Elise Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Thanks Elise... but, uh, I actually use a digital camera *hides* I do wish I had the real thing, but right now, skimping to save for Uni accomodation and all, I need to not be spending loads of money. One day I'll have a real decent one though... one day. Some digi cams can allow you to force the exposure, but not sure which ones! But it's all good, you don't need to get a decent one, especially if you are only going to use it occasionally. I got mine so I can take photos of lightning! Rheds, I <3 the ball wall!
MarMar Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Found this photo - taken something in the spring of 2004.
Elise Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 ^That's awesome Mar.....but is that mold?? Or grass stain?? I love how you captured the texture on the walls.
MarMar Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 I have no idea what it is! My guess would be mold, but not sure.
Dan F Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Took some pics on me phone at the Christmas Market, but I had to have it on Slow Shutter Speed and me hands were cold so they came out crap! Took two on the way home which came out better though:
Elise Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Great photos Dan! We have a forecast of late Thunder for us on Sunday, hopefully I will be able to bring out the cam and take photos, and when I do, I will post them.
MarMar Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 You should have been here yesterday, Elise - really powerful lightning!
Elise Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Dang. Although it is kinda dire here, we have had no rain in the last few months, and with temps getting up to 37 degrees celcius with strong northerlies (real hot winds), the fires already here are going to be nightmarish. One other problem is, I want a storm, but it has to have rain, as any rouge lightning strike on very dry and tinder ground will spark more bushfires, and we'd basically be screwed. Maybe I should move up your way, it would be safer there, that's for sure, and I would also get my awesome weather photos. I haven't seen a decent storm for awhile now.
bay girl Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I had a great opportunity to take this pic the other day and i stuffed it up. I was outside with my camera taking some pics. And this ball of ligtening practically just flew through my back yard and hit my neighbours shed roof. Scared the living daylights out of me; it was so loud. But it was amazing. Just wish i had of got a pic.
