Does anyone happen to know the date that Meg Bowman's death was shown in the UK?  I know it was in either November or December 1992 but would be interested to know the exact date?

I recently acquired some unlabelled VHS tapes with early 90s content and this episode plus some of the ones surrounding it have appeared alongside non H&A content so it would be good to know the date of Meg's death so I can pinpoint the date of the other tape content.

PS, can anyone remind me what the episode number of Meg's death is? Pls.

The episode guides on this site are very helpful. @Red Ranger 1 has already posted a link to the episode where Meg died, so you can work backwards from there.

Another way to do it is to look at Cathy Godbold's credits on IMDB. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0323734/?ref_=fn_t_1 That will give you the episodes where she appeared as Meg. You won't get the UK broadcast dates there though.

I'm not sure what it is you're looking for after this?

Yep, the episode guides are pretty accurate - two separate people over the last decade or so went to extraordinary lengths to work out the UK broadcast dates of the ITV era so they're definitely accurate.

Am I right in saying it's the highest rated episode ever in Australia?

It's not the highest in the UK but there was huge publicity around it.  Still one of the most difficult episodes to watch, but one of the most iconic, which is incredible when you consider Meg wasn't a main cast member so there wasn't the emotional investment the audience had made in the principals over time.

Out of interest, I'm assuming the episode was recorded off air from ITV.  Which region?  Genuinely I'd be interested to see the continuity/presentation around it.
