Kerrie did get shot down when Tane said Harper knew all about his kidnapping Maia/Poppy and had actually avoided  questions at his trial  which Kerrie would have known Harper was at  if she'd read more.  Tane, would have of course mentioned Kerrie's latest plot to bring him down to Harper.  Bit of  a stretch but could it have been Harper's personal laptop?

Kerrie did catch Dana at a low point after being dismissed by Sonny, not that I blame him, he wants a girlfriend NOT a nurse.  OK being a nurse is helpful in some ways, but she needs to reign it in. Trying to railroad him into going to this particular rehab clinic which  is near to the bay and talking about him as if he wasn't there. Anyways I hope Dana  and Sonny patch it up. Kerrie nearly got there but we saw from  the promo Dana stomps off.

Nought to do with ought really, but usually when characters are laid up in a hospital bed it must be a doddle for them as normally they can move about a bit, wriggle their legs, scratch an itch, but in 'Sonny's' case he can't move his legs and yes I know it's only for about five minutes or so but must  be so hard for Ryan having to resist moving  or having someone, like Eden, plonking themselves next to you and not being able to move your legs away from them to give them a bit more room.

Cash did try without naming names to explain his problem with Remi to Tane but didn't get anywhere.

I can't remember who it was - so apologies -  who said Eden doesn't know how to keep a secret as that's two people she's told about this fictitious  fast track scheme Cash has invented to cover his disappearances but that is going to backfire at some point.  Remi did tell Cash why he doesn't want Eden to know about his condition, she'd see  and treat him  differently which  he doesn't - nor would anyone -  want.   Where has he moved out to?

Handy, of course, that it was Cash who just happened to drop by.  Remi isn't seeing things logically, but then it would be a lot to get your  head around.  He's always been an independent  guy and having, maybe, to rely on others would be hard.   Wonder what Bree would have said if she'd still been in the bay?

I know what happens about Holden too 😉James Martin but like you am keeping schtum.

Leah has some bad times over the years, believing for years that Vinnie died in prison and having to bring up VJ on her own, finding out he had glue ear and had to have a cochlear implant.  Discovering Vinnie was alive and in WP so had to disappear.  Losing Dan.  Being caught up with the Vita Nova lot, getting kidnapped by them,  which brought on that psychotic episode to name but a  few.   Those final words she said to Theo would haunt her.

I can understand Kerrie she had a bad experience with Harpers dad being controlling and too be honest I don’t really trust Tane not to just vanish with Archie

We only have Kerrie's word for it that Warwick, her late husband, was controlling.

Dana going into full girlfriend crisis mode again despite saying it was professional nurse.  I doubt she'd rush off sorting stuff out that fast for any other patients.   Just give Sonny the folder and let him read it in his own good time woman!

Harper beginning to see the light re her mom at last.

The girls would have at some memory of their Dad's ways before they were removed.

Also on the Leah scale; learning Vinnie had effectively died for real in WP, though some people think Elijah was Bsing

Cash tries to have a word with Remi about keeping this all from Eden but no luck. I did wonder where Remi was moving out to. At least he remembered to lock the door this time! After dispensing with Eddie, it feels like it would be hard to justify starting up the label again at this point, which I still think is a shame.

Sonny warns Dana about being too much but she just goes full steam ahead and does it all anyway. She really did struggle with reading the room and recognising that she was just taking control of something Sonny already knew about, not coming up with a brilliant new idea like she thought she was.

Kerrie really should have done her research better, then she might have realised that Harper knew all about Tane's past. (I mean, Archie was conceived right in the middle of it!) And that Tane would just go straight to Harper. Her approaching Dana suggests it might not be quite last doors for her, although yes, the promo suggests it's not going to be smooth sailing for her.

At their young age they wouldn't have known what 'controlling' meant, it's only recently us adults have recognised it and how it can be manifested.

As we have now found out Kerrie didn't read all of the reports about Tane and his trial.

Yep just as Dana had backed off being full on, she did it again, I get she wants the best for him, but it'll be him going through the rehab, pyshio.  John was a real darling again in the second 'half' and was very encouraging with Sonny.    I may be disremembering  but didn't John end up in  a wheelchair for a while after he had his stroke?  Amber was his carer.  Going back to Sonny has he not told his mum or dad about his condition, they would be his next of kin on his medical records.   It is odd how relatives of patients who have a   serious condition seem to vanish into the ether.

May just be me but methinks we haven't seen the last of Kerrie. To be a bit fair to her though, we haven't seen her have any alcohol or hasn't shown any effects of taking drugs.

