Drew Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Does anyone know what happened to Edie? Apprently she doesn't even appear in the finale two episodes.
Luc Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 From Edie's wikipedia page... In episode 4.15 Mother Said, Edie is confronted by Bree about the kiss she gave Orson. When Edie tells Bree she is not interested in Orson, a slap in the face form Bree told her otherwise. It ignited a full scale war between them. Edie's business with a family trying to buy the Young's house is sabotaged by Bree. When Edie goes to Orson's apartment to complain about Bree, she notices Orson's statement about Benjamin. Edie then blackmails Bree into being kind to her or she will reveal all her secrets. When Bree tells Susan, Lynette and Gabrielle about Benjamin's true parentage and Edie's attempt to blackmail her, they march down to Edie's house to confront Edie and tell her that they are finished with her forever. Edie's apologies to the women of Wisteria Lane fall on deaf ears. As Edie leaves Wisteria Lane for good, she tells her son Travers that she will be spending Mother's Day with him. In fact, she will be spending a lot more time with Travers from now on. Also, DH without Andrea Bowen is hard to imagine, and Lyndsay Fonseca isn't returning, which will be sad . I cannot imagine anyone other than her playing Dylan. Here's an article that discusses the possible outs and ins http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/ne...ousewives_N.htm
Drew Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Oh... I thought she would have had the big Wisteria Lane send off which always ends in murder it's good to see though that she can return again
Zetti Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Ok. I just watched the episode after the tornado and Dylan rescued some pieces of paper from the fire but I am curious, what is the secret?
Mistified Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 ^ The real Dylan was a little girl and her Dad, whom the mother hated, called to her and gave her a dolly. Catherine came home and went mad that the father had visited given her the dolly. She took the dolly and put it on top of Dylan's wardrobe. She then went downstairs and had massive row with the father. Meanwhile, Dylan got out of bed and had obviously climbed up to get the dolly from the top of the wardrobe, but ended up pulling it down on herself. When Catherine went up she was already dead under the pulled down wardrobe. Catherine then went to Romania and adopted a little girl who looked just like Dylan, and she is the girl we know. I can't remember now why she did that. This was all shown in flashback in the season finale while Dylan's father held Catherine, and then Bree, at gunpoint.Ok. I just watched the episode after the tornado and Dylan rescued some pieces of paper from the fire but I am curious, what is the secret?
Drew Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 By the sounds of that article, it's as if that timeshift is for good and the way they're going on about the actors who aren't in the next season... If that's true, I'm really not sure what to think of the show now... I thought it was going to be for atleast a season.
claire_louise Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 The time-shift is a good idea and has great potential, but I'm not in favour of it being a permanent thing at all. I actually think that would be quite insulting to the fans. We've spent years watching these characters and caring about what happens to them - what was the point if some of them are going to disappear just like that? Mike is a prime example. All that effort that went into getting Mike and Susan together, are they really just going to replace him with some random guy we don't know or care about? If that's what happens I'll be really disappointed. Yes, I'll still watch the show, but I really doubt it will be as good as it was.
Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 I like the idea of the timeshift, but only if we get Lost-style flashbacks during Season 5 of what happened in between. This way they could keep all the young cast, as well as James Denton. I especially don't want to lost Joy Lauren and Lindsy Fonseca.
suzannelgnz Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 whoa, looks interesting to say the least, here in NZ we have just had the episode where Kayla jumps off the roof, and dares the twins to do so during which one of them breaks their arm + the woman moving in to gabi and carlos' that gabi thinks is a prostitute.
