for the driver. Having said that I do feel sorry for the younger guys out there that actually do drive safely, because they usually get painted with the same brush as 'boy racers' and so have to fork out high insurance costs.
