The world of soap has seen 32 tragic accidents and disasters in 2005, ranging from house fires – with Danny Moon torching Johnny Allen’s home – to car crashes, killing the likes of Max King. Meanwhile, Summer Bay’s emergency team have been called out four times in the past few months alone! So it’s no wonder that team leader Alf has been heard yelling “Stone the flamin’ crows†a total of 182 times this year! 31 Deaths It’s been a dangerous year in soap. There have been 13 horrific murders, such as Corrie’s Tommy Harris and EastEnders’ Den Watts. Five tragic accidents have taken place, including Hollyoaks’ Ali Taylor, who was hit by a car. And who could forget the passing of everyone’s favourite granny, EastEnders’ Nana Moon? Meanwhile, in Summer Bay, there’s been a whooping nine deaths in 2005, largely thanks to stalker Eve Jacobsen – aka Zoe McCallister. 79 Returns. Aa whole host of farmiliar faces made soap comebacks in 2005, mostly in Erinsborough, whichp saw faves po up for the 20th anniversary of Neighbours. But Summer Bay also had a good showing, with 14 old faces arriving to celebrate Alf Stewart's 60th birthday. And who could forget the legendary return of EastEnders' Grant and Phil Mitchell in October? Altogether now, "Ello, Mum!". 13 Soap Psychos. We love a good nutter, and there’s been quite a few in soap this year. Our favourite characters have been terrified by six stalkers, with Summer Bay notching up four of them – Felix Walters, Sarah Lewis, Diesal Williams and Eve Jacobsen. And then there are those who are just loons, plain and simple, like Emmerdale’s Steph Stokes, for instance. Did Shelley Williams really die after Steph flung her from that ferry in Scotland? Maybe we’ll never know…. There are other statistics given, but I have only posted those with references made to H&A. They gave me a good old giggle! ETA: Never mind!

Liz Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 LOL, I wondered that... I'm still trying to figure it out. I checked the magazine and it definately says nine. (Could be a typo...) ETA: There was also Cassie's grandmother and the original (real) Zoe McCallister.

BTW can anyone tell me what happend to Diesal? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Flynn came home to find Diesel threatening Sally, he was holding Pippa and said he would hurt her, so Sally lied and told him she loved him. Flynn tackled him, Pippa was returned to Sally, the police were called and Diesel was taken away. Diesel confessed and the charges against Sally were dropped. Sally went to the police station to talk to Diesel, she seemed to understand him and was very sympathetic and forgiving. Diesel left, someone mentioned that he had gone to live with his grandparents or something, I don't remember seeing him leave though, he just seemed to disappear. Hope that helped!
