All the male characters would be boring to play. Don Fisher would probably be the best one because he could be very silly and also very serious and dictatorial.

^ Not ALL the male characters! The majority though. I think Barry would be a cool character to play, or Ric, or even Jesse to an extent. They are all interesting characters with depth. I was going to say Alf, because he's seen so much and has so much history, but I think after saying 'strewth!' for the millionth time it might get a bit boring!

Out of the ladies, I'd probably choose Irene, Beth (she needs livening up a bit, like she used to be), Sally or Matilda.
