Ross Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 When the Sarah siege was shown in Australia last year, I got more obsessed with Home and Away than usual! lol, so I wrote to nearly every member ofthe cast who was in the show at that point. I got loads of replies, some quickly, some more slowly. I sent my letters early September, and Lyn Collingwood sent me a fancard saying thankyou for my compliments, and I got that late September, which is really quick! Especially bearing in mind I'm in the Uk and the letters take a while to get here and back. I got fancards from Clarissa House and Ray Meagher in mid OCtober with thankyou messages on them. Then, this year, in February, Ben Unwin sent me a fancard with my name on. Later that month, Isabel Lucas replied. She had signed a fancard for me, and sent a typed letter, which she had hand signed. I'm not sure if it was a pre written letter or not, but most likely was, although it seemed to fit what I'd written. But then, about two years ago, I wrote to Bec Cartwright and she replied with a typed letter, butit answered all the questions I had asked her about her music etc, so that was genuine, and she'd signed it. Then, in May, I recieved a fancard from Laurie Foell, and she said thankyou for your beautfil letter, Ross, love Laurie. Haven't got any other replies but baring in mindI wasn't confident about getting any, I'm really happy. But as you can see, the replies take varying lengths of time, I meanI wrote to Laurie in September, and got a repy in May (8 months later) so don't be put off if you don't get a reply in a couple of months, it takes time!

~Lynd~ Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Not by every person they don't SDA.My friend and i wrote to heaps of them to.Lyn coolingwood[colleen] gave basically the same reply though it was handwritten. Clarissa House hand wrote diffrent replies on the back of her fancard as did Sam attwell.Michael Beckley also handwrote diffrent replies in a letter.Bec Cartwright had the same thing done on a computer but had written our names in pen and also wriiten some personal stuff about our letter's at the end in her writting. Ben Unwin,Isabel and Tammin Sursok were kind of dissapointing as they didn't even have a name on them and you get the impression they weren't even read, but oh wellyou win some you lose some, all in all i think we got pretty good personal replies, most of them do actually take the time to read and respond to their fanmail. -Lynd

Yeah, sometimes he doesn't put a lot into his replies, but he *does* read every single one. He really appreciates his fans. I suppose it all depends on what you say. I got a personal reply where he answered a couple of questions that I didn't think he would.
