They look perfectly healthy. Just because you don't feel comfortable in a bikini doesn't mean other people shouldn't wear one.

And all that talk about "normal" sized people, makes me sick.

msf I never said that other girls shouldent wear a bikini. All I said was that some girls who wear tankinis instead of bikinis feel bad because most girls on TV and movies wear bikinis. Many girls have died because they have starved themselfs to because they think being thin is everyone and you won't be excepted in your not thin so they starve themselves and end up dying. Some clothing stores only sell clothes for smaller skinny girls. I'm sure most of you have learned about eating disorders at school.

I agree that the ones who've lost a dramatic amount of weight can't be healthy. For example Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Teri Hatcher etc. But in Hollywood it's different as there is a constant pressure to be stick thin. Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives was quoted as saying that they were paid not to eat (not literally, lol). But in soaps it's not so bad.

Nicole lost weight in rehab though, so I don't think it was intentional

Sorry, I just read what dncllpyk said and I really don't agree. Too much blame is put on the media for the pressure girls feel to be thin. Nowadays magazines are more likely to criticise women who are too thin than too fat. Young girls don't think that they won't be accepted if they're not thin because of the media, they think it because generally that's what happens when you're that age. If you don't look a certain way, you get singled out. Obviously that's not right but it's how it is.

Oh and about clothing stores - as a petite person I find it much harder to find clothes in small sizes than larger ones. There are shops like Evans that only do large sizes but shops that only sell small ones are criticised.

I agree with this, even though it might be the media who is in a way forcing them to be like this, it would just be nice to see them be theirselves. Even if they do develop an eating disorder, it probably started out through wanting to be skinny. My sister started going this way, but luckily she stopped before anything serious started to happen to her, and she also got told off by people that she was losing too much weight, so now she looks a lot healthier than she was.

You can't tell people off for losing weight, it's like bullying and they could kill themselves, well according to some people on the Neighbours board anyway.

Bigger girls are bitchy to slim girls for one reason and one reason only: jealousy. The amount of nastiness I have recieved from larger girls, telling me I am too thin (which I am not), or anorexic (again, definetly not) is simply uncalled for. Even people I consider to be friends sometimes make snide comments.

It is pathetic. People should just be themselves, be reasonably healthy and quit worrying about something so immaterial as body-shape.

Oh, and celebrites are so incredibly thick, haven't they figured out that you simply cannot win with the press??? They will always be critisesd for their bodies, either way, it is just the way of the evil media moles. They should just ignore all that nonsense, and, as I said, be themselves. The age old moaning about industy pressure is stale and boring. Why would you allow anybody else to tell you how to look and live your life??? It is baffling to me.

msf your so sexist. No all girls are b****y. Its like a girl saying all boys are only care about sex. Which is obvirsly not true. I went to an all girls school and the the b****ing was pretty bad. My sisters ex boyfriend said that he didnt really like stick thin girls because he was scared they would break. There are some guys out there who think looks are everything. While there are others who like a girl for who she is and vice versa. Clairelouise. I wasnt critisizing skinny girls. Girls arnt the only ones who feel pressured by society to be skinny boys do to. Also clothing stores like City Beach only hire thin girls which can be quiet disturbing to bigger girls. My sister is skinny and once while on holiday she couldent fit into a wet suit while on a boat and the guy told her she should eat more. Skinny girls can be b****y aswell. While some are nice.