Levi and Mac got their time alone interrupted. 🤣

Harper’s finally had enough of Kerrie. It’s frustrating that Tane’s kneejerk reaction proved to be right, but as Dana said a while back, getting off the drugs doesn’t automatically make her a good person. Still, I find it a bit sad. I think Kerrie did want a relationship with Harper, Dana and Archie, the problem is she wasn’t willing to put in the effort: She expected them to instantly be a happy family without her doing anything to earn their trust, and when that didn’t happen, she fixated on Tane as the reason rather than looking at herself.

John was definitely earning his halo today by going to see Sonny and giving him some straight talking. I did wonder how long it’d take him to get to the hospital: It wasn’t before Sonny had finished the conversation, but he still turned up partway through the session, as if the surf club’s only ten minutes away! Good point about John being in a wheelchair himself, I’d forgotten about that. (And I was only watching some of those episodes over Christmas!)

Mackenzie and Levi make the most of their time together, and so do Mali and Abigail in their own way. Some people are probably going to know shortly if not already, but I suspect that with Bree gone, Levi’s desire for a career change will mean working in emergency.

Confirmed in today's episode that yes he's going for Bree's gig.

Jo's back and Lacey is wasting no time playing matchmaker.

Leah meanwhile is planning to fly to Cyprus.  Clearly nobody in Summer Bay watches the news much. 😂

On the H&A fb page some are berating Harper because  as being  a SW she should know better than to invite her mum back in her life.  But it's different when it's your own family, you're more emotionally involved.  She would have always wondered if Kerrie had changed, but now she has found out for herself she hasn't.  It may have worked if Tane hadn't been  on the scene but she instantly took against him suggesting he was controlling when he's nothing of the kind. I do get the feeling Kerrie hasn't finished just yet. Harper shot her down by telling her she was the SW on the case so knew all about it.

John can be very annoying but when he talks common sense like he did with Sonny he's a hero.  He got him in the wheelchair. Good that Sonny and Dana  made up again, lets hope she can keep the  nursing side of her to the minimum. Distances in the bay do seem to shrink when the plot demands it.

Glad that Levi talked over his decision about wanting to   return to A&E with Mac.  He will be busy of course as any A&E doc is the only  one that is always there when any emergency gets brought in.  I don't know if him 'missing' the drama of not knowing what or who will happen and he proved his worth at the train crash is the right phrase but being  a cardiothoracic surgeon means he wouldn't be operating every day.  It's only going to be a trial period so who knows how it will go.  Not wanting to bring money into it but would that mean a reduction in wage for him?

As we saw Jo is home and like most docs/nurses she said she was fed up of being treated by people she works with. Why is it that  docs/nurses make the worst patients.  Leah does her usual food parcel thing by bringing food round to the Langham's.  At least the door was open and David was standing there to invite her in, but at Alf's she just swanned in surprising Justin.  That was  a lovely gesture of Justin giving Lacey the plaque, he's got the guitar to remind him of Theo.

Maybe David's words to Leah, that was an awkward meeting between her and Justin at David's, hit  a nerve which is why she's decided to go and see VJ. We are a month behind Aus and  they would have filmed those scenes a month/six weeks before they screened.

I thought Lacey knew  why Jo was keeping her relationship with Tane quiet? 🤔  Some strong words she had with David about why he was so anti Tane. She, Jo, doesn't seem that heart broken about sending Eddie on his way.

I know Jo is an adult so perfectly capable of looking after herself, I'm guessing she could be middle/late 20's? But as any parent would tell you even when your children are adults to you they are still your children whatever their age and you want to 'protect' them for getting hurt, physically or emotionally.

We did see in the promo David rocks up at the Surf Club and asks Tane if they could have  a word. I bet part of it will be "if you hurt Jo you'll have me to answer to" or words to that effect. How many times in the past have we heard that from well meaning brothers/sisters/parents/friends.

The filming to Aus TX gap is much longer than than that, those scenes were filmed in August.

That was a nice touch of Justin to give the plaque to Lacey. Otherwise, Leah and Justin are still struggling with the communicating and Alf is finding his role of go-between pretty thankless. Honestly, when you're providing the music for a sad montage yourself, it's obvious that no-one's happy. Leah going to Cyprus, even with the Royal Navy having to look out for them, might at least give them the space they seem to think they need.

Mali and Abigail get another one week storyline to justify them being regulars. Levi and Mackenzie's storyline puzzled me a lot. At first I wasn't even sure how the job change would affect Mackenzie, although I suppose Levi working more shifts makes sense. His solution was a bit presumptuous though. If I heard correctly, he's merely applied for the job. Is he really so highly regarded that he could take the job on a trial period and go back to his old job if he doesn't like it?

Elsewhere, I did enjoy Lacey going into bat for Jo and being a bit passive aggressive with David. See how Jo responds to his interrogation!
