There's not that many for me to choose from! I've not been watching long enough to say Diana or even Morag because she's not really that bitchy these days, is she? And if she is, it's in the name of saving Summer Bay so it's forgiveable!

Amanda lies, cheats and manipulates but she doesnt have that intelligence or sharpness to be a really good bitch. She never comes out with some really good nasty one liners like the really good bitches did like Angie or Diana.

This won't be popular but...

I think Irene is the biggest bitch. She is a complete bully and has made Josie's life hell from the moment she arrived, despite Josie constantly being nice to her. Josie has never done anything to hurt Irene, and has continuously gone out of her way to do the right thing. The only thing Josie has ever done that Irene could be upset about was the hidden camera thing, but that was really Ian Osborne that did that. Josie only got involved to make sure it didn't get out of hand. Ian Osborne would have done it anyway with or without Josie's help so she thought it would be better if she could control it. Irene is just a b*tch and bully who can't stand Josie because she looks like Angie. Pathetic, cruel woman.

I think you totally misundestand Irene's character.

So why is Irene mad at Josie? Well - first of all she arrives and says she is going to apply for custody of Tasha - what a good move - that is hardly going to endear her to Irene. Secondly she screws up Jesse's life. Thirdly - she - and everyone else in SB - thinks Josie is working wth Brett to screw the town. Fourthly she screwed things up for Scott and Hayley. There were a few other things along the way, but I can't recall them all. But they were not always at logger heads. When Tasha met her father, she called Josie because she knew Tasha needed her - she would not do that if she were the bitch you say she is. Irene is just plain speaking and calls a spade a spade. Actually Irene was being Irene - that is, she is always fiercely protective - like a lioness with her cubs where her " kids" are concerned. That's not being a bitch it's being human, and loyal, and it's why she is such a popular character.

Bitchiness is something completely different . A bitch is spiteful; and hurtful for the sake of it. Irene will hit out for the sake of those she loves, but would never be spiteful for the sake of it.

The superbitches on Home and Away have been Diana, and Morag - though she has mellowed over the years. And then there is Angie - who has to be one of the best characters ever on Home and Away. I agree with some earlier posters Amanda isn't a superbitch - she is just an amateur compared with some of those who have gone before her.
