It was Leah this time who invited Sonny to stay for dinner, but she continues to actually get on well with Justin so there's some positives to take from it. Remi did railroad Sonny a bit with regards spending the weekend going to gigs with him, but Sonny had the option to back out and decided to go with him. Maybe he's realised that throwing himself into the studio, to the point of literally living there, is Remi's way of coping with losing Theo.

I guess the "Marilyn's busy" stuff must be going somewhere, but I don't think anyone's at fault here. Leah's offered to help out if she needs it and isn't in the right head space to see through Marilyn's breezy "I'm fine" attitude. I'm not sure that Alf clucking around like a mother hen is doing much to help the situation either.

Levi's obviously at breaking point with regards the wall of silence from Mackenzie, and then he broke.The set-up did feel rather contrived: Given that patient didn't seem to have any real injuries, why was he there for so long instead of having a plaster slapped on his boo-boo and being sent on his way? If someone had been injured in a dangerous driving incident, why weren't the police already there or at least on their way, rather than no-one thinking of calling them until the patient got aggressive? He was obviously going to get punched at some point but I'm not sure it had escalated that far.

Tane blowing cold with Jo, I guess it's his turn. This endless will they/won't they is eroding any interest I had in the pairing.

I meant first time round. He said he wouldn't have got into managing bands if not for Theo, and Remi then claimed Theo talked Justin into it. Which doesn't really apply in either case?

I think they should bring back Roo to work at Diner at least give her something to do on show other then just randomly walking around Surf  Club or Summer  Bay House . 
 

I remember Roo feeling bored in Diner couple years back and Alf said why don’t return to teaching and thought Alf was going to say why not return to work here you spend most of you time here.

So, the chef extra who we've never really seen and has no lines (presumably an Australian Equity thing?) just waltzes off leaving Maz to cook and serve?

Feels like pride got in her way somehow, and as a result we end the episode with her fainted and unconscious.  The last time I saw someone collapse in the Diner it didn't end well.

Before Maz collapsed, she looked at the calendar and the 17th (no month specified) was marked as what would have been Theo's birthday - I notice this episode aired in Australia on the 20th October, so the dates sort of tally given the way the show is scheduled down under.

However, I'd have expected Leah, Justin or Lacey to mention it?  His death aired in Oz on October 1st; we've had a month off so it's easy to forget that "in canon" he's only been gone about three weeks, not even that if you think about it.  For his first posthumous birthday to come around that soon after his passing, surely that would have been a big deal?  Anyone who's suffered a bereavement like that knows that both the first birthday (and the first Christmas) are horrible.

Interestingly, the promo is given over to the aftermath of Tane and Jo getting it on in a seedy motel room.  Well, they can't really go to where either of them live can they?  Usually we'd be told, "yeah don't worry, Marylin's going to live, nothing to see here."

No Alf wasn't helping clucking about, made her even more tense and determined to carry on.  It seemed only Leah and Maz can do the accounts and rotas and she's got staff suddenly going off sick and no back ups.  Wonder who will find her? She can't keep claiming "everything's  fine" now. Not  a bad idea there j.laur5 about Roo stepping in to help, she's currently with Martha isn't she so Alf could ring her to come back and help out.  Not sure if Maz could afford it but I think Leah should offer to sell her half share of the Diner seeing how she steps in whenever Leah is off and did the same when Irene was off. 

Bit sneaky of TPTB not showing us the month where it was circled the 17th would have been Theo's Birthday.  Theo died on the 2nd October so it has to be still October. Last night's second episode was  shown on the 16th October in Aus so a day before Theo's Birthday. As you said JM the first Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary is always  the worse, especially if it's so close to the loved one dying. 

Tane as we saw has decided not to tell Jo why he was blowing hot and cold, but just told her he wants them to be a couple.  Then they er um coupled up at that motel.  Going by the promo Jo gets rumbled when Lacey sees the message from said motel asking for Jo's feed back.   David will not be happy when he finds out. 

It had to happen didn't it just as Bree has been telling Levi how far she didn't get with those in power about getting more security for the front line staff, then Levi blows up at a patient, who was aggressive towards Bree.  The signs were there, him being overheard by the staff shouting at Mac on the phone behind a closed door.  He can't take it out on Mac so someone was going to be the unlucky one. 

Won't say more but there could be another conflict of interest coming up.
