Red Ranger 1 Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 Well, onto 8637. After the previous episode did a good job of keeping all the balls in the air, this one kind of dropped some of them.It was ridiculous that there was no follow-up on Justin being rushed into surgery with life-threatening injuries, and Abigail disappeared too although she at least got a "She was here but I'm not sure where she is now." Did she actually walk out of the hospital when she wandered off before the nurse came back? On the flipside, Harper's text to Dana was a nice way of involving characters without using up an episode. So Jo's out of the train but not out of the woods by any means. I'm trying not to be too hard on Eddie, but getting her out would have been a lot easier with two. I guess it underlines Lacey's comments at the end of last season about him not being someone willing to fight for Jo, just be there during the good times. (Incidentally, has anyone told the organisers of the tempting fate Off-the-Rails event that a bunch of their acts and attendees went, well, off the rails?) What the hell was up with Dana? Having a go at the doctor for leaving Sonny is typical stressed loved one behaviour, but why the hell is she treating Remi like the devil incarnate for not telling her what was going on sooner, as if she's the centre of the universe now? It just came across as her looking for an excuse to be nasty to someone. Technically she wasn't on duty but kicking out a casualty who hasn't been checked over for no reason whatsoever is pretty poor behaviour either way. On the plus side, there were theories that the crash would heap more misery on Mackenzie by having her lose the embryo, but instead it seems to have gone the other way and she finds out she's pregnant! Hopefully this good news won't turn into misery next week... The driver definitely isn't dead, the police have spoken to him about what happened and are waiting for drug and alcohol tests to clear him, although we find out there's three more dead in addition to Isaac. 4 hours ago, H&Alover said: May be picky but isn't Tane Cash's ex brother-in-law? Not really. We've been told he and Felicity never divorced and he hasn't remarried. Quote

pembie Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 (edited) Has anyone here ever been to a platform party? Are they are real thing? Leah I think she deserves to have messed things up with Justin maybe cruel but there you go Felt sorry for the guy who got knocked back by everyone when he tried to chat them up suprised not too see Tane on the train speaking of Tane or more so Jo I don’t think she suits neither Tane or Eddie as much chemistry as a plank of wood with both of them Edited February 25 by pembie Quote
James Martin Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Two episodes for the price of one for me tonight. 3 hours ago, pembie said: Felt sorry for the guy who got knocked back by everyone when he tried to chat them up. Not the best way to leave this world! Interestingly we basically got confirmation there were multiple fatalities, but it's only this guy who we know didn't survive. We've not met any of the other deceased passengers. I counted 4 body bags. Eddie's cowardice is going to come back to bite him. All that expositional dialogue at the end of 2025 might just have had a point. David's done everything he can to push them back together, but he hasn't questioned why Eddie didn't fight for her last time and just walked away when she broke it off. Does that family need any more grief though? After Christina and Theo it's rotten luck that Jo might die as well. Remi's tumour is a curveball and may well derail (sorry) plans for Back On Track (were the producers were trolling us with that name all along?) but I feel this was a missed opportunity for a "survivor guilt" storyline, which is where it felt like it was initially heading. Justin refusing to let Leah in; has her epihany come too late? Definitely a case of "oh damn the victims only have 3 episodes each" - on Monday the fallout from Justin's injuries weren't explored and then yesterday we'd forgotten that Jo might be on death's door. Interested to know where the Abby arc is going. I thought I'd just sprained my hand just before Covid but the pain was so intense that I had it checked out; turned out I had a Y fracture. She's 100% got a fracture. That said, the second/third episodes of 2026, Monday/2nd in particular were seriously triggering. A hard watch in places. I'm assuming the train hasn't gotten that far if the injured all got taken back to NDH. Quote
H&Alover Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Both Justin and Remi seem to be vying for the who has been admitted to ND's the most. Do they not have General wards in ND's, everyone, excluding those who need to be isolated, get their own room, same as UK soaps where a cast member has been admitted to hospital. Dana did morph into angry relative mode, berating that doctor who was trying to tell her Sonny wasn't as urgent as some others who were being brought in. Was he given a personal alarm in case Dana got physical? One of the downsides of being a medic as they tend to know more about what the patient could be going through rather than your average relative/friend Sonny was taking it pretty calmly under the circumstances. Remi, is already blaming himself for absolutely no reason, he didn't drag anyone onto the train- survivor guilt? Does the fact Felicity died change Tane's relationship to Cash as in still being his brother-in-law? There is a reason why Abi left hospital without getting help/treatment and when you find out why it makes a lot of sense. Again I'm not making excuses for Eddie for leaving Jo but maybe he'd been trapped like that before and panicked? We have been left in the balance about how Jo is dong, the last we saw was David going into her room where Lacey was sitting by her bed. He finally took Cash's advice and left the station. Mac was SOOO excited about finding out she was pregnant. Dr. Chappel didn't say how far along she was, would he be able to tell and it is the IVF or a natural conception? Leah whining to Alf that Justin wouldn't let her in -doh - that's what you've been doing to him for the last couple of months. Leah does tend to overfuss when someone is in hospital, plumping their pillows, stroking heir heads, she has done it many times with Justin and Theo. Not good news for Remi, luckily he was found quickly. Quote
Psychic Wombat Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Sigh, only a matter of time before someone gets cancer in Summer Bay Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Cancer cluster strikes again. There's definitely an irony in Leah asking Justin not to push her away when it's been the other way round for weeks. It's a shame that she seems to have left it just too late: Even in finale week, Justin still seemed to be hoping things would go back to how they were, but by the time he got on that train I think he'd finally been pushed too far and just doesn't care any more. Hopeflly it won't be too long before they both get on the same page! It's a shame Dana wasn't in the episode to see Remi get rushed back into hospital after she kicked him out. I can understand him being a bit too overwhelmed to take it all in at the moment - and I think there probably is some survivors' guilt mixed in there somewhere - but again, I'm hoping he doesn't take too long to get properly checked out. It was beginning to look as though Mackenzie wasn't going to get to tell Levi about her pregnancy this week but she got there in the end! Okay, we at least get an explanation for why Abby doesn't want to see a doctor and it made sense, which is a relief because otherwise her continually going "I'm fine" while obviously in a world of pain was just dumb. pembie Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Yes another stupid cancer story oh well make the episodes shorter skipping that story I expect Remi will be ok Quote
c120701 Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Did Leah bring Justin the books for the garage? Not sure that’ll help, it’s probably in a worse state than him right now. 2 Quote
