To be fair over his life he’s probably spent more time with Irene, Marilyn, Dana, Sonny, Cash & even Alf combined than either of his parents.

Well no he hasn't if Tane and Harper hadn't been able to look after him which was rare, others did look  after him but that happens in real life. A small community like the Bay do look out for others.

In Fridays' second episode Kerrie was to me  coming across as a tad controlling suggesting Tane was being the controlling one, she obviously doesn't know her daughter.  Dana tried to keep that news from Tane, but crumbled later. I suppose it was better than him just meeting her at the motel. I thought she had gone home the night before but appears she's back again. 🤔

It's sad that Sonny isn't there for Dana, he would give her his usual good advice and a much needed hug.  Anyways  plans for Harper and Archie moving into the Diner flat have been scuppered.

That was so unlike Leah snapping at Alf like she did, he thinks of her as another surrogate  daughter.  She, Leah, can't make her mind up, Justin is  giving her space like she wanted but that's wrong too.   Maz suggesting she ring him was a good idea, but as we saw she rang Sonny. Wil he answer her or ignore it? I'm rather glad Roo isn't about she'd definitely be sticking her oar in.

Levi and Mac do seem in a good place and Mac has decided not to say anything this time round.  But things could be derailed - saying no more.

I don't really know what word I'd use to describe Kerrie's behaviour but it did seem like she had a firm idea of what she wanted to do and wasn't really listening to anyone. Harper made a few attempts to put her foot down with her but kept backing off. I'm not sure Dana really helped by running around saying the sky was falling in: She did manage to bite her tongue when Tane first spoke to her, but a bit of guilt-tripping later she was presenting him with worst case scenarios again and just making things even more tense. Is she really that desperate to keep Kerrie away from Archie that she'll risk herself and Harper losing him? It's lucky Eden was there to stop the latest round of Tane and Harper playing "disappearing with Archie" tag, practising for her hostage negotiation no doubt! Harper didn't really help by reassuring Tane and then going back on everything she promised, going from promising that Kerrie was going and wouldn't see Archie to letting her stick around and agreeing to ask Tane in a matter of hours. Might of helped to have rung him and got in before Dana, but maybe she was on her way there already.

Mackenzie says that things are falling into place for her and Levi to do the implantation straightaway. Gosh, yes, you'd think it was finale week. Eden has apparently cottoned on. "Hmm, a journey with a load of the main cast to an ominous sounding event in the last week of the year? Yeah, that's a hard pass from me."

I've ended up falling two days behind because reasons, but that allows me to drop back and watch the Season Finale as a triple bill on Thursday.

Consequently I've only watched Thursday (5*/Stream Pace) today but making such a big deal out of Mac & Levi having sex suggests to me there may be consequences; let's hope it's a happy ending this time.

As I've said in the C5 TX thread; on Virgin the episodes due to air/drop on Tuesday-Thursday are being shown as 3 separate episodes but they've been labeled as S38 E228 Pts 1-3, which suggests to me they've been designed to be watched in one sitting but have been split up for the International market.

Well tbh anything involving Levi and/or Mac + Sex, There's always a consequence!

Anyhoo...

Quad City DJs "C'Mon Ride the Train" playing in promos would have been perfect marketing for the seaskn finale then a big record scratch then some dramatic music hits with serious V/O and closeups and flashes to black  😁😂

Kerrie suddenly saying her husband Warwick was controlling her which was why the way she was did come across as an excuse and now she's doing the same thing She suggested Harper get her solicitor involved which Harper wisely ignored.  It was very to and fro with Harper panicking that Tane had 'snatched' Archie again and  him not knowing what to do.  Luckily both Eden and Cash stepped in to stop him and to persaude him to ring her.  He finally did ring  her and they spoke.  Anyways Kerrie finally gets to meet her grandson but Harper has firmly told her she won't be left alone with him.  Kerrie not happy discovering Cash was a cop and a friend of Harper's.

