H&Alover Posted March 1 Report Posted March 1 Well done Red, you spotted my deliberate error. It was indeed eight years since Jett's accident. Thankfully no permanent damage done to Jo's internal organs. David, Lacey and Lacey must have been a bit pongy after two days, I'm guessing they did step out to go to the loo and have a quick wash down? In David and Lacey's case no-one to bring them fresh clothes. My 'y senses re Eddie have been twitching for a while, but in Lacey's case for different reasons. His explanation as to why he left Jo didn't ring true to Lacey, did she have her doubts about him back when they were dating before? Not giving nuffin away but Tane is the better man in the next episode. I suppose the rescue workers, having done their job, went back to base, wrote up whatever they had to write up and got on with their lives until the next time. It isn't looking good for Sonny and he's trying to put a brave front on it, but no-one has said, yet, that is is going to be permanent. Dana planning the future, looking for a new place to live as he'd never manage the stairs up to the flat, but getting way ahead of herself. Prompted John to ring Jett to see how's he's going. All Tane saw was seeing Kerrie holding Archie and Marilyn not there, but we know she was only gone a couple of seconds, so to him it would look like she was alone with him. Kerrie did get caught out on her lies, as she told Harper, Tane snatched Archie off Marilyn and threatened he'd take him off Harper, but we know that wasn't the case. Kerrie did spin her story to Maz and we know what a softie Maz is when it comes to a sob story. Kerrie may have been controlled or so she says and keeps insisting Tane is controlling Harper but we know no way is that the case. Anyways the truth does come out in the next episode. But Alf did have to step in. Quote

Red Ranger 1 Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 Jo finally gets filled on one pertinent piece of information and the only thing Lacey knows for sure: Eddie got out way before her and it was Tane that saved her. Jo sprucing herself up for Tane's visit is instructive. It's hard to get a read on Tane's feelings here. He doesn't seem to want to be the one to drop Eddie in it but he's perfectly happy for Eddie to do it himself. So, the basic answer to how Tane ended up with Archie is...Marilyn's an idiot? Both Tane and Harper seemed to ask a few leading questions and Marilyn didn't really offer any sort of alternative explanation: Did she just assume Harper knew Tane was picking him up? Whilst I think leaving Archie with her while Tane and Harper went to chat to Kerrie was the best thing to do, Marilyn suggesting it and then fawning over Archie afterwards left me feeling she's done it for selfish reasons. Mali and Abigail's scenes were pure "These characters are contracted to appear this week so let's give them a one episode storyline that's quickly resolved", but there was some good characterisation in there. James Martin Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 Was there a scene cut (for timing, not at Channel 5's end) when David and Lacey returned to NDH? It all just seemed a bit abrupt, like some dialogue was going to follow on from David walking into Jo's side room? I'm assuming that's the end of Eddie then? And is David going to chill if she does choose Tane, knowing he stayed in the wreckage to save her? It feels like it's gone on forever. Elsewhere, AFL starts this week in Australia, which reduces the amount of episodes shown with just a single bill on Thursday nights, so there's a chance that we will get quite close to Australia in the next couple of months as it's a 24 week season. Currently we're exactly 6 weeks behind, with the UK seeing 8642 and Australia seeing 8672 on Monday. Seven will, of course, backload heavily as I'm reliably informed that despite the Commonwealth Games, this is a full 230 episode season. However in the short term expect the 6 week gap to narrow a little. Quote

Living in Hope we get at least a week behind like we were in 2000, I'd even take a Fortnight. Quote

H&Alover Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 I thought that, about us missing something, as David did seem very laid back when he found out the truth about Eddie leaving Jo. I thought he'd really flip out seeing as he thought Eddie was such a good guy. Have we really seen the end of Eddie? Other circumstances have derailed him - sorry for the unintentional pun - regarding his future though so it may well be. Jo will need to get her feelings straight first before she embarks on any sort of relationship with Tane. Harper has been very firm that Kerrie should try and get on with Tane for Archie's sake if nothing else. She does know Tane better than her mum does. But Tane will have to put his feelings about Kerrie aside first. Finally Abi revealed why she didn't want to stay at home and rest, she's scared she'll go looking for the meds Levi has prescribed for her. I know some don't agree abut I think Mali and Abi are a good pairing. I wouldn't have said Marilyn was an idiot, didn't someone tell Tane Kerrie was at the Diner with Archie and Harper left Archie in Marilyn's care, and I'm guessing was going to take him home with her after her shift if Harper hadn't come back. Marilyn was just giving her POV as to what was occurring. We saw Sonny and Dana lapsing into Leah mode, fussing over him and making plans for when he got out of hospital. Btw have his mum and dad been informed about his accident/condition? I did wonder if Remi had been to see him, even if off screen, but it appears not, not even a text, call. Quote
