Medea Fleecestealer Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 Missed all last week as I was away so catching up with what's been happening. Thought Dana had gotten over that fussy fussy thing, but back full force with Sonny. Considering she's a nurse would have thought she'd know better even if it is her boyfriend who's injured. Poor Eddie, not his day was it. Engagement off and no more record deal. Back to being a music teacher I guess. Why is it people ignore their doctor's advice? Come on Remi, you're supposed to be smart. Quote

Red Ranger 1 Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 I didn't think there was a scene missing, as in "filmed but not included in the episode". Obviously, all the conversations about what really happened in the tunnel took place off screen, but we already know, and I guess no-one's immediate reaction was considered important. The last hospital scene just seemed to be about David saying goodbye to Eddie for the most part. I was actually pleasantly surprised that we didn't get David blowing his top and he recognised that Eddie panicking doesn't make him the lowest of the low. I think that thinking he saved her pushed Jo into accepting his proposal when she didn't seem interested before, and learning he didn't made her realise she was in the relationship for all the wrong reasons: Because David wanted it, because Kristina wanted it, because she's trying to recapture something they had two or three years ago and that's never a good idea. While I never felt he and Jo getting back together was smart, I did feel very sorry for Eddie being let down like that by Remi. I hope we hear that he's released that single and been a success, because, even though we know he's dealing with something, I think Remi is overreacting massively and throwing away something that a lot of people have worked hard at. And it's typical of this show to introduce something different from the usual stock scenarios, then decide it takes too much to effort to keep it going and drop it. (There's something very artificial about the way both Jo and Remi cut ties with Eddie on the same day because it's the actor's last episode.) So much for setting up a tribute for Theo, eh? Whilst Kerrie's not the most sincere person, I do think Tane claiming his pre-judgement of her was correct is very much confirmation bias. He's looking for any evidence that he was right and she's not to be trusted, even if she isn't doing herself any favours with the constant victim mentality. Sonny got a lot of sympathy here, with Dana unable to take a hint and stop babying him, and Remi having left him without a friend to talk to her. I'm kind of still hoping we get some follow-up to Dana ordering Remi out of the hospital: She knows he was treated for a head injury, but they don't seem to have talked since then. Nice to see Harper trying to save her from herself, those arguments over Kerrie seem to be largely forgotten! Quote
pembie Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 I do feel Lacey interfered with Jo and Eddie quite abit here just so Tane gets the girl Tane who was married to Felcity she was wild nothing like Jo even Harper she’s more attractive than Jo I would say. Jo is nice but we don’t fancy everyone in life they have very strange in the bay that’s all I’m saying Quote
H&Alover Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 Good reasoning there by Jo, she was getting engaged to Eddie, felt she owed it to him for rescuing her, it was what her dad and mum wanted, NOT what she wanted. Very bad timing Eddie getting dumped by Jo then Remi, but of course he wouldn't know that about Jo. It was good that Remi gave him the recording of the songs he had recorded so he could go somewhere else. I guess it's easy for us to say it was a knee jerk reaction by Remi and he doesn't even know yet if it is cancerous, but not trying not to stereotype he is a bloke and they do behave differently to us women. He may feel if he is likely to die, setting all this up is going to be a waste of time. What's he going to do with the studio? Tane was coming over very judgemental over Kerrie, she is going to have work hard to prove him wrong. I guess Dana has other things to worry about than her mum being in town. I had the feeling Remi hadn't visited or even called Sonny since the train crash and I was right. It was resolved in last night's second episode as was Dana and her mothering Sonny, John had some very wise words for her - BIG hug to him. Not saying too much but in one of those rare cases it really wasn't what it looked like to Justin Nothing to do with ought on here but for some very odd reason channel 32 aka 5* has vanished from Freeview on Friday and Saturday? Red Ranger 1 Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 I have to ask...what does "vanished from Freeview on Friday and Saturday" actually mean? I presume you won't just get a blank screen or redirected to the nearest channel if you type in 32 on those days? We definitely didn't last week. Anyway...Everyone continues to be as bewildered and frustrated at Remi chucking in the towel as I am. He did at least give an explanation that satisfied Sonny, although only Cash got anything approaching the real reason. Has anyone told Justin yet? I was hoping there'd be some acknowledgement from Dana that she was wrong to order Remi out of the hospital but nope, she just has a go at him for not going back. There's no pleasing her sometimes. I'm tempted to say the same about Justin. He won't let Leah visit him, then makes a fuss about her visiting Sonny, as if he expects her to sit at home and pine. Still, if Leah is serious about wanting to repair things with Justin, she should have considered the fact it was going to be a red rag to a bull. Alf is still caught in the middle! There were at least some nice scenes between John and Dana, with him making good use of his history with Jett again. Quote
c120701 Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 I lose 5* occasionally when there’s a weather front, once it settles down it comes back. Quote

When I switch on my TV it the first thing that comes up is the list of all Freeview channels. I skip through the days of the channel 32 I need to record H&A, I hope that makes sense. Anyways as I said for some odd reason I can't do it for tomorrow or Saturday, not just channel 32 either. All it does is just go back that days actual programme. Very confused.com. Does 'come back' Sunday and next week so I can now record it. Quote
H&Alover Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 Not being sexist I hope, but Remi is being a typical bloke about it and as I said before he doesn't yet know if it is cancerous. Cash has now got a heavy load on his shoulders by being sworn to secrecy. Eden, of course, knows something isn't right with her old friend, but Remi knows what she is like and she'd be fussing over him which he so wouldn't want. I guess the fewer people know about it the less chance it is going to get out. Remi, at last, went to see Sonny and was blaming himself, but as Sonny said it was his idea for them to join the train. There were loads of people already on it which was nothing to do with them. Nice offer of Remi to get Sonny in a private hospital but Sonny said he's fine where he is and he trusts his docs. We know the truth of why Leah was visiting Sonny, only just having heard about it, she was apologising for having leant on him so hard and then ironically she was giving him the same advice he gave to her about pushing their loved one away and just took his hand to comfort him just as Justin happens to walk by and gets totally the wrong idea. On that subject did Justin know about Sonny's condition? Perhaps he needs to talk to Sonny about what he saw and he thought what was going on. To be fair to Dana, she has got other things on her mind. Wouldn't want to be Alf, he's known Leah longer than Justin,, but they are both friends. He'd be a good in between. That was a lovely scene between John and Dana but I thought she already knew about Jett or was it someone else he told? It did prompt her to go back and see Sonny and they agreed they should just be honest and not make any plans or be 'strong' for each other, just take it one day at a time. Confused.com again. It was raining at Cash and Eden's place but at the same time when Levi and Mac saw Leah on the beach it was sunny. I know it can be raining on one side of the street and dry on the other, but that must be very rare. Again, hopefully not giving anything away, but Mac totally overreacts. Quote
