Leah never wears glasses and then suddenly needs to wear glasses to read her statement.  And a pretty unflattering pair of specs they were too.  Must have grabbed them off of one of the film crew when the director decided she needed to wear glasses.  🤪

Still at least she did step up and managed to do the recording.  Maybe a watershed moment for her to start getting over Theo's loss.

Leah and Lacey both gave a good credit of themselves here. Despite her combatative attitude coming in, Leah managed to be polite to Lacey, and it felt like there was a moment of rapprochement when she finally acknowledged there was only one person to blame for Theo's death. They're probably not going to be as close as they were, but if Leah can be in the same space as her without directing a rant at her, that's progress. She hasn't really moved on from using Sonny as a crutch but it's nice that Justin and Dana are both understanding.

Dana was right, Bree did need to tell Remi she might be going rather than letting him hear it from someone else. He handled it well at first, but if he hasn't crossed a line at the end, then he's close to it.

We have seen Leah wearing glasses before, only needs them for reading like a lot of people.

We did see a lot more with Leah and Lacey depending if you've  watched  episode 8616 or 8617. so won't say more.  She did admit it was Wendell who was responsible for Theo's death.   It showed a real turn around for Leah. not that she will be really out of the woods yet emotionally.

Yes, Leah apologising to Lacey was a lot more than I was expecting! I'm not even sure she really needed to do it, she just needed to stop making things worse for her, and Lacey acknowledged that she'll always regret the decisions that led to this. But hey-ho, they managed to have the fond reminiscence about Theo that they probably should have had a long time ago.

Jo suddenly being head over heels for Eddie again when she was meant to be with Tane a week or so ago isn't exactly casting her in a good light. I did quite like that she didn't fancy giving her statement with David gawking at her. And now, a few words from Justin later, David's decided to have a go himself. I was kind of expecting Lacey to walk in on him after ditching Jo but didn't happen yet.

Remi manages to win back the points he lost last time round: He had to try but Bree's made her decision and he's accepted it. I'm not sure that organising a gig at Salt off his own back was the best way to get over it: I can see Mackenzie not being amused.

EDIT: Oh, and we get confirmation that Jo's full name is Josephine!

I'm glad Lacey accepted Leah's apology so readily because as she said she blamed herself  for Theo's death when in actuality   it was Wendell.  Jo more or less said the same as Lacey but for her, of course, it  had been more traumatic as for two years she wasn't sure if she had caused it.  That was a nice little nudge from Justin that prompted David  to do his  and was very heartfelt and we saw him as much more sympathetic character and as he said he'd lost the love of his life. He was speaking as a husband and father NOT a cop. We'll never know of course but could have Wendell been drink driving, Jo did  say he'd been weaving all over the road.  Tane got short shrift when Jo called him  him  her PT instructor when she and Eddie saw him in Salt and Eddie asked her who he was. You can't blame Eddie for thinking that is who he is when they bumped into each other  later.   Tena was very  cool with Jo the next day but what did she expect. Tane is going to have other things on his mind later this week. 🤐🤫🙊

Good that Remi backed down from berating Bree and telling her he had hopes of them getting back together because as she said later she still loves  him but isn't in love with him.  Sonny soon clocked why Remi  was so gung ho at getting Eddie a  gig at Salt that night, it was to take his mind off Bree.  Mac scuppered that idea but was willing to have him  perform the next week, must have been a relief for Eddie in a way, he'll have more time to get some more songs together.  He did seem very sniffy at performing at Salt when Remi first suggested it, he doesn't know what the place is like at night but we know how good the audience can be with new acts he's not being thrown into the lions den.

Mac and Levi do seem to be in a much better place.

Remi springing a gig on Mackenzie without any notice to make arrangements was always going to be a hard sell.At least she did quickly come back with another arrangement, not that it improved his mood.Cash said that he was still Eden's best friend but Remi didn't seem to see it that way, although he snapped at Levi too so at least it's not personal.Eden claiming she has nothing to look forward to in front of Cash went down like a lead balloon.

Guess it must have been a kick for Tane to realise that Eddie's been immediately welcomed into the fold by David, who's been warning him off. Jo distanced herself from him way too far with Eddie, although I doubt saying they were just friends would have pleased Tane either. At least with Mackenzie in the mix he's got someone else to confide in.

I guess the farm house set must be in storage, hence everyone hanging around outside in what looks like the freezing cold. I know Levi and Mackenzie decided to halt the IVF but immediately going back to overindulging in...alternate babymaking activities seems an odd decision.

Be  fair to Eddie but he does have history with the Langham family  but I think David would welcome any bloke as long as it wasn't Tane. Going off on a  a tandem but will Lacey change her name back from Miller to Langham now she's reconciled with her dad? Good advice from Mac about Tane not giving up with Jo if she is the one he wants to be with, but as hinted, he'll have other things to think about. 🤐🤫🙊

Were Levi and Tane being macho then as they were only wearing short sleeves, but Mac was wrapped up in that big coat.  I'm guessing they were stock shots of Archie as he seemed to have the same expression in all of them.

At least Mac and Levi are having fun without the stress of IVF hanging over them.

Eden is feeling a bit lost with any music to fall back on but she certainly could have phrased what she said to  Cash a  lot better. She was making sound like all she was was a housewife and a worker at Salt and stepping up to fill in when Mac  has time off.   Not surprising Cash walked of in a huff.  She needs something of her own to focus on.

Nice nice scenes with John and Dana next time round.

Levi, Eden and I think Tane were all wearing jackets today, so I guess the cold got to them! The "Levi and Mackenzie want to have sex but there's always someone about" gag was more eye-rolling than funny and ultimately seems to be an excuse to get rid of them for a bit since they've run out of episodes. That said, I did enjoy the conversations that resulted, from Levi giving Eden advice to the banter between Mali and Abigail. I hope Mackenzie was joking about cancelling Eddie's gig though, it seemed a bit extreme!

Well, some wise words from John and Levi respectively (Marilyn was as much use as a chocolate teapot in her one token scene) saw Cash and Eden see each other's point of view. I mean, I guess her not wanting to spend her whole life waiting tables in Salt is progress, but Eden suddenly giving up on being a musician feels a bit disappointing.

Dana saying John's been more like a father to her than her own was kind of sweet. I have sympathy for Harper, but she really needs to get the message that Dana doesn't want to be dragged into her family reunion. Dana dropping her in it with Tane seemed unnecessarily spiteful and I wonder if she'll regret the consequences or take Tane's side. Tane seems to have learned nothing from Poppy: At least he's the father this time but he's still taken a child away from their mother because he thinks he knows best. It's not like his family are exactly saints.
