I've collected a few over the years that I've picked up over the years, most of them from Op Shops in Australia. I've no idea where some of them are now though (probably in my parents garage or donated to an op shop!):

  • I've got those early novels - Frank and Bobby, Carly's Crisis, Dangerous Ride and Family Affair. I read them when I was about 10 years old, when I first found them at an op shop.
  • A H&A "Special" that came out around 1990. I can't remember much about it since I've probably not look at it in over 25 years, but I remember it had Roo, Frank, Tom and Carly on the cover and there was a whole article about Tom's exit.
  • The Behind the Scenes book written by James Oram. He also wrote a a similar Neighbours one, which I also had.
  • The 21st anniversary magazine that TV Week produced.

The Back to the Bay website has more details about all/most of the books that have been released:

It's interesting there is a Matt Wilson backstory given how uneventful he was a character, and a story that sounds equally uninteresting and irrelievant. I knew the book existed, but I always assumed the story focused on his brother's death! I've not read any of the novels that cover the characters' backstories, but I also recall Neighbours producing some that covered the backstories of the Ramsays and the Robinsons. It's quite for both stories to write them though, since it makes future retcons/stories more difficult, even if they might not officially be part of the show's onscreen canon.
