I'd say it was a pragmatic decision. No school = one less set to worry about. From what I've read about H&A in times past, working with teenagers had its challenges. It's likely they don't want to work with young, immature, and inexperienced actors. It's much easier to have a set of actors who know what they're doing, or ambitious people who see H&A as a stepping stone to better things.

It’s shame we didn’t get to see Bella finish school but she was the only regular character left at school and with Colby exit storyline about to start and having relationship with Nikau they wanted her to grow up faster.

I'm pretty sure she dropped out of school. We didn't see the school after 2019. I'm sure she dropped out and went to TAFE. I do recall Dean paying for a course for her which she didn't go to for a while...can't remember if she did in the end.

Yes she did go but just wasn’t seen on screen.

It’s strange because she had already had a repeat year so what was the point of her needing to repeat a year if they were going to have her drop out of school a few months later.

Bella's character and her storylines really were all over the place and it’s no wonder people like Colby/Irene/Dean/Willow all had trouble with helping her. It makes you wonder if Colby may have been better off just giving up on finding her especially given what eventually happened to him.