Jo is still torn as to who she wants to be with, IMHO, if she's not sure she shouldn't be with either of them.  I don't know how old Eddie and  Jo were when they first got together but if in their teenage years or early 20's coupes that age do break up for whatever reason then get back together years later and it works.  Lovely story by David saying to Jo he knew right away Kristina was the one for him, even passing up on promotion for her.  Awkward conversation Jo and Tane had then he saw her with Eddie who I still have doubts about.

The number of people going on the train is growing, Jo persuading  Lacey to join them, I'm guessing Eden is one of them, Abi,  Dana, Justin, Remi and Sonny of course.   Depending on how far away it is when 'it' happens will we be seeing Alf in his orange suit?

Another change to the opening credits now Bree has gone, surprised we haven't seen one of Sonny and Dana together now they are  a couple.  Mac could indeed get pregnant naturally even though she was told it would be highly unlikely with her condition.

Going  off on a complete   tandem  but why are there no blond  guys in the bay?🤔

As I think I said last time this came up, I believe the episodes were split into three for streaming in Oz. They're all individually numbered (apart from on Virgin, apparently, who are a law unto themselves about these things), although that doesn't necessarily mean anything. UK soaps have a tendency to give two numbers to hour-long episodes.

Having seen the first two episodes of this block, maybe I'm suffering from confirmation bias, but it just feels like it's being plotted like any other "week" (even if no-one shows it like that anymore, apart from the 6pm 5Star showing and apparently RTE), with plot threads that are going to continue into the third episode but won't last all the way to the finale. It doesn't feel like they're designed to be watched in one sitting any more than any other three episodes that Channel 7 chooses together. It feels more like, even though they knew there was a good chance they'd be shown like that, the production team just went "Here's the next five episodes, show them however you like."

Anyway, onto the actual episode. Tane was being a twit again and it's probably a good job Eden was there to play peacemaker because Cash had obviously run out of patience with him. Again. Kerrie's not the first suddenly returned parent to try and blame the other party for her absence, although Harper doesn't seem entirely convinced. Tane seemed to do a bit of a 180 there, going from trying to keep Archie away from both Harper and Kerrie to agreeing to Kerrie meeting Archie with only the condition that they're not left alone. Kerrie did seem genuinely pleased to see him, maybe she sees this as a second chance?

Lacey finally gave David pause in his attempts to force Eddie and Jo back together, with him starting to realise that just because he likes Eddie, that doesn't necessarily make him the best person for Jo. I did find Lacey's argument not entirely convincing, even though it's obviously coloured by her feelings towards Theo: I think walking away when asked was probably the best thing Eddie could do, and that doesn't mean he's not committed now. I do feel though that Jo isn't at all committed. Tane might think she's chosen Eddie, but I think that she'd still be stringing them both along if Tane hadn't cut things off.

I don't know if that list of festival attendees came from the streaming episode, because as of today's 6pm episode, Lacey's said no, Eden's said no and Abby doesn't seem to have been asked.

The finale 'telemovies' are actually the only ones they do upload as a single triple episode on 7Plus. But yeah, other than that and a few scene switcharounds like you've previously mentioned, there's not much difference to the viewing experience, and no 'intended' way to watch. They're still produced as three single episodes like all the others.

Ah, okay. Sorry, I've obviously either got that wrong or I'm out of date on that one. I did wonder why Oz pace viewers didn't seem to be aware of exactly how the international releases went.

Very polite there Red calling Tane a twit, thought to be fair to him he's going by what both Harper and Dana told him about their upbringing  and finding it hard that Harper is so willing to give Kerrie another chance.   Harper was very firm that Kerrie wouldn't be allowed to left alone with Archie, let's hope she keeps to it.

David seeing Eddie coming out of Jo's bedroom made him blink, but they are both adults and  hopefully taking precautions.  He, David, did seem to have listened to Lacey because when Eddie asked about him giving his blessing/permission to ask Jo to marry him, David said it's not up to him and it's Jo's choice, which Eddie appeared to be take back by.  An interesting point David wondering where Eddie suddenly disappeared to after Jo broke up with him. Is he going into Cash  mode and check him  out for the two years he wasn't around?

Leah was spiralling again in ep 2  - 6.30pm edition.
