Justin becomes the latest waif and stray that Alf takes in then! Marilyn proves to be utterly terrible at keeping secrets (it's a good job Remi didn't confide in her!), but naturally Alf blindly defends her. Anyway, Leah knowing where Justin is and even Alf forcing them to speak doesn't seem to have done them much good, although it's hard to believe this is the end when Justin basically admits he still loves her.

Cash chooses the lesser of two evils in keeping Remi's condition secret, although I doubt Eden will see it like that! At least Remi seems to have taken Levi's advice and got in touch about the referral, even if he's not telling his friends what's going on. (I guess we just have to accept him making the phone call from Salt rather than anywhere more private, in a "What sets are available? Okay, that'll do" kind of way.)

If Mackenzie and Levi want to keep this pregnancy quiet, they're being a bit conspicuous. Someone's probably growing to query their boss' bout of nausea and exactly how did they expect Mali and Abby to react to Mackenzie chucking out the entire contents of the fridge? Need a cover story there fast... On the plus side, it's been a week and they haven't been struck by lightning!

Basically Time apart wouldn't the be worst thing in the world for Justin and Leah.

I'm guessing Sarge's Inner thoughts are

"Damn, She let the *good* one go!" but holding it in

*pours over last few eps* Nurse, We need 30ccs of Laughs, Stat!

Leah knows Marilyn too well so not a surprise she realised  she was hiding something. Maz would be be a terrible poker player.

Justin and Leah did come to some kind of resolution after Alf finally persuaded Justin to listen to what Leah was trying to tell him about why she was at Sonny's bedside.  You can still love someone but if the trust has gone it would be hard to still want to be with them. Not sure why Justin said things  hadn't been good between them for a while, they were more than fine at Cash & Eden's Wedding.  It was only later that when Leah, for whatever reason,  turned to Sonny.

Talking of Eden and her reaction when she finds out about Remi and the fact Cash knew, what if it had been the other way around and she  knew something about someone Cash was close to and and she had been sworn to secrecy?

There is the beach Remi could have chosen to make the call to the consultant.  He had to be nagged into that by Levi. To escape Eden's probing  he's going back to the studio, though she tried hard to stop him. He could have sneaked out while they where at work.

That was  a lovely  gesture of Yabbie Creek to send those flowers to Eden to thank her for her work putting the names of the  victims of the crash together and cross referencing them to their  families.

At least we know Mac has suddenly got an aversion to sea food due to her pregnancy, will  she be getting a craving for some weird food combos? How is she going to hide her morning sickness from Abi and Milo? it was OTT chucking everything out of the fridge and then having to make up an excuse about  her and Levi deciding to only have healthy foods.  We did see Mac and Levi find a solution to being by themselves for a couple of days to be able to enjoy their news. 😉

Alf's episode count this week:Five!

I liked that Abigail decided that the best way to find out what Mali had planned was to ask John, even though he was a bit reluctant for once. Anyway, Abby was relieved that Mali's reasons for cancelling the trip weren't any more serious. Levi and Mackenzie didn't exactly think their cover story about healthy living through, but did manage to find a way to get the household's over couple out of the way.

David made a good use of his own history to talk to Justin but it didn't exactly land. I think at this point Leah is best off just giving him some space and letting him work things through and hopefully he'll come to her once it's all over. Justin didn't exactly respond well to her turning up at the house.

Holden hangs out with Lacey but she doesn't realise he's seeing her as a potential romantic partner until it's obvious. It's probably going to be a long time before she's over Theo, I think she's still struggling with the idea of ever being with anyone else. I was surprised at her introducing Leah to him as her friend: Who'd have thought they'd be saying that not too long ago?

It was funny about the way Abi got the truth out of John, and once it was out he explained  why he couldn't take her on it now.  Neat idea of Levi to pay for the to have a weekend in a hotel to belatedly celebrate their year anniversary and Mali will be taking charge of her meds. It does give Levi and Mac time to themselves to celebrate their good news.

We find out something  from David's history after Lacey had told him about her overreaction to Holden asking her out.  Holden, of course, wouldn't have known about Theo and how soon it had been since she lost him. Anyways, it seemed David had dated someone six months after  Kristina  had died and it didn't work out.  He gave good advice which Lacey took and she probably felt Holden deserved an explanation for running off.  He took it well and is OK about them just being friends.  I was worried Leah would get the wrong  idea when she saw Lacey and Holden together and accuse Lacey of moving on already., but for once she held back and listened.

