It continues to be one step forward one step back with Leah (or more). She has at least moved on from hating Lacey (who got a nice scene with Sonny here of the kind Leah should be having) but she continues to cling on to Sonny as some sort of substitute and is now deluding herself that it's Sonny who can't cope without her, ignoring the actual words he's saying.

I'm not sure David's commitment to Team Eddie really goes beyond the history and preferring any alternative to Tane. He probably thinks he's doing what's best for Jo, but it feels like his touching story just confused the issue. I think Jo's either taking the safe option (as Lacey seemed to suggest in her rather muddled assessment of the subject) or doing it because she thinks it's what her mother would want. As has been pointed out, her initial query still stands: If her and Eddie's relationship wasn't strong enough to survive her grief, then being married or engaged wouldn't make a difference and there's no telling that they'd still be together either way.

Cash did at least have a reason for objecting to Eden volunteering, which feels like it needed more discussion than Eden's dogmatic "Well, I'm doing it" (with David thrown under the bus as an excuse). I'm not sure it entirely holds up: It feels like anyone so inclined could find out Eden was Cash's wife whether she was working with the police or not. But yeah, Cash has crossed a line in going to David behind her back.

GR to Bree! The Woman just... wound me up, you know?

Now if Remi can do one, next, it's all gravy!

I thought I was the only one who didn’t like Bree

I think Remi is ok though lol

I think Leah is a awful character I don’t know about Lacey taking out AVO against her I think the whole town should take one out against her haha

Oh yes, I loved John calling the youngsters "zoomers", I do that! And nice that Lacey invited him to the barbecue too.

Oh, and Mackenzie really did organise the worst farewell dinner ever. She didn't even bother to invite Bree's old flatmate, who had no idea she was going!

Cash does think with his heart rather than his head sometimes but Eden has been in dangerous situations a couple of times and something like this volunteering programme may put her in more direct danger and  he knows how the program works there so knows what's involved.   But as she/David said she'd be working  at the courts/hospitals not the  station.  I did like how David shut them both down by saying he wasn't going to get caught in the middle.  We are all jumping the  gun somewhat as Eden hasn't even had an interview or been taken through what it  involves.  I dare say there will be a  course she'd  have to take to see if  she's suitable.  She did make one very valid point about that every timed Cash goes out on  a job, she doesn't know if he will come back in one piece or if at all.

David was pushing Jo to get back  together with Eddie and as you said Red there was no guarantee they would have stayed together even  if Kristine hadn't died.

That was a lovely scene with Lacey and Sonny talking about Theo.  Leah would not be the right one to talk to about how he misses Theo, it should be Dana or indeed even Lacey.  I agree Leah has switched from wanting to talk to  Sonny about how she is feeling to how he must be feeling because  he left that photo.

That was oversight on Mac's part not inviting Lacey to Bree's leaving do, but and I  may be wrong wasn't it the same time as the barbecue?

As we saw Leah has now taking her anger out on David because  of the delay on Wendell's hearing, it's not his fault they haven't heard anything, that's down to the court, he's frustrated/angry  himself.

Stop! If I start cackling on the bus, I'll probably get hauled off to the looney bin!😂 But you have a point. It's too bad Irene isn't there to literally shake some sense into her telling her "Get a grip, Girlie!"

He was bearable until he started obsessing over Bree. That kind of tore out the last bit of respect for him I had and it was thin at best.

The Sum total of her, Lyrik and the Heather mess almost broke me as a fan in 2022. S***, 2022 nearly broke me!

No, it was the previous day/night.

Alf's episode count this week:Three.

I do have some sympathy for Leah. There's an unfortunate tendency in society to sympathise with someone when they first lose someone, but after an arbitrary amount of time start going "Oh, are you still going on about that?" I think Leah has a perfect right to carry on missing Theo, and it's not even like she's shut herself away, she's at least making an effort to get out and engage with people. It's a shame though that she's got into this mindset that, because Justin's not grieving in the same way as her, that means they can't support each other, and she'd rather stalk Sonny and convince herself that he's in the same place as her instead.

Well, so much for David pretending the conversation never happened, he was very quick to tell Eden about it! Eden was rather premature in telling Levi and Abigail that she was definitely going to be volunteering, which Levi even picked up on. But okay, Cash has realised that he can't obsess over protecting Eden from any vague possibility of being in danger and decided to support her, so hopefully that's the end of that conversation.

Mali finally decided to man up and admit his difficulties to Levi, even if he did move from avoiding him to making excuses. But in the end he managed to find a way through it and get inspiration so all good.

A very abrupt shift from David trying to find out about the sentencing to learning it's now, but at least it gives us a hook into the next episode!

Did you get thrown off the bus or didn’t you make it home? Had you been anywhere interesting?

No. I was on my way back to work for the afternoon shift. Tell you what, *that* probably would have made a much more interesting day!😂

Was using a bit of poetic licence there.
