Leah has indeed made an appearance tonight, swallowing her pride enough to enter the Beach House and record a Victim Impact Statement.  Is this the first time she's actually recognised Wendell's complicity?

Wouldn't Jo and David also record statements, though, given that Wendell is going down for two counts?

Looks like Bree might be not long for the Bay, with her work getting more recognition than she initially bargained for.

It was quite the u-turn from Mac after words from Tane and Abi but Levi did appear to get completely the wrong idea thinking she didn't want a family with him at all. Therefore it was good they talked and agreed to put the IVF on hold.  Bedsides it may depend on whether he still has a job after  he talks to the equivalent  of our GMC because of his assault. We don't know if any of the staff at ND's turned up at his trial or gave written statements on his previous behaviour and how his outburst was totally out of character which is why he was given a good behaviour bond.  I can see why he thought his colleagues would see him differently.

It's hard to work out how Jo is really feeling about Eddie turning up again in her life.  I have the feeling he is more into her than she is him, it was her that finished with him.

A more controlled Leah, putting that photo up, but then David turned up and upset her again.  It does seem odd Jo hadn't been asked to give a  Victim Impact Statement yet Cassandra was.  I don't know how it works in Aus but maybe it's because David is a cop so it means he can't/isn't allowed to. 🤔

It can't be easy for anyone to do that as it will bring everything back, but as Lacey wisely said if what they say makes sure Wendell goes down for a lot longer then so be it and the fact they don't have to go to court but it can be done on video would help. He would have a good defence team to make sure he only serves  the minimum, it's their job. Is it just for Theo's killing or is the fact he killed Kristina being taken into account?

Pretty gutsy of Lacey approaching Leah again and asking her to give hers and saying she'd help her and that they could do it together.  Leah did indeed turn up at the Beach House, but she  fled, saying it was too hard.   I think we see the repercussions of that later.

We did need to see something lighter and it came with Abi and Lacey coming back with all those bags. 😃 As Milo said to Lacey it was good to see her smile.  I did like how he didn't want to get involved in  the LeviAbi/Mac debate.

Bree won a victory then over her fight  for more security for the front line staff with them being  given security alarms.  Would that be like the body cams they have in Casualty?  Warn/caution any stroppy patients or relatives they'll switch them on if they don't quieten down.  We have seen plenty of times the locals who have had someone brought get stroppy with the staff when they feel they aren't being told what they want to hear.  I'm supposing they have to use their discretion as some patients who come round in a E/D could be frightened and unintentionally  lash out.  Good we saw men there at Bree's too as it's not just women who can be attacked.   That was unexpected and good news for Bree- won't say more. 🤫

Alf's episode count this week:Three.

Yep, Leah was in the episode. There does seem to be a distinct contrast between how she's coping with all this and how Lacey is.Lacey is the one approaching Leah again, and even though Leah tried to give her short shrift, she also let her say more to her than she has at any time since Theo's died, so maybe that's progress, even if her instinct was still to go looking for Sonny in a way that increasingly suggests dependency.David did say he needed to speak to both Lacey and Jo, but Jo wasn't in the episode.Anyway, Leah turned up at the end willing to take part.Maybe she's finally twigged that there's a more deserving candidate than Lacey for the title "the reason Theo died".

A victory for Bree then, not sure what swung it but she got the gratitude of both the nursing staff and Doctors Without Borders.I did quite like the nurse who didn't have a clue how to handle being in a social situation with Bree.

Levi jumped to conclusions a bit about Mackenzie, which led to Abigail going all gung-ho in a misaimed way, although her advice that Levi speak to Mack ultimately turned out to be correct. Finally on the same page then!

I'm surprised there was no overlap with John congratulating Bree and mentioning the title of said organisation in its native tongue (Medicins Sans Frontiers) before "Parising" her half to death like he's been doing with everybody else lately 😁

Just as well Dimitrii isn't around because HE most definitely would have turned it back on Leah. "My Boy is dead because of you" and the slanging match ensuing.

Friday (Monday for 6pm linear peeps)

A gold standard episode.  Just beautifully written, acted and shot.  It takes a lot to make me really catch the feels, but yeah this one got me.  Home & Away doing what it does best.

Depends what part of Belgium, as half of it speaks Flemish.  Indeed, the Belgians have French and Flemish public broadcasters, who take it in turns to arrange/broadcast Eurovision each year, whereas for most of us reading this it's always the BBC for the UK or SBS for Oz.

I dunno why the UK bothers with Eurovision, the acts we send are mostly duff plus a section of countries actively hate us😂

Explain Israel.

I got it wrong Leah hadn't run out, she was sitting there  listening to Lacey giving her VIS which  was some statement, no histrionics  just  telling it as it was, saying how she had lost two people she loved to Wendell and how Theo had always been there for her which to me was so much more powerful. Leah was impressed and I think she saw Lacey in a different light.

Sonny turned up at Leah and Justin's house after missing  her calls and Leah returned home and told them she didn't feel she was ready to give her VIS and asked if Sonny could stay over which he did after ringing Dana. She did slip back into = sorry to stereotype- Greek mode by feeding Sonny up on  a huge breakfast, which she used to do for Theo. Once again Sonny gave good advice about how Leah would feel if she regretted not giving one at a later date. It did spur Leah into giving her VIS which like Lacey's was calm but very heartfelt.  I hope we hear that they, along with Cassandra's, make sure Wendell goes down for a very long time.

Now onto Bree and her good news, liked how Dana was writing a  lost of pros and cons.   She had applied for a position with Doctors Without  Frontiers before but chose not to follow it through as she didn't feel ready to leave the people she had come to love.  They may not be a  couple any more but she did owe it to Remi, with big hints from Dana, to tell him herself which she did. He seemed to take it well but.....🤐🤫🙊

Probably years of watching Helen and Theo Sr. do it