Marilyn gave her some flak about her behaviour recently and Leah gave her a proper apology.

Cash is getting himself in deeper and deeper with his secret about Remi's condition and having to lie to Eden and now Remi has paid that  $1,000,000 into his account after getting the not so good news from the specialist.  One thought, is this a joint account, because if so wouldn't Eden be likely to see it?🤔   I can see why Remi doesn't want the op, he's scared of what he may lose, as of course, there would be risks of an op  like that.  Would he still be able to play music, enjoy it like he does now, what other differences to his life would he have to make.  That was a lovely gesture he made and which Leah passed on to Justin.

Kerrie starting to turn really nasty.  She thinks it's a gotcha with Tane, but it isn't.

But I think we all know she's not going to back down without a fight; just as Harper decides enough is enough she's managed to catch Dana with her guard down.

Spectacular McGuffin though; why would Harper - a social worker - leave her laptop unlocked, especially around Kerrie?  Indeed surely if it's a department machine, that security policy will have been implemented by them and be unable to be overridden?  Why wouldn't Kerrie just go on her phone to Google - sorry MySearch Australia - Tane Parata?

I know it's dramatic license but those sort of inconsistencies do my head in.

Dana being way too much with Sonny, I don't blame him for snapping to be honest.

Again I'm thinking back to when this happened in Emmerdale in the 90's. Chris Tate's wife had been driven to an affair and was planning to leave at the very moment the plane came down. She stayed with him out of duty, but he had an affair anyway (and knocked up the mistress in the process - I can't remember whether or not he thought his, er, equipment wouldn't work "properly.") - are we going to see similar here, where Sonny & Dana are pushed to breaking point but Dana will tolerate it so she can play the dutiful girlfriend?

Something's not right about Holden. I know what happens so I've got to be careful here but there's definitely a red flag with this whole "the train crash bought us together" trope.  It would be wildly unrealistic to put Lacey with anyone else at the moment, however.

Getting a bit bored of the slow falling apart of Leah's 256th marriage.  With Ada & James now engaged in real life, you have to assume that neither will be leaving the Bay anytime soon, but I don't see how they patch this one up?  I actually think the problem is Leah is so psychologically messed up (widowed twice, remember!) she's not really admitting her culpability; she blamed Theo's death on Lacey for about 4/5 weeks in-canon treating his girlfriend unforgivably badly, then the Sonny thing went on FOREVER.  Plus, she's never really processed her very unfortunate famous last words.

It’s a shame that the writers aren’t brave enough probably to write a divorce for Justin and Leah I’m bit bored of characters always forgiving each other

I can understand Kerrie she had a bad experience with Harpers dad being controlling and too be honest I don’t really trust Tane not to just vanish with Archie

If Cash is going to be sneaking off to have private chats every few minutes, then he's going to need to come up with a better line of excuses. Especially if he's going to rush off like a scaled cat to tell Levi something that he already knew. So Remi did go to see the specialist and has some idea of what's going on, but seems more interested in getting his affairs in order than trying to stay alive. Will this latest seizure be a wake-up call?

Remi giving the guitar back to Leah and Justin was the least worst thing he could do in the circumstances, but it doesn't do much for my frustration at how all that work has been for nothing and there's no tribute to Theo after all. Leah and Justin have an honest and almost friendly chat but seem no nearer a solution.

It feels like we don't really know Holden well enough for me to care if Lacey's friends with him but it was probably right that she gave him a proper explanation for her reaction. I liked the little moment between her and Leah afterwards and their unspoken acknowledgement that they still have that connection through Theo. I wish them being at odds hadn't happened but at least they've made it back to this place/

I dunno what the Matheson girls did in a previous life but it likely wasn't nearly bad enough to warrant them being saddled with Mummy Dearest.

The only way Leah and Justin stand a chance is if one of gets on a jet for and dips for a month or two.

Yeah but Chris was a prick when he COULD walk (always thought him and Kathy were ill-suited and got together when Jackie was barely cold)

Oh and his performance was apparently enough to conceive Joe and Noah with Rachel and Charity😁
