Moving onto today and I'm not sure anyone should be getting on this party train.  This is Home & Away, not Thomas The Tank Engine.

Given what has happened on Sodor's rails over the years in the stories I'm surprised anyone still bought tickets!😂😁

And Leah's back in... "'king Annoying mode."™️

However the Langhams bonding cancelled out all for the minute. I'd love to know WHAT movie it was that was so bad!

Wonder if Justin and Leah are going to break over her continuing grief over Theo.

That'd be that straw that broke the camel's back for a lot of people, tbh.

It's all very much in "ramping up to the Season Finale" mode now, which we will see in 3 parts between Tuesday and Thursday next week.  Mad to think we'll be onto 2026 at the end of next week.

The record label back on track ok so maybe but a music festival called Off the rails somebody’s having a laugh on the writing team it’s like something you would write into a comedy story

None of the characters have thought for a second either is this foreshadowing something maybe?

I didn’t realise we were so close to the finale I was busy covering my ears though every time Leah speaks god she’s a bad character lol I really don’t see what Justin sees in her

I think Lacey is much better now away from Theo She and Jo are quite good together I’m not so sure about Jo now though

I saw 'Bree' had been dropped  from Friday's opening credits.

Not all of us want to know anything about the party train thank you.

Wendell did indeed plead guilty but it would depend on how good a defence lawyer/barrister he had.  If, like here, if no trial it would rest on the judge's shoulders to make the decision how long  he was sent down for.   He would have seen the VIS' s Lacey, Jo, David, Leah and Cassandra would have made. I think it was David who said the decision could be made that day or a couple of days which Leah wasn't happy about but the judge has to look at it objectively. Anyways  the right decision was made.  It depends on what the Aus courts count as being sent down for a 'long time' as David called  it.  Leah also wasn't happy about how the Langham's felt able to move on when she can't, obviously forgetting they lost a wife/mother  to Wendell and have suffered two years of pain not knowing who caused Kristine's death.

I don't want to be one of those people who say "Oh so and so wouldn't want you to be unhappy" but Theo wouldn't want Leah to keep shutting Justin out and want her to be live her life as normal.

Ok Leah was partly right about Justin when Theo first arrived, he wasn't happy with him and the way he behaved, he did do a lot of wild things, but once Justin got to know the real Theo he loved him as a son  and supported him in everything he did, even faking Theo's assignment though Theo had twigged what he'd done.

Justin has gone through what Leah has, he lost his mum and dad to gangsters who killed them in front of his eyes, then he lost Mason in the siege at ND's.

Sonny does keep trying to break away from Leah, but he's too tender hearted for his own good.  Mind you, he's going to have his hands full pretty soon looking after Dana. 🤫🤐🙊

Leah  stopped bullying Lacey after the VIS's.

Cash, on Tane's behest, was subtly asking David about Eddie and how good a guy he was, David who did seem to think the sun shone out of Eddie's rear end - no-one is that perfect, gave him the 👍 so Cash had to break it to Tane he'd missed the boat as far as Jo was concerned.

I think both Leah and Justin are showing an unfortunate lack of empathy for each other, with both of them seeming to assume that their way of grieving is right. Justin shouldn't be trying to get Leah to hurry up and be happy again if she's not ready yet, and Leah shouldn't be deciding that Justin didn't care about Theo because he's not sad enough. And Sonny really shouldn't be letting Leah latch onto him as the one person she's decided is still grieving just because he's doing a nodding dog act and buying into her delusions: This is one occasion where him being an objective sounding board is feeding the problem, and I'm glad Remi set him right when he believed Leah's nonsense.

I'm finding David's attempts to manage his daughter's love life a little bit creepy. He's acting like a Victorian patriarch who's decided who Jo's going to marry and doesn't seem to grasp the idea that she might have an opinion of her own. That is, of course, assuming that Jo does have an opinion: She seems to still have an attraction to Tane but doesn't seem to be forcing things with Eddie, so it feels like she just likes whoever's there at the time. To be objective, I think David is partly influenced by the fact that Kristina seems to have wanted Jo and Eddie to get married but he does need to back off. Tane asking Cash to sound out David about Jo's love life was absurd...and then Cash actually did it!

Getting on a train as part of an event called Off the Rails when there's a season cliffhanger coming does feel a bit like naming your boat the Titanic. So, yes, season finale end of next week for those of us watching at 6pm. Hopefully there'll be a new thread for those who are starting 2026 that day and they won't get confused and post in here.

I can't stop Remi bigging up a train based music festival due to take place next week, I'm simply saying that next week we also happen to hit the season finale.

Maybe if Sonny is on the train working for Back On Track, Leah will get on too.  Choo choo Thomas! 😜

I'm more bothered that...

Spoiler

The Leah and Justin saga is STILL going on in Australia.

...but that might not be for this thread.

What are we going to do with 2026 episodes?  Will a new thread open on Friday and if you're still wedded to the Potatovision linear 6pm screening, don't go in if you don't want to know who is compromised, either to a permanent end or otherwise?  I think it's fair to say this won't be a 2004 season finale! 😂

I  watch the 6.30pm episode so have to be careful what I put on here.

Leah and Justin are seeing things from completely different points of view.  Leah does take things Justin says the wrong way and it must be tiring to think before you speak in case your other half thinks you don't get what they are going through.  Justin has decided to give Leah 'space' which of course she'll take the wrong way.

Today we're on episodes 8628 and 8629.  I have asked before which episode we should be watching to keep on track with the rest of yous.  Episode 8635 is  the Aus finale.

David is guilt tripping Jo about Eddie saying he's glad it looks like they could be getting back together.  While she's not thinking/saying it's not a bad idea, she still has feelings for Tane.  Lacey is a good sounding board for her.

Jo continues to make her life more and more complicated, sleeping with Eddie and then going back to sharing longing looks with Tane immediately afterwards. It still feels like Tane is more clued in than Eddie (who probably thinks Jo and Tane just had coffee a couple of times). Lacey combined teasing and insightful comments. Tane's shut things down but I'm wondering to what extent having things to worry about with Harper is just an excuse. Until the closing scenes, it felt like he was more bothered about Jo looking elsewhere than he was about being separated from Archie. I wonder if his railing at Mali was because he and John had reached the wrong conclusion.

All speed ahead for Off the Rails then. (Seriously, just call it Death Train and have done with it.) Justin seems to have decided to go from one extreme to the other and just avoid Leah, partly because he's done his three episodes! Remi should forget about the studio and just turn that place into a free hotel...

Death Train sounds like something that would have flopped in Cinemas c.1994 but would have made a Killing on Video.

Or they could turn the studio into another drop-in centre😁
