Re: Leah asking if Justin wants a Medal.

The Guy deserves the bloody Victoria Cross as of late 😂.

And as for airings. I'd settle for being a week behind ala 2000.

As for same day broadcast, the answer is the same as it is every time this comes up: It's not going to happen while Channel 7 are unwilling to commit to a consistent schedule and just show however many episodes they have space for in a given week, and it's been like that for years so it's unlikely to change any time soon. Unlike Neighbours, which collapses into non-existence when its foreign investors pull out, Home and Away's owners don't need to keep the international buyers happy because they can manage without them. And there's no chance of every country in the world who broadcasts the show agreeing to adjust their schedule on a weekly basis to match Channel 7.

That's not what I've heard.  The Channel 5 deal contributes significantly towards production costs, or it certainly did in the 2000's & 2010's.  There's still going to be a significant black hole when - and I still think it's "when" not "if" - Channel 5 completely drop the show.  What is going for Home & Away which Neighbours didn't have is the amount of international broadcasters who take the show.

I agree Channel Seven's own scheduling is a bit arse about face but I'm sure there'd be ways around that (maybe reduce to 4 episodes a week across the board?  Which would solve a LOT of the show's inherent logistical problems such as the 3 episodes rule.)

Do Australia get early drops on 7+ or is it still Linear First there?

There was definitely something a while ago about Channel 5’s contribution being significant enough that they could count it towards their UK drama production quota.

That said, I think the show would survive without them.

Who ordered a Love Triangle with cheese on top?

David's about as good a cop as Jack Holden, again.  "My little girl needs something simpler."  So he's going to put pressure on her to rekindle with her ex, when despite being a senior officer of the law he's not worked out she's having amazing sex with Tane.

The question is how serious were they, and with Tane is it just about the sex?  I mean, they haven't really connected beyond the motel nookie.  Even without knowing what happens, it's obvious whatever they had was clearly serious, and not someone David minded her being with.

It's so obviously setting up for a big end of season payoff though, oh Home & Away writers, never change. 😂

I think if Channel 4 didn't want to dislodge their precious evening repeats it would be a Boon for them if C5 gave up. Otherwise someone else certainly would.

Not everyone reads all the other sites on here, I don't as I don't want to know spoilers.

I'm thinking Remi didn't mean to exclude Eden, it's as he said involving her would be a kind of step back and he wants to move forward and do it on his own along with Sonny's help as he is new.

He shouldn't have mentioned Cash had spoken to him which didn't go down well with Eden, it's like having your mum putting in  a good word for you with a new boss.

I thought it was Leah and Justin with the hand grab at the start of the opening credits, the woman is wearing the same dress as we see  Leah  wearing in a later shot.  What is confusing is seeing Eden not having streaks in her hair, then later she has got them.

I suppose Eden and Cash can get a copy of that photo with them with Theo later and thought they would give her that one now rather than later.🤔

Many, many years ago we did get very close to Channel 7's broadcasts but then for some reason we fell back.

Quite the coinky dinky Eddie running into David  like that, they obviously got on very well  back in the day and Eddie knew about Jo's panic attacks so they knew each other after Kristina  was killed.  We don't yet why they broke up though.  Maybe David is thinking if Eddie and Jo got back together Tane would definitely be out of the loop, but kind of like Remi wanting to run Back on Track by himself having Eden on board would  be a back step Jo may feel the same.  Eddie was in her past and it was  a bad time for her so doesn't  want to go there.  David maybe a good cop at  detecting things but when it's your own family it's different, Jo is pulling the wool over his eyes.  I think there may be more to Jo and just sleeping together.

Justin and Sonny did reach an agreement about Leah turning to him over Theo, Sonny said he wouldn't turn Leah away if she came to him again, but would tell  Justin which he was OK about.

Oh I did spot that  Tane doesn't know where Harper has gone as he told Cash/Jo she's at some work thing.  Sweet shot of Archie hiding behind his blanket.

This Eddie knows Jo development has me rolling her eyes. Technically, we don't know he's her ex, but that's the clear implication. It feels like we've been building up to Tane and Jo getting together for months (which is why it feels like it's more than sex, there's been a close bond between them for a long time), and now it's finally happened they immediately throw in a complication? I do feel like this rule about Tane not having Jo over isn't going to work in the long run. Harper isn't even there although she wasn't keen on seeing Tane and Jo with Archie once before.Fair play to Tane for finding a solution, I guess, even if the promo indicates it's all for nothing. I had to look back to see exactly what did happen when Cash looked after Archie before, sounds like it was nothing cataclysmic.

Cash kind of did the worst thing possible in sending Eden into the lion's den with Remi, he should have either told Eden what Remi said or, more sensibly, messaged Remi to let him know what Eden was doing.A vague "I don't think that's a good idea" was never going to do any good.Remi's stance is one of those "I get it but I don't get it" things.I can understand him wanting to move on from Lyrik, but it's not like Eden's asking him to perform with her again, it's a different set-up.So I do feel he's being rather dogmatic in excluding her.

Justin and Sonny, who seem to have been intermittently at odds throughout the whole of Sonny's time on the show, seem to have reached some sort of compromise at least.

I believe Home and Away's 230(?) episodes a year account for a lot of Channel 7's quota of homegrown drama, so it might not be in their best interests to cut the output to 80%. It wouldn't necessarily be a magic solution anyway, they'd still need to commit to showing those four episodes in a consistent manner and probably need to renegotiate actors contracts.

It wasn't kept a 'secret' long was it about Eddie turning up and who he was.  Tane cornered Lacey who tried to persuade Tane to talk to Jo about  him but had to admit Eddie was her ex. She did own up to Jo that she had told Tane who Eddie is/was. I know Tane and Jo haven't been together that long and they haven't declared undying love to each  other and she isn't cheating on Tane.  Jo, it seems, broke up with Eddie after her mum died.  Does Eddie just want to pick up where they left off and act like the last two years hadn't happened?   It didn't,  from what Jo said, he didn't know Lacey had gone missing.

I'm guessing Ada has done her three days as we haven't seen her, no I'll amend that. 🤫  We also saw Levi who had just had his trial for whacking that patient.

Mac going from one extreme to the other.  🤪  At least she and Levi did FINALLY manage to get on the same page again.

Jo's being sensible; seeing Eddie again after all that's happened must bring up a lot of emotions that she needs to sort through.

Jo really wasn't acting like she was in a relationship during her chats with Eddie.Lacey did her best to get out of giving Tane chapter and verse, but in the end, she couldn't give him the wrong impression and I think she summed it up well.I guess if Jo does still have feelings for Eddie, then it makes sense to put the brakes on with Tane, but that look back suggests part of her's regretting it already.

I guess episode counts came into play but it's a bit weak that we had two episodes focusing on Levi and Mackenzie, and then we get one hug and then they don't appear for over a week, at which point it's suddenly...well, not back to normal, but closer to it. Levi seemed to have replaced Mackenzie as the one being snappy in the early part of the episode, I thought Mackenzie asking if he's worried about losing the respect of his colleagues was a perfectly valid question given he wasn't exactly being forthcoming.I suppose she had good intentions in suggesting IVF again but she hadn't thought it through.Unfortunately, she did indeed go from one extreme to the other after a few comments from Tane and Abigail, and it does seem to be to keep Levi happy.

I liked the Lacey/Abigail friendship scene at the start.

And yes, Leah was in the promo, so chances are next episode will be her third episode for the week.
