sportzgal82 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 43C here now, one town between Adelaide and the Victorian border got to 48 degrees just before We got to 45 in Adelaide - its 9pm and still 39 and we are going to have the same for the next six days!!! I hate the heat....give me winter any day

I hate the heat....give me winter any day 45.7C in Adelaide to be exact. Shame it didn't push those extra measly 0.3 degrees to get a nice clean 46! 43.4C was the high here. Stayed above 40C until 8.30pm. Still 36C here at 10pm. Funnily enough, down the road in Geelong it's only 24!

I spare a thought for those who have to travel Connex, those whose power has been out for many hours, those who live in the average rental property without aircon and those being hospitalised for heat stress as well as all the poor animals with the local creek beds drying up.

That's Horrible! I live in hot weather aswell, but haven't quite got to that point. That's cruel. I absouletly love the cold. Atm, outside it's cloudy but still VERY hot!

First time ever the heat stung my eyes, and its literally feels like sticking your head in an oven. There was even a "smell" in the air, hard to describe but its sort of like the aroma of smoke or something cooking. It's cooler now , 33 degrees at 8:50pm. tomorrow forecast: min 27 / max 43 degrees, mostly sunny
