I think Ben Hall who played Ned Parker  would suited playing Home and away bad boy  character.

He played Ned Willis, not Ned Parker

I don't think any of the Neighbours stalwarts could have a role in H&A simply because their so synonymous with that role. Same would go for H&A stalwarts in Neighbours. I'm surprised the producers haven't tried to lure back Rebekah Elmaloglou or Jodi Gordon off the back of their Neighbours success. Martha has family still in Summer Bay. Whilst Sophie doesn't, she does have a very loose connection to Alf through Blake and her children Tamara and David would be the right age to slot into the younger cast.

Other cast I'd like to see in H&A: I was always a big fan of Charlotte Chimes, so maybe her in some capacity? I also quite liked Alex Kaan who was a regular in the last few months of Neighbours, so it would be great to see him in a longer-term role also.

Is that really a stumbling block? Rebekah and Jodi settled into Neighbours just fine, despite being known for their H&A characters? Realistically though, it'd be a younger actor they'd look for. Especially if some of them relocate to Sydney.

I'd like to see Sophie, Blake and their adult children move back to the Bay. If the Langhams weren't there now, it's something that could've been very possible.

I think in Rebekah's case it had been 20 years since she played Sophie full-time, so it was easier to accept her as Terese. For me, the bigger stumbling block was both Willis parents being former H&A regulars.

If she'd jumped straight from one to the next, I don't think it would have worked as well. She's spent so long as Terese now, and it's more than likely the majority of H&A viewers wouldn't even know her as Sophie, so I could just see it falling flat for that reason.

Craig McLachlan going straight from Henry Ramsay to Grant Mitchell is an example of this.

I personally don't rate Martha or Elly Conway that I wouldn't be bothered if she returned as Martha, but mot characters were definitely fan favourites and a favourite for the writers/producers too.

This is more likely. I guess one of the older Neighbours cast members might come on board for a guest stint, but unlikely ever a regular cast member. Do we even have guest characters over the age of 40 anymore other than parents of a regular cast?

Bridie Carter, Rachael Carpani and Bren Forster all played characters over 40 as guests… they were also all villains of the week.

Stefan Dennis, but as he was so famous as Paul in Neighbours, if he did H&A, even as a guest stint, it would feel like Paul Robinson in Summer Bay, as much as if Ray Meagher ever had taken a break from H&A and done a guest stint in Neighbours, he'd be Alf Stewart in Ramsay Street. I feel that would be a stumbling block there.

It's definitely hard for those actors. It would hard to imagine any of the stalwarts from Neighbours in the other. They would have to play a completely different type of character for it to even have a chance. John Middleton is currently on Hollyoaks after 21 years on Emmerdale. I really like his Hollyoaks character, but I never watched Emmerdale, so I can't comment on how successful the transition has been for people who are fans of both.
