Dan F Posted October 26 Report Posted October 26 For any that haven't taken a look at the main site recently, the Most Popular Character vote for 2026 is now open A lot of you know the drill - all the details and the voting form are in the article at the end of the post, but some pointers first: You're voting for the five characters you genuinely believe are the best ever characters over the show's history - not just current ones, or the hottest. Please give surnames for all characters. David Croft or Langham? Tom Fletcher or Tom Nash? If we can't be certain who you mean, the vote won't be counted. Strictly one vote per person. And yes, we do notice when some of you put in votes under multiple email addresses. If you enter more than once, only the most recent will count. You can only vote for five characters. Multiple characters entered into one box, or simply putting 'The Braxtons', doesn't fool us and wastes a vote. Any characters who debuted in Episode 8802 or onwards are not eligible, as these characters had not yet appeared in the UK when the voting opened. Alf Roberts wasn't a Home and Away character (he was in Corrie) Voting closes on Friday 13th November 2026. https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2026/10/14/back-to-the-bay-launches-home-and-aways-most-popular-character-vote/ 2 Quote
Zig Posted October 27 Report Posted October 27 Very excited for this and to see how different the ranking are to previous years. Will be interesting to see who makes the cut and who doesnt. Â Hoping you will do Most Popular Couple next as a one off early into 2026 that would be amazing. Quote

c120701 Posted Wednesday at 20:59 Report Posted Wednesday at 20:59 I have to say, voting for just 5 characters out of the first 16 years was a lot easier than voting for 5 characters from 39 years. It’s difficult to balance the want to vote for newer people who have made an impact with slotting them in amongst characters from the golden eras of the show. It is also a stark reminder of how some characters have been over-diluted. 1 Quote
