It would be great - we have a selection of episodes on the H&A Classics channel, but even then it's not On Demand. I guess the problem is that many of us rewatched 1988 last year on 7Plus (and possibly on something in the UK too?) and I understand 1989-1995 may be available elsewhere, so we'd be waiting a very long time to see the "new" episodes.

I'm mostly keen to see 1996-2000, since that was the era I first engaged with and I've not seen most of that era (other than what's been on 7Plus) since they originally aired.

I'd love to see this. YouTube would be perfect, because it'd make it available to fans all over the world. As far as I know, only people in the UK were able to watch Season 1 and 2 when they were added to Amazon Prime. I don't like the idea of old TV shows being locked up forever, never to be seen again. Uploading Home and Away episodes to YouTube would give them a new lease of life and perhaps add to the fanbase. As we all know, many episodes can be found online but often with poor quality bitrates. People must be uploading them for a reason. If they set up an official YouTube channel, couldn't they monetise it?

The Early Years broadcast pretty much kicked off an era of returnees/nostalgia in the early 2000s, so maybe it even have that influence again.

Most of the original characters are irrelevant in the current show or the actors have quit acting, but it might do something? Maybe someone Brett Macklin could be revived for a villain story or something?

I don't think it matters either way. There are a lot of people who watched Home and Away at a certain time of their life and they might like to see old episodes again. Or they might like to pick up where they left off, or at another point down the line. Either might give them a taste for watching the present day. Is anybody watching the present day show really bothered about what went before?
